• Rod in a Cellar?

    Whats this? Taken with my infra-red camera locked in a medium sized Cellar. Even though i have studied the Audio carefully as it passed the camera it made no sound whatsoever. There is only one entrance and this is via an internal staircase and two doors. Its flight path is heading straight towards a wall on the left of the picture.The walls and ceiling are solid brick and there are no animals or birds that use the Cellar and no other access apart from the door. I have filmed all types of animals, birds, and insects with this camera and nothing compares with this. It seems to change shape in each frame and to me it seems to move like a stingray. Any ideas?

• Two rods caught on tape at pla

    This video is from CNN website.  The video is of the site wreckage from the F/A-18D jet that crashed into a home in San Diego near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar December 7th 2008.  There are two Rods caught on tape.  The first is about 3 seconds in that moves from Left to right and then disappears after it passes the cloud of smoke.  The second, which is the better of the two sightings, is about 15 seconds and moves from right to left which clearly shows the "wings" of the Rod and a non straight flight pattern.

    Never tell a bee this, but a bee can't fly. Also refrain from revealing to the dolphin that it is is a clumsy swimmer. Both of these creatures are physically incapable of doing what they do, yet they do it anyway. They use alternate methods to cheat the laws of physics. Bees do it by creating tiny tornadoes above their wings that hold them up. Im not sure how dolphins do it. Rods thin membranes should not be able to carry rods into the air, except perhaps for gliding. they also would be unable to fly in

    That is mostly what they do. They are like the Humming Bird and almost never stop to rest. I wish I could see one not flying or swimming at high speeds.

    Ok Here I go Again. Having viewed many videos of Rods throughout the years it's always looked obvious to me that they're not flying, but in fact swimming through the air. Our atmosphere could in fact be dense enough for this to take place for a life form from another dimension or realty. Flight would require lift and forward propulsion while swimming would be well what they're obviously doing. MAX

    During the Republican National Convention in 2004, I swear I saw a jet-black dragonfy hovering about 10 feet off the ground, precisely in the middle of 7th avenue. About six blocks later, marching toward Madison Sq. Garden, I saw another. Hovering. Motionless but for the wings beating. Dead center of the street, ten feet off the ground. Watching us. In other words, I'm pretty sure smaller and stealthier gadgets are already in use for surveillance. Call me crazy. Developed during the 1970s, the CIA has displayed a mock-up of the micro UAV in its museum at its headquarters in Langley, Virginia since 2003. However until now no media organisation has been given access to the material that proved that the artificial dragonfly had been flight tested. ?. In the 1970s the CIA was interested in the dragonfly concept as a small unmanned surveillance device. Flight cannot reveal exactly what materials have been seen, but can confirm the four-winged robotic insect achieved sustained flight?. The CIA's entomopter dragonfly's power supply and actuation system for its wings are still highly classified subjects. The CIA drone really does look like a real dragonfly ? see the photo to the left. The problem was apparently with the flight control system, as the craft could not cope with crosswinds. This type of problem can be solved much more easily with modern electronics. The big issue with a craft so small is the power supply. Until we can get something as compact and efficient as the biological version (and there already ecobots that power themslves by digesting insects), the answer for robotic insects is likely to be beamed power. There has been a lot of serious work on this already (and let's not talk about Tesla). As long ago as 1964, pioneer Bill Brown demonstrated a mini-helicopter powered by microwaves on the CBS News with Walter Cronkite. The craft was developed under a contract with the Air Force. NASA seem to believe that miocrowaves will be inherently inefficient because of how they spread out with range, and have been working on micro air vehicles remotely powered by laser. But there has been more recent work on microwaves to power UAVs, using the body of the craft as an antenna to pick up power:

