    How is it that today so many African Americans, perhaps more now than ever before in history, so favorably and adamantly refer to themselves by the derogatory "N" word?   How is it that a word that we as a people once fought so adamantly against is now seen as a favorable term of endearment and empowerment among so many of us?   Why are so many of our male youths now admiring the deplorable behaviors of thugery and pimping?  Moreover, how have Black unity, racial pride, and educational aspiration, once hallmarks of Black identity -especially as so overtly demonstrated during the 1960's- so dramatically declined?  How and when did we African Americans become living contradictions of our former selves?  Do we continue to accept the easy and convenient answer that we as a people merely “just changed” – therefore our admirable cultural traits all merely disintegrated-- when integration and other subsequent opportunities became available?  Are we really to believe that the white race’s unmatched proclivity for racism magically disappeared and that it is only we that are now our own worst enemy? (Our thoughts of contempt has now been turned psychologically inward; it is a common combat strategy to turn a people against themselves)

     Within this same breath the question should also be asked of how and when did the white race become the litmus test and standard for all humanity despite their brutally racist history to the contrary of where of which all other races has been either their enemies or their victims?

    Many people of African descent-- those possessing the mental fortitude to remain psychologically awaken within a white dominated world that wants them asleep-- have pondered upon these very same profound questions their entire lives. They know that there is something going on. Many often can not fully explain it, but have felt it their entire lives like a splinter in their minds that something is terrible wrong.  Rather than partaking within the pathological struggle created by these profound questions this literature will instead reveal the long awaited answer.  It is a terrible truth that many Black people have intuitively always known was happening.

    These profound questions regarding the present state [and apparent mind set] of Black America is not void of a rational and intelligent explanation.  The present state of Black America [as with Blacks else where within a white governed society i.e. the U.K, Canada, etc...] is the result of a governmentally deplored modern method of control.  Although today most African Americans do not experience racism the way their parents experienced it, they do, however, still experience White racism.  White America's practices of economically exploiting and suppressing its Black population were never actually abandoned, but instead sophisticatedly reincarnated. White America's methods of institutional racism has been secretly modified into a more contemporary and stealthy design.

    As a means of  maintaining its white dominance and control over its Black population, the U.S. Government now secretly deliberately disseminates false deplorably racially devaluing statistics and propaganda about its Black population that are deliberately designed to adversely manipulate and shape the minds and collective consciousness of its African American population-- corrupting African Americans sense of unity, cohesion, and reason -- and facilitates a consensual national environment  of where in which its Black population is more easily divided, exploited and ultimately suppressed.  When most people hear the term of psychological manipulation they usually think in terms of the classic "conspiracy theory" that refers to overt mind control such as mind altering drugs with carefully hypnotic programming. However, the real and true dangers are Bernays well proven methods of affecting the unconscious mind by using deception, and psychological manipulation. It is neither magical nor mystical, but a process that involves a set of basic social psychological principles.

    This modern system prevails by using misinformation as a tool to spread false beliefs and fears to influence the masses to ensure that its white dominance and control is maintained. The usage of information is rarely considered when discussing method of emitting white racism; however information is the single most important thing that moves the global economy, influences political regimes, and constructs human behavior. Information management, social engineering, and traffic shaping are the evil crafts of the digital age.  Information is the single most important thing that moves the world economy, influences political regimes, constructs human behavior and, when put together, defines meaningful thoughts. It is a tool of our trade and a powerful ally, but it can also be used as a weapon of mass destruction.

     The constant relentless bombardment with deplorably negative images of themselves that of which African Americans are so inundated with is a very carefully and deliberately designed mass media social manipulation program that subjects African Americans--through a white controlled media --to seeing only the fraudulent worst in themselves. Its unrelenting daily assault on the Black psyche drills the message that Blacks are powerless, of lesser moral, and intelligence and that they need whites to govern over their lives.  It totally detaches African Americans from their sense of power and reality. Moreover, it corrupts African Americans’ sense of racial unity and cohesion, mold the character of self-hatred, engender self-doubt, self-loathing, and distrust among their group while insinuating that Blacks admire, respect, and trust only Whites

     

     Unlike the blatantly overt system of racism used in the past that resulted in African Americans unifying themselves against it, this modern system of racism is not easily recognized or comprehended by its Black victims.   It is so subtle, pervasive, well-organized, complete, and proficient and yet most African Americans are totally unaware of this method of emitting white racism. In fact most African Americans will find it too shocking to contemplate. 

    Nevertheless, it is directly intertwined with the extensive challenges negatively impacting Black America today. It is so well disguised that although many of its Black victims may instinctively feel that there is something wrong, they are however unable to sufficiently conceptualize it so that they can unify and defend themselves against it.  It is so sophisticated that even the very brightest of African Americans may have little, if any hope of extricating themselves from its detrimental effects. 

     Unfortunately for Black America, this modern racist system will not be discontinued by the white elites because of the historic and unprecedented presidency of Barrack Obama alone.  America’s true rulers, the white elites that maintain their powers and status regardless of who is president, merely intends to use this presidency as a global marketing campaign as a means for restoring America's eroded global image and standing in the world.  They will also use it to solidifying their positions of white dominance and control by perpetuating the false hood that America has truly become a fair and equal society thus making all minorities cries for true equality even lesser heard.  

     Unless the masses of Black people are made aware of this modern racist system and unify themselves against it, the white elites will continue to use it against us --even with one Black president.   

    From the perspective of the white elites this action against its Black population is deemed necessary as a means of preserving its White dominance and control. If the U.S. government did not treat its Black population in a manner which promoted maintaining its White dominance and control, it would be diametrically opposed to itself--its white preservation and dominance.  This hidden scenario has always necessitated the U.S. Government to secretly use every conceivable means and opportunity to suppress the advancement and growth of its Black population; even those suppressive methods that contradict its own stated moral and ethical values. [This statement is affirmed by  evidential facts of history’s  Jim crow laws; Tuskegee experiments, Federally funded eugenics program targeting Black birth rates; CIA’s involvement  in  disseminating drugs and high powered weapon into Blacks communities ; Federal enhance sentencing laws that targets Black populations; FBI COINTEL programs that negatively targeted  Black enhancement programs and groups.]

     

    Through this sophisticated media deployed psychosocial program African Americans are perpetually misled and manipulated by way of fraudulent negative media reports and false statistics that are designed to corrupt their sense of unity

    This psychological manipulation program works by affecting the unconscious mind through deception. It uses the psychology of deceit to adversely affect the recipient group in terms of their behavior. To the detriment of many African Americans, it has been an extremely effective. It has successfully conditioned many African Americans to accept the dominance of Whites and white institutions over their lives by misleading them to believe that they are, themselves, their own worst enemies, therefore engendering an aberration of internalized self contempt that pulverizes Black unity and halts Black upward mobility. It is at the root of both the profound division and self hatred now afflicting so many Black Americans and is at the heart of internalized feelings of superiority that many whites possess.

     

    IT ALSO ENGINEERS CONSENT FOR THE MISTREATMENT OF BLACK PEOPLE

    . Not only does this massive governmental psychological manipulation campaign negatively impacts Blacks self perceptions, it also lesson pressure for social change in their behalf thus facilitating a national consensual setting for their easier exploitation and suppression. This media driven psychosocial program  conveniently provides a more socially acceptable and covert means of ensures that the masses of African Americans remains the most racially devalued and most economical exploited and suppressed group in America. 

