Hey otws no need to appologise i think we all feel the same as you!!!! The lovely chestnut pony which is led off the lorry and put in a stable, i can't seem to get it out of my head since the first time i saw it back when the first video evidence was available to view. It doesn't look as awful as most, but it's the sheer lack of caring where it is, as though it's given up and figures it can't possibly be anywhere worse than it has been!!!!!!!!!  Breaks my heart!!  I really do hope these beautif

    • From: onthewedgeseat
    • Description:

does anyone know whether we can find out if the black horse pictured on the home page made it after the rescue...such a haunted look in it's eyes..i am sorry ,but i would like to see that look in the eyes of the gray family..to see the blatant 'up yours ' attitude of gray junior when being driven away from the hearing leaves me at a loss for words.the horse world, indeed the world stands no chance with youths like him around..thank goodness for the young equine lovers

How disgusting, how dare they compare the welfare value to the price value!!!!!!!!  Does that mean i'm shouldn't be treated as well as someone who has lots of money coz i certainly havent???!!!

I'm damn sure cassie is well worth the amount of care and love she gets even though she didnt cost thousands!!!  It's disgraceful that anyone, especially someone in authority can give a view like that!!!

  • JAMES GRAY TRIAL JUDGE DECISIO

    • From: onthewedgeseat
    • Description:

i am appalled to read on H & H on line that the trial judge has been asked to decide whether the care given to an animal is decided by the value of that animal..i presume then that lluest blackberry ,who bless her didn't cost a penny and is not really ever going to be worth anything in monetary terms ,needn't and isn't deserving of the same care, feed accomodation and respect that rocky is who has a value of some considerable amount..how sick and sad is that ?

This means that mans "abuse" and neglect of animals is subjective to one's own point of view.. In India Cattle are sacred walking Gods. In the USA cattle are served medium rare with mashed potatoes ! ! ! The person who is at the "root" of this evil perpetrated on t

The saddest thing about this particular case is the ‘powers that be’ knew about the situation. However,  it appears not until dead horses were found  - was action taken.

I am not sure I ‘get’ the saying????

  • Animal Abuse by Humans

    • From: Former member
    • Description:

The interesting yet sad fact about any type of animal abuse , is that it has always existed and will continue to do so. The shear owning and confining of many types of animals can be considered a type of abuse . In the caring of any type of animal someone has to be inconvenienced and their needs must take a back seat to the other parties wants and needs . This seems always to be where the animals wants and needs must bow to the will of their care giver. Sometimes this consti