• Entomopter Artificial Flying I

    One of the Entomopter Artificial Insect most unusual transportation systems ever envisioned may be the Entomopter, a robotic "artificial insect" that would fly and navigate using two sets of flapping wings powered by a chemically fueled artificial muscle. Under development at the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Entomopter?its name arising from the Greek entomon, "insect," and pteron, "wing"?grew out of a competition to develop palm-sized "microflyers" for such military applications as the exploration of caves, bunkers, and other structures. Building on five years of study and support from agencies including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the concept has since been adapted to a more unusual mission: exploring the planet Mars. Robotic landers, rovers, and orbiting spacecraft have provided intriguing details about certain portions of Mars. Scientists hope to explore more of our neighboring planet using low-altitude flying vehicles, but the thin atmosphere and lack of oxygen on Mars severely limits the capabilities of conventional helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Even to stay airborne in the thin atmosphere, for example, fixed-wing vehicles would have to fly at speeds of more than 250 miles per hour?too fast to land on the rocky terrain for refueling or gathering samples. Researchers at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, Georgia Tech's applied research organization, believe the Entomopter could be ideal for flying on Mars. Its flapping wings would produce enough lift to allow it to take off, fly slowly enough to observe the terrain at an altitude of 100 feet or less, and then land again on a mobile rover for refueling and downloading data. A pair of Entomopters could cross canyons, boulders, and other features that would stop surface-based vehicles. Equipped with video cameras and sensors, the Entomopters could range across the Mars surface, covering far more territory than a wheeled rover could. So far the Mars Entomopter is only a concept, studied with support from NASA's Institute for Advanced Concepts, based in Atlanta. The Entomopter won't be a reality until at least 2010. Researchers have already developed some of the air vehicle's basic systems, including the chemical muscle and a simple altimeter, but much work remains to be done before these giant insects take on the harsh Martian environment. For example, researchers must develop a complete sensing and control system that would allow the Entomopters to detect areas of interest, navigate to them, and gather information or samples without assistance from a human. Researchers must also design systems for changing the direction of flight, most likely relying on venting exhaust from the chemical muscle along the wings.     I could now see it's lengthwise 'fins' sort of 'undulating,' and with that it went through an opening between floors where you could look outside and which ran along that entire floor. Shwoosh! it went, faster than anything I have ever seen, and if I had blinked, I would have missed it's flight process entirely and would have wondered forever where the heck that thing went...and what it was.