    The media’s constantly depicted deplorable imagery of Black Americans creates a shift of victimization that changes the root problem of racism in America to be due to Black’s behavior rather than White’s proclivity for racism. Therefore engendering increasingly prejudiced distorted perceptions and acrimonious beliefs about African Americans that are designed to makes the nation and the entire world insensitive to their plight, tranquilizes efforts on their behalf, lessens pressure for social change on their behalf, and makes any serious criticism of White racism almost impossible today. Therefore fostering a national setting of where in which Blacks are more easily exploited and ultimately consensually suppressed. It also creates a false justification for the legal system’s mistreatment of African Americans wherein they are disproportionately incarcerated, given stiffer sentences, and are more likely than other racial groups to be treated brutally, beaten, and fired upon by police officers while they are unarmed. These injustices now goes ignored because the perception has subconsciously become that it’s all now justified.  When contempt of Blacks is made to appear to be justifiable, it is the fiercest and most effective type of racism because its witnesses, bystanders, and even world audiences will sit by idly allowing African Americans to be brutally mistreated under the belief that it is justified. This method of control and suppression is based upon the methods of propaganda techniques of renowned psychologist and United States propaganda specialist Dr. Edward Bernays. This is what mass manipulation propaganda specialist Dr. Edward Bernays referred to as “engineering consent”. 

    The effects of this social program are also manifested in ideas, education, governmental policies, economic stratification, social segregation, housing markets, hiring and promotion practices, psychological issues, and minority access to a variety of social services and opportunity. It also affects attitudes that when enacted through governmental policies, laws, and other legislation actions, serve to ensure that African Americans will not advance.  Through the usage of mass psychological manipulation White America’s methods of institutionalized racism has been secretly modified into a more sophisticated and stealthy design. Unfortunately to the detriment of many African Americans this modern system of deploying white racism has been very proficient.  Some studies have shown that this social program has engendered increasingly acrimonious beliefs and prejudiced perceptions about and against African Americans that are arguably stronger today than they were after emancipation.

    This is not an attempt to shirk our own personal responsibilities as Black people but is instead a truth that needs to be recognized and address if Black people are to be apart of the future. This present stated of Black America is the results of this detrimental social engineering program.

    Because this literature exposes the profound dimensions of hidden, conspiratorial racism that secretly still exists at governmental levels in the United States, these are therefore very dangerous areas that the author is exploring.  For if this disclosure was to become better known among African Americans, the U.S. Government would most certainly initiate a national campaign of spin control and coverage through the national media and the Internet with experts lined up to dispute its premise.  The reason of why is because this article offers the truth for those who will listen for it.  The many problems now facing Black America will not be corrected by implementing outdated strategies of foot marches, speeches, or the commemoration of fallen Black martyrs.  We can also no longer survive as a race addressing this modern system of racism using nineteen century strategies.  Nor will these problems be corrected by the preaching of scriptures from any of our religious texts but instead only by exposing and addressing this modern covert system of control that I refer to as the “Black Matrix”. It is the fiercest and most lethal system of institutionalized racism now facing Black America.  A reality of truth must prevail if we Black people are to be a part of the future. We can no longer survive as a race hanging on to given white misinformation used to confuse, divide, exploit and ultimately suppress us as a means of maintaining their white dominance. 

    We Africans and African descendants throughout the world must educate our selves about what is really going on. This understanding is in fact extremely imperative if Black people are to be a part of the future. In order for Black people to acquire real positive change within the entire global community it is imperative that we understand how white racism has sophisticatedly evolved and then confront it unrelentingly.

