Arts and Eats Festival on the River. Saturday was wonderful day for this festival along the river; we had a few sprinkles before the sun came out but that did not dampen the fun. There was some wonderful artists showing there ware, paintings, pottery, jewelry, baskets and lots more.... Then there was all the scrumpous food...BBQ,, thai,...and did you try the Crepes YUM!!! Then for drinks...this festival offered a variety for adults to drink while browsing the vendors; there was a new wine vendor Urban Decater along with a local Microbrew to add to the basic bottles of beer. The kids even had a spot to enjoy a little creativity.
Following the Luminari ceremony, the participants walk a lap in silence. After a day of music and celebration, the silent stadium was sobering and it was an emotional lap for many people. The only sound was the people shuffling their feet as they walked and a few quiet whispers. This video is a moving tribute to the people being honored, the people being remembered, and the family and friends that miss them.
Vince sang "Unchained Melody" and the crowd loved it. His amazing performance earned him the 2008 Columbia County Idol title, an encore performance at Relay for Life on Saturday plus $100 and 4 hours studio time from Bartholomew Productions. Congratulations, Vince!
Patrick sang an original song and played the guitar. This is Patrick's second performance of an original work giving us a glimpse into his personal life. The judges and the crowd loved his strong performance. Patrick has a termendous road ahead as a musician and writer.