    Video Photographer Shoots Apparent UFO A video photographer at a local television station got more than he bargained for when he went to shoot planes taking off at the Albany International Airport on Sunday afternoon. The station employee of WXXA-TV, not only got a video shot of Northwest Airlines Flight 1549 taking off for Detroit, but also shot what appeared to be a UFO streaking across the sky at his Troy-Schenectady Road perch. The object appeared rectangular in shape and flew above the clouds at times at a high rate of speed. After reporting the incident, the Albany County Sheriff's Department and FBI agents converged upon the Albany station to analyze the tape of the object that did not show up on radar. No official determination was released by authorities. --------------------------------- Strange Sighting over Albany Airport A STRANGE SIGHT IN THE SKIES OVER THE CAPITAL REGION - NO ONE KNOWS YET WHAT IS WAS - BUT IT WAS ENOUGH TO HAVE THE FBI SCRAMBLING TO TAKE A LOOK. By Peter Davenport Director, National UFO Reporting Center 10-22-2 Albany, NY Fox TV UFO Case At 07:30 hrs. (Pacific) on Monday morning, October 21, 2002, the National UFO Reporting Center received a telephone call from a television news reporter, Mr. Dan Bazile, with FOX 23 news (a Clear Channel Communication-owned station), who apprised us that one of their photographers had inadvertently captured brief footage of a very bizarre object streaking across the sky near Albany, NY. He described that one of their photographers had been out on Sunday afternoon, October 20th, photographing aircraft at a nearby airport, and that the peculiar object had been detected in the news studio when the footage was being examined at slow speed. From that first telephone conversation, NUFORC was not left with a clear understanding of the nature of the object and its appearance, but Mr. Bazile offered to forward to NUFORC still images from the tape. NUFORC offered to help identify the object, if possible, and to put the station in touch with photo analysts, who might be able to assist in further analysis. In a second conversation with Mr. Bazile on Tuesday morning, October 22, he apprised NUFORC that the original video tape of the object had been forcibly "confiscated" from the "young photographer" by "four FBI agents," from the Albany, NY, FBI offices, a statement which now is in question. (Please see paragraphs below.) Mr. Bazile went on to describe how the agents had invited the photographer outside the station, and that the agents had then "taken" the "original" tape from the photographer, who had it on his person at the time of the meeting with the FBI personnel. When NUFORC suggested that such an act, in the absence of a court warrant, might be illegal, Mr. Bazile averred that he agreed with that assessment. However, he stated that the station still had in its possession several copies of the original tape. When NUFORC asked Mr. Bazile whether FOX 23 was planning to do a news report on the incident with the FBI, he responded that the station was "considering" that possibility, but such a decision was out of his hands. He then stated that in order to answer that question, he would like first to speak with his "supervisor" about the matter, and that he would call back "in a few minutes." After approximately 45 minutes had elapsed, NUFORC telephoned FOX 23 and requested to be put in touch with Mr. Bazile. After a short period of time, he came on the line, but after only a very short conversation he said he would like to put his supervisor, Mr. Dave Brown, Station News Director for FOX 23, on the line. During our 7-minute conversation with Mr. Brown, he stated that a copy of the tape had been provided to the personnel from the FBI by his station voluntarily, because his station "willingly co-operated with members of law enforcement." He added that he personally had provided the video to the FBI, that it had not been "taken" by them, as had been suggested by Mr. Bazile. Mr. Brown stated that he had arrived at work on Sunday evening "at about 8 or 9 o'clock," and that FBI personnel had been photographed in the station while they watched the tape, and that that footage had been aired by the station on Sunday night as a news report. Mr. Brown implied that this fact illustrated that there had been no "mystery" surrounding the FBI's interest in the footage, and that, in his opinion, no impropriety surrounded the transfer of the tape to the FBI personnel. Mr. Brown also added that he did not know whether the original tape had been provided to the FBI, or whether they had received a copy. However, he said that with digital tape, it really did not matter, since very little fidelity was lost in a copied tape. When asked how many representatives from the FBI had been present at the station on Sunday night, he said that he did not know, but there were at least two representatives from that office present. He said there might have been more, but he could not be certain, since "there were so many people present in the station that night." Mr. Brown closed the conversation with the statement that FOX 23 would not be devoting any more news coverage to the footage, suggesting that the story was now old news, and that, in his opinion, it did not warrant any further attention by his station. Following our conversation with Mr. Brown, NUFORC contacted the FBI offices in Albany [(518) 465-7551]. We spoke with Lisa Massaroni, a public affairs spokeswoman, who apprised us that to the best of her knowledge, the FBI office did have a copy of the tape, that their personnel were planning to analyze it, but that she did not know the status of the investigation. She directed us to her supervisor for any further questions, and added that he would be out of his office until October 24th. NUFORC also was contacted by a gentleman from Birmingham, AL, Mr. Brian Huff, a forensic video analyst, who had captured the video from the FOX 23 website, and who has analyzed the tape. We provide elements of his video analysis with this statement. Mr. Huff has stated to NUFORC that, based on his analysis of the footage, the object is genuine, and that it is not a superimposed image. He also stated that the object is on the other side of the clouds, which provides some perspective as to the size of the object, and its velocity, which Mr. Huff concludes is considerable. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Huff for sharing his analysis with NUFORC and Jeff Rense.

    So after seeing a special on TV about Rods, I was intrigued and found this site. I’m interested in what as been discovered but as these Rods seem to elude every one I was wondering if there is any evidence of these Rods aside from camcorder footage, surely there is some High speed camera footage out there. In my opinion if there is a high speed camera it may be possible to capture the true nature of the Rods flight ability as everything so far is at best a scientific guess.

    The cave where Rods footage was shot, if one rappelled down the cave and periodically did a 360 degree survey of the cave wall surely these Rods need to land and take off from some where, one might even capture one of these on the cave wall and when the footage is looked back frame for frame there may be conclusive evidence and a still shot to analyze.

    I will be looking at footage I have shot outside and from now on be looki ng for these Rods in my footage.