    The Secret Governmental War on Black America THE BLACK MATRIX: The Modern Mental and Social Suppression of African American Under National Interest © 2006, 2008 by Franklin G. Jones                                        The present despairing state of Black America is neither a baffling phenomenon, nor the result of some innate racial deficiency among Blacks, but rather instead the result of the White elite’s innate proclivity for always reinventing devious methods of  suppressing its Black population-- as a means of maintaining its white dominance and control. The architect of the modern method of suppression now used against Black America was the late Dr. Edward Bernays.   “If we understand the mechanism and motives of a group mind, it is now possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without them knowing it"         -- Dr. Edward Bernays      Dr. Edward Bernay’s was a nephew of Sigmund Freud and one of the most skillful experts in mass manipulation.  He invented the modern day Madison Avenue advertising Agencies by using his Uncle Sigmund's knowledge of the human psyche to make people feel they needed whatever product was being advertised. Edward Bernays also invented the public relations profession in the 1920s and was the first person to take Freud's ideas to manipulate the masses. Bernays was one of the main architects of the modern techniques of mass-consumer persuasion. He showed American corporations how they could make people want things they didn't need by systematically linking mass-produced goods to their unconscious desires. His most notorious feat was breaking the taboo on women smoking by persuading them that cigarettes were a symbol of independence and freedom.   You've Come a Long Way Baby!    Bernays was convinced that this mass method of manipulation was more than just a way of selling consumer goods. For him it was a new political idea of how to control the masses. By satisfying the inner irrational desires that his uncle, Sigmund Freud, had identified, people could be made happy, docile, angry, self hating or even confused.   During World War I, Bernays and journalist Walter Lippman were hired by then United States President, Woodrow Wilson, to participate in the Creel Commission, the mission of which was to sway popular opinion in favor of entering the war, on the side of Britain. The war propaganda campaign of Bernays and Lippman produced such an intense anti-German hysteria as to permanently impress America’s governmental elites with the potential of large-scale propaganda to control public opinion. Edward Bernays advised US presidents from Woodrow Wilson to Eisenhower and served numerous corporations and business associations. This was the start of the mass media and governmental psychological manipulation programs which has come to covertly dominate today's world. One of Bernays biggest fans was Hitler's propaganda chief, Joseph Goebbels, a fact about which Bernays bragged proudly.  A common pattern used repeatedly by Bernays was to turn a harmless entity into a fearsome enemy through lies and manufactured news items. Then use the "threat" to justify attacking the entity. Edward Bernays coined the terms "group mind" and "engineering consent", important concepts in practical propaganda work. Bernays said in his 1928 book Propaganda, that; "The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. He further states that; “If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, it is now possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without them knowing it” The current public relations industry is a direct outgrowth of Bernays' work and his method of mass psychological manipulation is also still currently used by the United States government.   The U.S. Government has an extensive history of conducting planned campaigns of extensive strategic psychological operations [based upon the works of Bernays] through the national media to influence and direct the perception and climate of the nation towards its governmental objectives. Given that the nineteen sixties were a period of massive black rebellion and unrest that eroded the American global image and increasingly placed the nation’s peace and stability in dire jeopardy and perhaps most particularly because the nations top sociologist and psychologist knew that those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. This quite logically necessitated that the U.S. Government employ these same proven methods of mass psychological manipulation against its entire African American population.       Today as a means of maintaining its white dominance and control the U.S. government now manipulates, and shapes the minds and collective consciousness of its Black population through the usage of misinformation disseminated through the mass media. Here is a simplified example of how this is being implemented against African Americans.  Let us, for example, imagine that a crew of people was aboard their own massive ship and that this ship was being shadowed by another neighboring ship that was constantly broadcasting derogatory messages to the first group. Such messages as that their ship was lesser, smaller, not seaworthy, perhaps slowly sinking or that their crew was incompetent and was planning a mutiny.  With time, the group receiving the negative messages, being unable to refute or to confirm these derogatory messages and deficiencies will grow weary and paranoid of the negative messages and will eventually comes to accept these negative assessments of themselves. The perception created by the taunting now unconsciously influences how the taunted group perceives themselves, subsequently causing them to become distrustful of themselves, doubting themselves, hating themselves and, eventually, fighting among themselves. The taunted group may even become so besieged by deep feelings of inadequacy that they may even jump into the sea and attempt to swim towards the taunting ship now believing it to be superior to their own ship even if their own ship was in fact better. The basis of this concept of mind manipulation is that the human being's most critical aspect is the mind and it works by affecting the mind through deception. Within a real life setting this mortifying psychosocial treatment is precisely what is being deliberately done to African Americans through corporate owned and governmentally controlled media outlets that deliberately subjected them to seeing only the fraudulently worst in themselves. This is done through an immense campaign of false derogatory misinformation and false negative media reports and statistics that are created by U.S. governmental agencies and then leaked to its collaborators in the news media, which either knowingly or unknowingly carry the stories as their own. These false information about African Americans are then disseminated unrelentingly everywhere; it is deliberately perpetuated through news releases in magazine articles, radio, television, press releases, documentaries, and false census reports perpetuating and framing the myth of Whites’ racial, moral, and ethical superiority over its Black population. However, the weapon is not in how the message is carried, but is instead within the messages that it carries and how these messages detrimentally affects the Black population at large. The overrepresentation of Black crimes and grossly exaggerated statistics of Black on Black violence within this psychosocial program are intentionally designed to create fear, hatred, and distrust thus molding the character of disunity and self-hatred among the Black community.  [Black’s own personal negative experiences and interactions with their fellow Blacks then merely confirm the program’s perpetuated message that it is they that are their own worst enemies]. The ultimately goal of this governmental psychosocial treatment of African Americans is to destroy the Black unity and cohesion that was historically the cornerstone of civil rights gains and that was a crucial factor of the survival of African Americans through more than four hundred years of racial oppression. [Logic dictates that given that unity and cohesion among African Americans was responsible for the demise of White America’s past system of blatant, institutionalized racism, then destroying this unity would be an essential objective of this psychological manipulation program.]   All African Americans have experienced the burden of this system of applied psychological conditioning, some more severely than others have.  It is experienced every time we [Blacks] read a newspaper, watch the evening news, listen to a radio report, enter a classroom and read its racially biased textbooks.  To the detriment of many African Americans, it has been an extremely effective. It has successfully conditioned many African Americans to accept the dominance of Whites and white institutions over their lives by misleading them to believe that they are, themselves, their own worst enemies, therefore engendering an aberration of internalized self contempt that pulverizes Black unity and halts Black upward mobility. It is at the root of both the profound division and self hatred now afflicting so many Black Americans and is at the heart of internalized feelings of superiority that many whites possess. And while many African Americans have successfully navigated through this psychologically mortifying mine field and have gone on to lead successful, productive lives, for far too many this immense devaluation can seem inescapable and tragically, over time, many begin to accept subconsciously and painfully the negative portrayals of themselves. Many also become discouraged by the acceptance that their society is also preconditioned to see the worst in them and that, therefore, if they were ever to gain acceptance, if it is to be won at all, that success would be hard won. This in turn manifests negative internalized psychological pain and distress within many African Americans that can take many forms. In fact, this governmental mortifying psychosocial treatment of African Americans may be the most aggravating, if not core, factor of the national phenomenon of self hatred; loss of educational aspirations; loss of unity, cohesion and racial pride; and fragile psyches of many African Americans today. It is in fact so fundamentally detrimental to the Black human condition and psyche that it may even affect the extent to which many African Americans realize their full human potential. This type of psychological manipulation program has also been proven very effective in rapidly destroying a group’s ethical and moral values and engendering negative cultural norms with regard to violence, brutality, and even murder. All people, to some degree, are products of cultural conditions and their worldviews operate outside of their level of consciousness. Therefore, no group can be preconditioned to see only the worst in themselves and not exhibit some degree of negative psychological impact.  Not only does this massive governmental psychological manipulation campaign negatively impacts Blacks self perceptions, but it also provides a more socially acceptable way to assure that the masses of African Americans remains the most racially devalued and most economical exploited and suppressed group in America.         The media’s constant, fraudulently inaccurate, negative imagery of Black Americans is designed also to create a shift of victimization that changes the root problem of racism in America to be due to Black’s behavior rather than White’s proclivity for racism. It also today affects attitudes that when enacted through governmental policies, laws, and other legislation actions, serve to ensure that African Americans will not advance. Its effects are manifested in ideas, education, governmental policies, economic stratification, social segregation, housing markets, hiring and promotion practices, psychological issues, and minority access to a variety of social services and opportunity.               Many researchers have concluded that this insidious racist propaganda manipulations program was originally orchestrated by London's Tavistock Institute of Human relations. Although it had existed for decades earlier, the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations was formally established as an independent not-for-profit charity organization in September 1947.  Headquartered in London, the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations is a leading organization in the use of new and experimental behavioral science programs. The Tavistock Institute is an independent organization that conducts research in the social and behavioral sciences, applied in the field of health, education and community development. The Tavistock Institute's research orientation places it between, but not in, the worlds of academia and consultancy; and its range of disciplines include anthropology, economics, organizational behavior, political science, psychoanalysis, psychology and sociology. However BRAINWASHING remains the primary function of the Tavistock Institute of Human behavior. It has developed pioneering breakthroughs in the field of mass manipulation and brain-washing techniques. Its experiments in crowd control methods have been widely used on the American public, a surreptitious but nevertheless outrageous assault on human freedom by modifying individual behavior through topical psychology. The Tavistock Institute uses its skilled method of mass manipulation and societal social engineering to maintain social order-of which includes maintaining white dominance and control. The personnel of the corporations are required to undergo indoctrination at one or more of these Tavistock controlled institutions. A network of secret groups, the Mont Pelerin Society, Trilateral Commission, Ditchley Foundation, and the Club of Rome is conduit for instructions to the Tavistock network. The Institute’s prophet was Dr. Sigmund Freud, whom settled in Maresfield Gardens when he moved to England. Tavistock's pioneer work in science along Freudian lines of "controlling" humans established it as the world center of foundation ideology. Additionally Dr. Edward Bernays, Freud’s nephew and one of the most skillful experts in mass manipulation, was one of its most prestige’s members. In fact  Dr. Bernays was the first person to take Freud's ideas to manipulate the masses.      It is surmised that this system of mass manipulation of Blacks in America was implemented in the U.S in 1968 in the face of widespread violence that ensued after the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Dr. King’s brutal assassination led to many demonstrations of unrest and rioting disturbances; that of which were reported in more than 100 cities across the nation. This violence resulted in the loss of lives and property that cost the nation and taxpayers millions of dollars and increasingly placed the peace and stability of the nation in dire jeopardy.  America’s brutal racial mistreatment of African Americans had appeared to have reached its boiling point creating much unrest and discord. These factors, combined with the rapidly tarnishing American global image, led the U.S. Government’s agents of White supremacy to quickly reform their techniques of institutionalized racism.  The problem led to the then president, Lyndon B Johnson, ordering that a commission be formed, later known as the Kerner Commission, to investigate and prescribe a cure or recommendations for the problem. The Commission concluded that blatant White racism was the single aggravating factor for the collective problems. The Kerner report’s findings required that the U.S. Government abandon it’s condoning of open, blatant forms of racism to control and maintain White dominance. This abandoning of dated tactics led to the need for developing an improved method of controlling and suppressing its Black population.  Changing times made it necessary for the U.S. government to change its methods to a much more subtle and socially acceptable means of continuing its racial suppression of Blacks and to maintain its White dominance.  Clearly, the sophisticated method of psychological warfare met such a need.  It was the logical choice, perfect for the changing times.  Unlike the blatantly brutal forms of racism used in the past, which Blacks were able to identify easily and therefore unify and form counter strategies, this modern method of racism works from a psychological perspective The basis of this concept of mind manipulation is that the human being's most critical aspect is the mind and it works by affecting the unconscious mind through deception. Its weapon is the message that it carries and the way that it adversely affects the targeted recipient group in terms of their behavior. . This method provided the U.S. government a more socially acceptable method of continuing the White racial hierarchy for dominance and control given that it is not as easily recognized.  This new method exists in the space between overt racism and racial respect.  It provides the U.S government the ability to both influence the national climate and engender personal psychological feelings among  Americans that meets its governmental objective.    In order for we African Americans to overcome the profound feelings of hopelessness, confusion, and self hatred that still overwhelmingly plagues millions within our communities, we must synergized our energies and efforts towards countering the effects of the United State’s ongoing governmental mass media psychosocial treatment of us that is deliberately designed to render such disunity and confusion among our race as a means of ensuring that its white dominance and control is maintained. The objective of the United States government has always been to maintain its White dominance and control over its Black population, and clearly, psychological warfare meets this need. It was the logical choice because it covertly provided the U.S. Government with a far more sophisticated, proficient, and socially accepted means of covertly controlling and suppressing its Black population. Through this method the U.S. Government is able to both influence the national climate and engender personal psychological feelings among its Black population that meet its objectives of maintaining its white dominance.  Furthermore, history overwhelmingly demonstrates that the White race’s innate proclivity for racism, control, and dominance is much too deeply ingrained for them to just merely give up their practices of implementing suppressive methods over its African American population. The records of history show that the reincarnation of suppressive methods into forms more acceptable to the changing times is a common practice of the United States government.   As seen after the abolishment of slavery wherein its methods of using racist, oppressive treatment of its Black population was reincarnated into Jim Crow inequalities that included many devious strategies and methods that prevented Blacks from becoming registered voters.  And let us not forget the horrific Tuskegee experiments where of in which from1932 and 1972, the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) conducted dangerous syphilis experiments on four hundred Black men. These men were deliberately left to degenerate painfully under the ravishes of the disease – with symptoms including blindness, tumors, paralysis, insanity and death – to allow the U.S. Government to collect the needed data from their autopsies.  And let us also not forget of the CIA’s involvement in flooding the Black communities of Los Angeles with drugs and high powered weaponry and then disseminated these drugs and weaponry to many African American communities throughout the United States destroying the lives of millions of African Americans while stimulating the economy through the prison industry. The historic and demonstrative evidence overwhelmingly reflects the reality that the U.S. government does manifest a proclivity for reinventing devious methods to suppress its Black population.     Glenn Beck's advertisers are backing away -- help us increase the pressure

    Last week, after Glenn Beck called President Obama a "racist" who has a "deep-seated hatred for white people," we asked ColorOfChange members to call on Beck's advertisers to pull their funding from his show. More than 50,000 people have already joined the call, and today we have great news to report -- advertisers are starting to listen:

    Three companies who run ads during Glenn Beck -- NexisLexis-owned Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble and Progressive Insurance -- today distanced themselves from Beck. LexisNexis has pulled its advertising from Beck and says it has no plans to advertise on the program in the future. Both Procter & Gamble and Progressive Insurance called the Beck advertising placements an error that they would correct.

    Since we released our statement announcing the news this morning, another company, S.C. Johnson (Pledge, Ziplock, Off!) told us that it was a mistake for their ads to be running on Beck's show, and that they'd make sure it wouldn't happen again in the future.

    This is great progress, and it shows how effective it can be when thousands of people tell advertisers not to support this kind of hateful rhetoric. Now we need to step up the pressure on Beck's other advertisers. While Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble and Progressive Insurance were quick to respond, many others have avoided answering us, or refused to budge. We're currently in conversations with advertisers, and the more people they see joining this campaign, the more reason they'll have to listen.

    If you haven't done so already, please sign our petition to Beck's advertisers, and ask your friends and family to do the same. Moving forward, we'll keep you informed about effective ways you can pressure the advertisers to withdraw their support from Beck's show.

    Here's what Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble, and Progressive Insurance told us this week:

    "Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention," said John Michaels, Senior Communications Manager at LexisNexis in an email to ColorOfChange.org. "We have suspended further advertising during Mr. Beck's program."

    "We have no plans to continue advertising on Mr. Beck's show," Michaels continued in another email.

    When executives at Procter & Gamble were contacted by ColorOfChange.org, they said that any ads run during Glenn Beck were run by mistake, and that they would correct the problem going forward.

    "No P&G ads should have appeared on this program in the first place," said Martha Depenbrock, Brand Building Stakeholder Relations for Procter & Gamble in an email. "To be clear, if any of our advertising appeared on the Glenn Beck show, it was in error and we appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention. We will do what we can to see that it doesn't happen again."

    Progressive Insurance said any ads running during Glenn Beck were a mistake by Fox News Channel -- a mistake they have asked the network to fix immediately.

    "Our (advertising) order specifies no Glenn Beck," said Linda J. Harris, Media Director at Progressive Insurance in an email to ColorOfChange.org. "We have confirmed with the network that our spots should not be running there," Harris said in a later email.

    The decision by these three advertisers to distance themselves from Beck should help increase the pressure on others. The writing is on the wall -- Beck should not have the backing of mainstream advertisers. If we keep the pressure on, we believe we can seriously threaten his platform.

    Hello, I am concerned with the very vocal minority that has set out to derail what most of the American people voted for in November when we pulled the lever for President Barack Obama. That was change and get America back on track from the downward spiral it was on under continued illegitimate Republican rule. As we see that CNN refuses to air our ads to rid the network or Lou Dobbs or Fox Networks continued racist and unfair and bias attacks. Then why are we the good people who made our voices heard in November now letting a small and troublesome group continue to hijack the progress we want made to move American forward not backward. How long will we continue to remain passive and quite. They have made their intentions very clear they want  President Obama to Fail, They would rather have the country tank then support a Black President or any forward thinking that would move us past such a primitive level as shooting wolves from planes and moving us toward a more humane and intelligent way to deal with our continued time on the plant without destroying ourselves and everything on it.
    
    It is time for those who wanted change take charge and move our movement into the streets and town hall meetings to argue our point to shed light on lies, to get both sides of the story told. To continue our internet assault as well as targeting those who spew lies and untruths by targeting their advertisers. Hitting them where it hurts $$. They plan to stay on this until the elections to defeat the democrats. We also need to be on it to counter  their negative assaults on the uninformed. If Corporate America controls the airways then we can control the streets and how our dollars are spent. Now that the blue dog democrats have been outed  and targeted then they must also pay the price, we must inform the people of whom they have monetary allegiance to other than the voters.
    I feel it is time for the people to speak , if we really want change, if we really want this administration to succeed , if we truly want progress than we the people need to be about the business of getting that across to those who wish to block progress for their own political gain and not that of the people. If not now when. When it is time to vote again after those who wish the country harm have some success or are we willing to invest the time now.
    
    I SAY IT IS TIME TO ACT NOW. STAND UP AND LETS GET INTO THE STREETS ALL OVER THIS COUNTRY AND FIGHT FOR WHAT'S RIGHT AND WHAT WE BELIVIE IN.

    More and more, right-wing talk show hosts are bringing race-based fear mongering into the mainstream, but FOX's Glenn Beck just took it to another level. On Tuesday, Beck said:

     

    This president has exposed himself as a guy over and over and over again who has a deep-seated hatred for white people... this guy is, I believe, a racist.¹

    It's part of a larger argument Beck has been making:² that President Obama is using the White House to serve the needs of Black communities at White people's expense. This kind of talk stirs up fear, hate, and it can lead to violence.^3,4

    Together we can stop Glenn Beck.⁵ Starting today we're calling Beck's advertisers, asking them if they want to be associated with this kind of racist hate and fear-mongering. When they see tens of thousands of people signing on behind that question, we believe they'll move their advertising dollars elsewhere, damaging the viability of his show and possibly putting him out of business.

    Glenn Beck is appealing to the worst in America. Of course, some people refuse to accept the fact that our president is Black or the idea that he could truly serve all Americans. We know that. The only way these views will fade away is if they're not reinforced by mainstream society. Instead, folks like Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs,⁶ and Rush Limbaugh⁷ are exploiting racism and race-based fear to bump their ratings, stirring up racial discord in the process.

    The dangers of these tactics are real. We saw the same dynamic during the presidential race: by the end, the McCain/Palin campaign was unable to control the violent energy whipped up by their race-baiting. The result was an unprecedented number of threats on Obama's life, a rise in the number of hate groups, and an increase in the number of threats and crimes against immigrants and Black people.^8,9,10

    FOX has had a long history of race-baiting and racism on its shows, and we've run campaigns calling them out.^11,12 But Glenn Beck appears to be taking the network to an even lower standard. He's trying to divide and distract America when we should be coming together and talking about issues that really matter--like health care and the economy.

    The good news is that we have the power to stop this. All major media is funded by advertising. And advertisers, more than anything, care what consumers think. If we want to change what's happening and put an end to folks like Glenn Beck having a platform, we can do it.

    Steele: I'll Woo Blacks To GOP With "Fried Chicken And Potato Salad"

    The Young Republicans convention was held in Indianapolis last weekend and their election of a racist, middle-aged woman as President isn't the only controversial item to come out of the GOP gathering.

    Local Republican blog Hoosier Access was able to get RNC Chairman Michael Steele to sit down with a group of bloggers and they taped the conversation. The old gaffe-o-matic (or as I like to call him, the Republican Joe Biden!) answers a question from a gay person of color in this clip about the GOP's diversity outreach.

     

    Yes, that's right. To lure African-Americans into the GOP, Steele is offering "fried chicken and potato salad." Since he mentions Republicans should also be reaching out to the LGBT community, I wonder what stereotype he's going to offer us? Buttplugs and Birkenstocks?

    These are a small selection of some of the racially-charged comments posted to the conservative 'Free Republic' blog Thursday, aimed at U.S. President Barack Obama's 11-year-old daughter Malia after she was photographed wearing a t-shirt with a peace sign on the front.

    The thread was accompanied by a photo of Michelle Obama speaking to Malia that featured the caption, "To entertain her daughter, Michelle Obama loves to make monkey sounds."

    Though this may sound like the sort of thing one might read on an Aryan Nation or white power website, they actually appeared on what is commonly considered one of the prime online locations for U.S. Conservative grassroots political discussion and organizing - and for a short time, the comments seemed to have the okay of site administrators.

    Moderators of the blog left the comments - and commenters - in place until a complaint was lodged by a writer doing research on the conservative movement, almost a full day later.

    "Could you imagine what world leaders must be thinking seeing this kind of street trash and that we paid for this kind of street ghetto trash to go over there?" wrote one commenter.

    "They make me sick .... The whole family... mammy, pappy, the free loadin' mammy-in-law, the misguided chillin', and especially 'lil cuz... This is not the America I want representin' my peeps," wrote another.

    Such was the onslaught of derision on the site that the person who originally complained about the slurs, a Kristin N., claims only one comment in the first hundred posted actually criticized the remarks as inappropriate.

    A note on the front of the blog reads, "Free Republic does not advocate or condone racism, violence, rebellion, secession, or an overthrow of the government," but one comment on the thread read, "This disgusting display makes me more and more eager for the revolution," while another read, "I never actually wnated [sic] to be a pistol before but..."

    After attention from other blogs, the thread was suppressed and placed under review, but before long it was returned to the site intact, and attracted a new series of racial slurs when the original complaint email was posted publicly to the site, with the sender's email address intact.

    "The writer has a point," wrote site owner Jim Thompson sarcastically. "We should steer clear of Obama's children. They can't help it if their old man is an American-hating Marxist pig."

    "I agree Jim," wrote commenter, by the nickname NoobRep. "The kids didn't pick their commie pinko pansy of a father. Nor did they choose to be put into the spotlight. But Obama/Soetoro is fair game and so is his witch of a wife."

    "Poor kids. I hope they're not 'punished with a baby'," wrote another. "Hopefully they won't deal cocaine like the Kenyan."

    "DIRTBAGS! All of them. Our [White House] is now a joke to the rest of the world. We have no respect and this is not going to turn out well, mark my words. We will be hit, and much worse than last time. We are now seen as weak and vulnerable. Ghetto and Chicago thugs have taken over."

    Only after significant negative attention from a host of left wing political blogs did the maintainers of the Free Republic site place the thread under review for a second time, before finally pulling it.

    In the wake of the controversy, some Free Republic posters complained about the vitriol.

    One poster by the name of "fullchroma" wrote, "To Jim Thompson: The recent uptick here in racist vitriol, aimed at Barrack, Michelle and their children has made me wonder if I belong. My objection to Obama has nothing to do with skin tone. Is the ugly stereotype of Conservative racism true?"

    Another, going by the name of TChris, wrote, "Free Republic is a political discussion forum. It SHOULD be beneath us as a group to stoop to such juvenile tactics as I see increasing here lately. Do we REALLY have to insult Mrs. Obama's appearance like a clique of nasty 14-year-old girls?"

    But such opinions were not shared by all. Said Roses of Sharon, "Poor libs .... Too late, the battle has been joined."

    New York Congressman Peter King (R) came under fire for his extremely harsh comments about Michael Jackson, calling him a "child molester," a "pervert," and a "pedophile." However, he's doubling down on his statement with his appearance tonight on "The O'Reilly Factor."

    King told O'Reilly that he "stands by everything I said" in the video, and that there's nothing racist about it. King also claimed that his comments represented what "millions of Americans really felt."

    Here in Tennessee, our politicians (Republican and Democrat) still have not yet figured out that anything they do or say will be subject to scrutiny in the blogosphere, and that nothing they put online is private anymore.

    Further adding to the tragicomedy that is Tennessee politics, we are forced to deal with some of the most vicious racism you'll ever see without a white hood.  Whether it's implying that African-American Senate candidate is "going to steal all the white women," or implying that your African-American Presidential candidate is an anti-Semitic Muslim (whose middle name, by the way, is "Hussein"), Tennessee Republicans have truly mastered the art of the dogwhistle.

    But this new one takes the cake.

    Earlier today, a legislative staffer forwarded well-known West Tennessee blogger Newscoma a picture they had been sent from another staffer.  It's supposed to be an "historical keepsake photo" of the Presidents.  But no picture of President Obama--instead, just a "spook."

    Because, haha, in addition to being another word for a ghost, "spook" is also a racial slur against African-Americans!  Funny!  Not.

    The staffer who originally sent around the picture has now been revealed to be Sherri Goforth, an executive assistant for Republican State Senator Diane Black of Gallatin (a suburb of Nashville).  When contacted by Nashville Is Talking/WKRN Channel 2 (our ABC affiliate) blogger Christian Grantham, not only did Goforth refuse to apologize, all she could do was claim that she had simply sent it "from the wrong email address.  In other words, not sorry that she sent out a blatantly racist email, only sorry that she got caught.

    Well, yes, she did get caught.  And now it's all over the TN blogosphere, and will be on the news tonight.

    For those of you not familiar with her boss, Senator Diane Black, she's a Republican who was the main Senate sponsor of S.J.R. 127, a trigger amendment passed this year that, if passed in one more legislative vote and by a ballot initiative, will allow abortion to quickly be banned in Tennessee should Roe v. Wade ever be overturned.  She also rudely cancelled a meeting with GLBT activists from her own district (you know, people she was elected to represent) at the last second by saying that they "wouldn't change her mind" and therefore she didn't even need to hear from them.  So in other words, a really charming individual who's doing SO MUCH for the people of her district.

    Honestly, everytime I think my capacity to be shocked over the dogwhistle tactics the Tennessee GOP uses to appeal to the worst instincts of their based has been diminished, I quickly realize how wrong I am.  What truly pisses me off is not even the racism, it's that this sort of racism is being spread on my taxpayer dime.  I'm sure the conservatives are gearing up now to say, "Oh, come on you ultra-PC lib'ruls, it's just a JOKE, lighten up!"  But even if this were "just a joke" (which it's obviously not), we the taxpayers are paying you to do the state's business, not to send around racist "jokes."

    I talked to my local rep, Mark Maddox about it, and described the picture to him at a recent fund raising event. I think he was as appalled as I was. I was going to post it last week but there was a death in my family and I had to think about it.

    But, you know, people need to know that this stuff is going on. I would be just as angry if a democratic staffer had sent it.

    Dammit, Tennessee, haven't we moved past this kind of crap. I'm serious.

    Goforth admitted to sending the email, but she apologized only for sending it to the wrong people.

    "I went on the wrong email and I inadvertently hit the wrong button," Goforth said. "I'm very sick about it, and it's one of those things I can't change or take back."

                     It's evident Tancredo is only concerned about racism when it furthers his bigoted agenda.

     

    Yesterday, former Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo attacked Judge Sonia Sotomayor for being a member of the National Council of La Raza, absurdly likening the civil rights organization to "a Latino KKK without the hoods or nooses."

    Tancredo's outlandish cries of racism are difficult to take seriously considering his own well-documented bigotry. However, the conservative blog Little Green Footballs has flagged a lesser known story demonstrating Tancredo's embrace of intolerance. Apparently, the executive director of Tancredo's anti-immigrant Team America PAC (also executive director of Pat Buchanan's group, The American Cause) pled guilty to "verbally and physically assaulting a black woman" and will be sentenced in July. According to the Factual Proffer from the case:

    Had this case gone to trial, the Government's evidence would have shown beyond a reasonable doubt the following facts:

    On July 7, 2007 at approximately 7:15 p.m., at Jefferson and M Street, Northwest, in Washington, D.C., defendant was walking down the street when he encountered the complainant, Ms. [Redacted], who is African-American. The defendant uttered, "[N*****]," as he delivered a karate chop to [complainant's] head. Ms. [Redacted]'s [redacted] attempted to detain defendant, but defendant was able to escape. Ultimately, the defendant was stopped and arrested by Secret Service officers.

    The defendant, Marcus Epstein, is still featured prominently on Team America's website nearly two years after the crime. So, it's evident Tancredo is only "concerned" about racism when it furthers his bigoted agenda. (Though there is absolutely nothing racist about Sotomayor or La Raza.)

    YOUTH FOR WESTERN CIVILIZATION CO-FOUNDER FACES SENTENCING ON HATE CRIME ASSAULT IN JULY

    
    
    WASHINGTON, DC--Marcus Epstein, the young executive director of an organization chaired by Pat and Bay Buchanan, the reputed co-founder of a new racist college organization and a regular staple in paleoconservative circles, is to be sentenced for an assault on an African-American woman in Georgetown, DC that has been classified as a hate crime, court records show.

    According to documents obtained from District of Columbia's Superior Court, Epstein, 25, must appear before Judge Wendell P. Gardner on July 8 for sentencing after pleading guilty to simple assault charges stemming from an incident during the early evening hours of July 7, 2007. The documents state that Epstein was walking down the street making offensive remarks when he encountered the victim, called her the "N-word" and struck her in her head. He was briefly detained by the woman's husband, but was able to escape, only to be arrested minutes later by a Secret Service officer who witnessed the attack. According to the officer's statement, a friend of Epstein's informed him that he had been drinking.
    
    A restraining order to stay away from the couple has been imposed on Epstein. He currently faces a maximum punishment of 180 days in jail and $1000 fine and also had to continue mental health treatment, complete an alcohol treatment program, write a letter of apology to the victim and donate $1000 to the United Negro College Fund prior to sentencing.
    
    Epstein has been involved in political activism since his undergraduate days at the College of William and Mary, editing the Remnant, a now defunct conservative student newspaper on campus, and interning at the conservative Leadership Institute. In 2006 he founded the paleoconservative Robert Taft Club, and generated controversy when he attempted to hold a forum on conservatives and race at the Leadership Institute office building featuring his friend American Renaissance editor Jared Taylor on the panel. When learned of the nature of the forum, the Leadership Institute disallowed it to be held there, and it was moved. Epstein is also the executive director of The American Cause, the research foundation chaired by Pat Buchanan and Bay Buchanan that promotes an America First policy in trade, immigration, and foreign policy, and Team America PAC, a committee founded by former congressman Tom Tancredo and chaired by Bay Buchanan that supports an extremely restrictive immigration policy. Epstein's political activism also included appearing on The Political Cesspool, a white supremacist radio program hosted by Council of Conservative Citizen member James Edwards that proudly admits to hosting white supremacists and Neo-Nazi figures.
    
    In January, a new organization, Youth for Western Civilization was founded with Epstein as its Vice-President. "Youth for Western Civilization will educate, organize and train activists on campuses across the nation to create a culture that will promote the survival of Western Civilization and pride in Western heritage," says the group in their mission statement on their website. "This movement is focused on the support of Western history, identity, high culture, and pride and opposition to radical multiculturalism, political correctness, racial preferences, mass immigration, and socialism." Speaking events sponsored by YWC chapters at Vanderbilt University, American University and the University of North Carolina have been held in the face of public protest. The UNC event in April was squashed as speaker Tancredo was disrupted by activists.
    
    A press conference also in January with Epstein, Bay Buchanan, financial journalist Peter Brimelow, who also edits the racist anti-Hispanic website VDARE and Fox News correspondent Jim Pinkerton saw controversy for its call to the Republican Party to abandon reaching out to Hispanics and nonwhites and focus only on its white voting base. Because of his Jewish and Korean heritage, Epstein's presence has used by far right activists, supporters and by Epstein himself to deny charges of racism and anti-Semitism.
    
    Epstein has already started to make plans to step off the political stage. According to the biography on his website, he has been admitted to the University of Virginia School of Law and will begin taking classes in August 2009. "I will more or less suspend my political activities," Epstein wrote.

    White male conservatives, despite polling showing both the public and GOP insiders disagree, are maintaining that Sonia Sotomayor is an unqualified racist whose nomination is somehow an affront to the Supreme Court.

    While a variety of conservatives from different backgrounds have expressed reservations about Sotomayor, angry white conservatives have been consistently over-the-top, offensive and personal in their attacks. The 'racist' claim is based on one out-of-context remark the judge made. These conservatives, meanwhile, focus largely on Sotomayor's own race and the presumption that because she is not white, she must have benefited from affirmative action in every step of her career and thus deprived a more qualified white person of all of her successes.

    Pat Buchanan described Sotomayor in a column Friday as an "anti-white liberal judicial activist" as well as a "lightweight" who "covers up her intellectual inadequacy by bullying from the bench."

    John Derbyshire, at National Review Online, took admiration for Sotomayor's life story as an intentional insult to him and all other white people:

    I get mighty annoyed by the unspoken implication in a lot of commentary that anyone not a member of a Protected Minority must have grown up in a twelve-bedroom lakeside mansion and been chauffered off to prep school with a silver spoon in his mouth. Judge Sotomayor was raised in public housing? So was I. Her mother was a nurse working late shifts? So was mine. When did white working poor people disappear off the face of the earth? Where are the eager listeners to their "compelling stories"?

    On Bill Bennett's radio show Thursday, the Weekly Standard's Fred Barnes suggested that Sotomayor got into Princeton through affirmative action, and went on to suggest that most students probably get "some kind of Cum Laude."

    BARNES: I think you can make the case that she's one of those who has benefited from affirmative action over the years tremendously.

    
    BENNETT: Yeah, well, maybe so. Did she get into Princeton on affirmative action, one wonders.

    BARNES: One wonders.

    BENNETT: Summa Cum Laude, I don't think you get on affirmative action. I don't know what her major was, but Summa Cum Laude's a pretty big deal.

    BARNES: I guess it is, but you know, there's some schools and maybe Princeton's not one of them, where if you don't get Summa Cum Laude then or some kind of Cum Laude, you then, you're a D+ student.

    Conservatives have also suggested that Sotomayor's fondness for Puerto Rican food will somehow "influence her verdicts from the bench."

     

    Crazy all day, It is time for them to be exposed for who they really are.

    Black Rethugs are a joke. This is what is thought of them as well,  intellectual inadequacy is how they are dised behind closed doors. Any minority in this party at all is a joke. Democrats are no better, but they are not self-destructing for all the world to see.  They talk about their base. the part that is left out is they are all the base. They are the people they talk to.     Tom Tancredo, the former Colorado congressman and radical anti-immigration activist, stepped up his attacks on judge Sonia Sotomayor Thursday.     TANCREDO: If you belong to an organization called La Raza, in this case, which is, from my point of view anyway, nothing more than a Latino -- it's a counterpart -- a Latino KKK without the hoods or the nooses. If you belong to something like that in a way that's going to convince me and a lot of other people that it's got nothing to do with race. Even though the logo of La Raza is "All for the race. Nothing for the rest." What does that tell you?

    TANCREDO: She's a member! She's a member of La Raza!

    The only problem with Tancredo's claim is that "All for the race. Nothing for the rest." is not La Raza's motto. Instead, the group's motto is the utterly uncontroversial "Strengthening America by promoting the advancement of Latino families."

    The phrase that Tancredo incorrectly links to Sotomayor is, in fact, found only in the founding documents a wholly different group to which Sotomayor has no known affiliation.

    The La Raza claim is just the latest in a series of racially-tinged attacks that conservatives have been making against Sotomayor. On Tuesday, just after President Obama announced Sotomayer's nomination to the Supreme Court, Tancredo told MSNBC's Ed Schultz that Sotomayor has said plenty of "things that are racist."

    Indeed, Tancredo, who ran for president in 2008 on an anti-immigration platform, is no stranger to racist comments. One of his campaign ads suggested that illegal immigrants are likely to be terrorists and he has been behind efforts to deport all illegal immigrants from the country and outlaw immigration to the U.S..

    Regular working class and rural, suburban White Americans must feel a bit under assault as of late.

    How so you ask? Well, it started in the 2008 primary campaign with off handed comments being made by then candidate Barack Obama about "bitter Americans clinging to their guns and religion", then Senator Clinton started talking about "hardworking white Americans" in Pennsylvania as she desperately needed to carry that state.

    Everything was about race in the 2008 Campaign. Former President Bill Clinton was deemed a racist red neck jack asem>s who didn't know when to shut up according to the media, political pundits and many black politicians for his comments during the South Carolina primaries. McCain was deemed a racist simply because he existed and was the GOP standardbearer. Once he picked working class, university of Idaho educated, mother of five Alaska Governor Sara Palin all hell truly broke loose.

    I am so sick and tired of RACE. Period. When are we going to get over it? For Real folks. As someone who was an African American studies minor in college, pledged the oldest and most prestigious black women's sorority, was once a loyal card carrying member of the NAACP ( I did not renew my membership after the 2000 election campaign ads that ran against then Gov. George Bush paid for by the NAACP), started a very successful national organization for professional women of color, and I could go and on I am sick of the tearing apart of one set of Americans by their own fellow countrymen.

    Yes, I am defending my mostly white (some Tea Party goers were black, Hispanic, etc.) Tea Party attending brethren because enough is enough. On last Thursday's "Countdown," MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and his guest Janeane Garofalo defamed fellow citizens who attended the prior day's Tea Parties with vitriolic contempt. Ms. Garofalo actually called Party-goers "a bunch of teabagging rednecks," adding "this is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up."

    She is wrong and she knows nothing about true racism-having never spent a day of her life being black in America. I do know something about racism as I and millions of other people of color have endured and experienced its ugly insidiousness. It is not a word that should be thrown around lightly or recklessly. If we dare not stand in defense of our fellow citizens right to protest peacefully against our/their government then we are giving into a sneaky form of Tyranny. Race has nothing to do with the hardworking, decent American citizens who simply got sick and tired of being overtaxed and outspent by their government and showed up to do something about it.

    That is our solemn duties as Americans. This freedom is what makes us the envy of the world.

    I am deeply disappointed in the current dialogue that seems to be developing on the current American horizon. If we don't stop yelling at each other, hurling insults and names, and band together as a nation once again, then those who seek the undoing of their fellow citizens of a different opinion, thought or political stripe had better grasp firmly the old saying "what you gonna do when they come for you?"

Former President Bill Clinton was deemed a racist red neck jack as<!--em>s who didn't know when to shut up according to the media, political pundits and many black politicians for his comments during the South Carolina primaries. McCain was deemed a racist simply because he existed and was the GOP standardbearer. Once he picked working class, university of Idaho educated, mother of five Alaska Governor Sara Palin all hell truly broke loose.

    I am so sick and tired of RACE. Period. When are we going to get over it? For Real folks. As someone who was an African American studies minor in college, pledged the oldest and most prestigious black women's sorority, was once a loyal card carrying member of the NAACP ( I did not renew my membership after the 2000 election campaign ads that ran against then Gov. George Bush paid for by the NAACP), started a very successful national organization for professional women of color, and I could go and on I am sick of the tearing apart of one set of Americans by their own fellow countrymen.

    Yes, I am defending my mostly white (some Tea Party goers were black, Hispanic, etc.) Tea Party attending brethren because enough is enough. On last Thursday's "Countdown," MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and his guest Janeane Garofalo defamed fellow citizens who attended the prior day's Tea Parties with vitriolic contempt. Ms. Garofalo actually called Party-goers "a bunch of teabagging rednecks," adding "this is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up."

    She is wrong and she knows nothing about true racism-having never spent a day of her life being black in America. I do know something about racism as I and millions of other people of color have endured and experienced its ugly insidiousness. It is not a word that should be thrown around lightly or recklessly. If we dare not stand in defense of our fellow citizens right to protest peacefully against our/their government then we are giving into a sneaky form of Tyranny. Race has nothing to do with the hardworking, decent American citizens who simply got sick and tired of being overtaxed and outspent by their government and showed up to do something about it.

    That is our solemn duties as Americans. This freedom is what makes us the envy of the world.

    I am deeply disappointed in the current dialogue that seems to be developing on the current American horizon. If we don't stop yelling at each other, hurling insults and names, and band together as a nation once again, then those who seek the undoing of their fellow citizens of a different opinion, thought or political stripe had better grasp firmly the old saying "what you gonna do when they come for you?"

     I found this article very interesting it was written by an African American women, defending regular working class and rural, suburban White Americans feel a bit under assult. according to this artlce it started with Obama talking about "bitter Americans clinging to their guns and religion",.

    what I find really enlightening is she is defending them from their own kind. I really don't think they need an african american defending white folks from other white folks. This was her first article posted on Huffington. Is this the reason why she was even published.

    Is this what the Republic is coming to in the 21st Century? Political extremism has gone WILD!

    This is her question ? is she not asking the wrong people this!. Those folks at those tea parties and the previous article  I posted says what those "bitter american clinging to their guns and religion were the same crazies at the tea parties.

    when she stated that there were Black and Lationo's there as well. Her article proves that there will always be HOUSE Blacks among us, so no one was surprized by the fact that these two groups were present as well.

    The President NEVER said that he was taking away anyone's guns Ed and you know this ! That is a flat out lie and accusation made every time the Republicans lose an election.  Can you post any excerpt from a speech that the President made that makes this claim ?  No, you can't because it doesn't exist.  I'm really disappointed in you Ed.  I've never been a lockstep Democrat or Republican, however, in light of the ignorance that currently festers in the Republican Party I will never vote for a Republican again until the current Republican base (as small as it is) goes away.  This Party that you gladly disseminate lies and fear for, via email, is really a Party full of hate and fear mongers.  This is McCarthyism in the 21st century !  Stop spreading insanity and fear Ed.  This Party that you advocate is the Party of crazy ass Republicans like Michele Bachmann from Minnesota who incites Americans to arm themselves against the government and Spencer Bachus who recently stated that there are currently 17 socialist in congress, however, when pressed to name the Socialists, the man is unable to name one congress member.  Sounds like bearing false witness to me. The current Republican base has turned into the Dixiecrats of the 1960s. This country is struggling to stand back up after eight years of total mismanagement.  Where were your emails of fear and concern as the last administration sold our country's soul to the Chinese in order to finance a war we can't win militarily ? We sold our country out to the freaking communist Ed !   Where are your emails of disbelief and outrage as Wall Street barons are being exposed as criminals ? This whole approach of inciting fear is pathetic and un-American !  What's really sad is that the leaders at the top of the small Republican base probably aren't even racists; they're mostly ideologues that reek of sour grapes after losing political power.  However, they don't mind planting seeds of hate so that their surrogates who are racists can try to connect to other fools that think like them.  You know what I mean Ed ?  I'm quite sure that you've heard about the comparison between "Curious George" and President Obama on right wing blogging sites !  How many times have you heard the "N" word when describing our nation's President ? The list of racist propaganda goes on and on.  The "Press" that you speak of is the conservative media like Fox News and conservative ideologues like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.  If you are as fair minded as you claim to be, find me one direct and actual quote from President Obama that said that he plans to repeal the 2nd Amendment.  I challenge you.  As a Christian you should stop spreading false witness Ed, it tarnishes your image.  In fact, the small so-called religious Republican base really needs to look in the mirror and see that the hypocrisy of defending the unborn but not saying a word about dropping bombs on innocent children in Iraq and Afghanistan doesn't add up to being "Christ like".   Ed, stop acting like you're only passing on emails without any thought of their repercussions, it insults my intelligence.  Greg

    Hate, hypocrisy and yes, I said it, racism, is alive and kicking in the hallow halls of Arizona State University and Notre Dame. This is part one in a series of two articles that I will write in regard to these two universities that are all but too eager to accept “Jamal” and “Yolanda” as athletes, (it’s all about the Benjamins), but are reluctant in accepting a United States President named Barack Obama.  My first piece is written in regard to the blatant disrespect shown by Arizona State University President Michael Crow towards United States President Barack Obama.                

    I believe that the Huffington Post was the first major news media to break the story that President Barack Obama who is scheduled to be the commencement speaker at ASU this year, would NOT be presented an honorary degree as is the custom for many of ASU’s past commencement speakers.  ASU Media Relations Director Sharon Keeler says, unlike other universities, the processes for selecting commencement speakers and honorary degree recipients are independent. Keeler states that honorary degrees are given "for an achievement of eminence" and that President Obama was not considered for an honorary degree because his body of achievements, at this time, does not fit within that standard.  Evidently Sharon Keeler, ASU President Michael Crow and company are all hypocritical morons who should (in order to save some face for the university) retire.

    Further, I subscribe to the idea that as a way of flexing of our “economic muscle”, our children, relatives and friends should no longer attend Arizona State University as athletes which only lines the pockets of the school each and every time ASU appears in televised games and especially in post season tournaments. Perhaps the lost of money from not having “Jamal” and “Yolanda” playing for their sports programs will rekindle an interest in appreciating the various talents of young Black and Brown student athletes. (Not to mention my Caucasian brothers and sisters who are down with the cause) 

    OK, let’s list some of President Obama’s “achievements of eminence”. (1) President of the United States of America, (2) Leader of the “Free World”, (3) Professor of constitutional law, (4) Community Organizer, (5) State Senator, (6) First Black President of the Harvard Law Review, and oh…(7) The first Black President of the United States of America.

    What was ASU President Crow thinking when he purposely and callously allowed the snubbing of President Obama by denying him an honorary degree from his university? There is a thin line between GOP ideology and racism and it appears that this charlatan of academia (ASU President Crow) was all but too happy to blur the lines in an attempt to justify his insidious beliefs.  Let me make it perfectly clear that I do not believe for one moment, the entire staff of professors and administrators at Arizona State University to be bigots and ideologues of political obstruction.  However, I do believe that ASU President Crow is a representative of “old guard” ASU alumni and state officials who do not respect our current President and his administration.  Because the state of Arizona has an African American population of fewer than 5 percent as opposed to the national average of approximately 12.8 percent, state officials have very little interest in accepting and promoting racial diversity.  This is evident in the state’s resistance of observing MLK day as a National Holiday and it’s recent barring of Arizona public schools from teaching it’s students any subject that may be interpreted as being counter to democracy and Western civilization.  The mastermind behind this racist ideology is Arizona Representative Russell Pearce.  The measure appeared as an amendment to Senate Bill 1108, which originally would have made minor changes to the state’s Homeland Security advisory councils.  By the way, the House Appropriations Committee approved the new proposal on a 9-6 vote.  Additionally, the measure would outlaw students of the state’s universities and community colleges from forming groups based in whole or part on the race of their members, such as the Black Business Students Association at Arizona State University. 

    It appears that state elected officials of Arizona haven’t caught up with the reality that the world has changed in its view of cultural and racial diversity, or perhaps ASU President Crow has acknowledged the change and likens himself to legendary Arizona sheriff Wyatt Earp and like Minnesota’s crazy ass (I had to say it) Representative, Michele Bachmann, is planning on rallying all hired guns for a shoot out at O.K. Corral.

    “The Art of War” is in full effect.

    If you feel as hurt and disturbed as I do, here is an address and telephone number to Arizona State University’s President that you may want to have, just in case you want to send him a letter or drop him a call in regard to your disgust with his university’s pomposity and hypocrisy:

Now, normally, like the Mafia, I lay off the spouses, but inasmuch as this particular spouse attended the same racist church as her hubby for 20 years, I'll make an exception in her case. After all, in spite of the fact that affirmative action got her an Ivy League degree and a $7,000-a-week salary and, moreover, has sent billions of dollars for no particularly good reason to Africa, she insists this is a mean country. The burning question in my circle is: if the First Family gets a female dog, will she be the First Bitch or will she have to settle for second place?

    Get it? Because "bitch" had two meanings!

    Ah, Christian-sponsored humor. That's not just funny. That's Jesus funny.

    Naturally, the left-wing media is now trying to convince us that this James Brown-look-alike has all the allure, glamour and fashion sense of Jackie Kennedy.

    If you read Burt Prelutsky's columns, you'll see that he isn't a racist; he just has a lot of thoughts -- I mean a lot -- about how black people should behave. If Langston Hughes had talked about black people as much at Burt Prelutsky does, someone would have told him to sit down.
