Sunshine returns rather quickly today, breezes pick up, and our daytime temperature will
average around 60-degrees.
The weekend is looking dry and seasonal, more sunshine on Saturday than Sunday.
A coastal storm approaches on Sunday night, bringing rain, and potential coastal flooding on Monday.
This storm is not expected to linger like the nasty Nor'easter of last week, but with so much destruction
yet to be cleaned up at the shore, most areas are still vulnerable to even moderate tidal flooding.

I've confessed it on TV before: Back in a previous life, I smoked two packs of cigarettes a day. I'm happy to say that I've been smoke-free since 1993.
Boy, it was hard to quit, so I applaud you if you're trying to do so today.

The front passes through overnight, with a few leftover showers possible early Friday morning.

First, The Forecast:
The weather pattern that started on Sunday is still with us today, giving us plenty of
sunshine. Look for a seasonal high of 58-degrees today. That's where we peaked yesterday.
Increasing clouds tonight. We're getting ready for a little bit of rain, coming from a storm
system that has been spinning in the Midwest for several days now.
Rain should arrive after lunchtime on Thursday. It'll mostly be widely scattered showers,
with heavier rain coming early Friday morning.
High pressure builds in again on Friday afternoon, and now, the forecast for the weekend is improving.
Looks like we'll stay dry Saturday and most of Sunday. Rain could arrive from a southern storm
Sunday night into Monday. Stay tuned for the nor'easter potential of that storm....................

But........
First, The Forecast:
The weather pattern that started on Sunday is still with us today, giving us plenty of
sunshine. But the tempertures have been dropping a bit each day, making it feel more like
autumn than it did yesterday.
More sunshine, but a more seasonal high of 56-degrees today.
Clear skies give us a chillier night tonight. And once again, Wednesday will feature seasonal
highs in the fifties.
Next chance of rain is Thursday night into Friday.
And it is worth mentioning here that over the weekend, there's a chance of a southern storm
system moving in, much like the remnants of Ida did last week. We could be setting up a similar
scenario, with rain in the forecast Saturday night into Sunday.

First, The Forecast:
Cloudy, cool, breezy, & rainy today, thanks to the remnants of Ida.
Temps will not get out of the 50s. This pattern could continue through Friday.
We're caught between the remnants of Ida, and a high pressure system that's trying
to build in from Canada. That High has dry air with it, but for today, it looks like Ida
might be winning the battle. And we could be caught in this squeeze-play for a few
more days. Yuk.
The raiu should stop by Saturday afternoon, and the sunshine will be with us again
for the Memory Walk on Sunday.

Join FOX 29 and the Alzheimer's Association as we battle against this terrible disease.
We’ve been teaming up on this effort for almost a decade now, and we still need your
help.
Did you know that Philadelphia is the metropolitan area with the highest
concentration of older persons in the United States?
This means that, by the year 2050, our area could have more than 550,000 people
with Alzheimer's disease!
The Alzheimer's Association provides funds for vital programs and services.
The annual Memory Walks raise awareness of this imminent epidemic and funds
to assist those afflicted, and their caregivers, in the Delaware Valley.
There are two more Memory Walks scheduled, and the FOX 29 Team will be out there

Cloudy, cool, breezy, & rainy today, thanks to the remnants of Ida.
Temps will not get out of the 50s. This pattern could continue through Friday.
We're caught between the remnants of Ida, and a high pressure system that's trying
to build in from Canada. That High has dry air with it, but for today, it looks like Ida
might be winning the battle. And we could be caught in this squeeze-play for a few
more days. Yuk.
The sun should come out on Saturday afternoon, at the latest, and be with us again
for the Memory Walk on Sunday.

After two 70-degree days in a row, who can blame us for wanting more??
Well, mild weather does continue today, but clouds are on the increase with an approaching cold front.
Look for a high around 64-degrees today.
Light rain or showers begin after midnight. So, it's a bit wet for the beginning of Veteran's Day. The sun
should come out in the afternoon.
We will be keeping an eye on the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida. Ida is expected to take an eastward
track, head into the Atlantic Ocean, and try to move up the coast. But high pressure could block that

What a difference a weekend makes!
When we were last together on Friday, we were feeling wind chills in the 20s.
Today, we're coming off of a 70-degree Sunday....
And we're ready for a repeat today, with sunshine and a high of 72.
Tomorrow, increasing clouds, and a high of 65. By Wednesday, it's a bit wet for Veteran's Day, with
occasional showers.
After that we have to keep an eye on what is now Hurricane Ida. Ida is in the Gulf of Mexico now, but
may enter the Atlantic Ocean and have an effect on our weather by the end of the work week.

First, The Forecast:
The sunshine out there is deceiving. We have a cold and blustery day in store. Even with the
sun, it only gets to 50-degrees (Normal high is 58). But with the wind gusting as high as
25 mph, we feel even chillier today.
A nice change for Saturday. High pressure moves offshore, winds come out of the south, and we
get up to 60-degrees with sunshine.
Even milder on Sunday, as the sun takes us to 66-degrees.
Eagles:
For the game against the Cowboys on Sunday night, we'll be coming off that 66-degree high,
so expect a nice night at the Linc. Kickoff temperature is 58-degrees.

A sad morning, since we were hoping to have another World Series game forecast for you. But the ride was so much fun, Phillies. Thanks for a great season!
First, The Forecast:
Another chilly start today, but plenty of sunshine to start. Increasing clouds this afternoon, and a few scattered showers. High today, just like yesterday, is 54-degrees.
After the showers fade this evening, the wind picks up as cold air moves in. Gusts could be as high as 30 mph or more.
Tomorrow, it's a blustery and cold Friday, with a high of only 48-degrees. Again, it'll be windy, with gusts of 25-30 mph.

to be this time of year.

World Series Forecast:
Phillies vs. Yankees at 8:00 pm tonight in the Bronx: Chilly and dry,
45-degrees for the first pitch. Temps fall through the thirties during the game.
If a Game 7 is necessary, and we certainly hope it will be, the weather could be
interesting. Rain is in our forecast....New York could see a few snowflakes mixed
in at night.

It's shaping up to be another rainy day, thanks to another storm. And yes, there is also rain in the forecast for New York. Tonight is the night: Game One of the World Series between the Phillies and those damn Yankees.
The call right now is for the rain to be in the process of tapering off around gametime, which is
at 8 p.m. Light rain and drizzle continues through the rest of the game.
Dry weather is back for the rest of the work week.

First, The Forecast:
A Carolina storm decided to move up the coast today, and we're left with a rainy
morning. That rain should taper off throughout the afternoon, with a few leftover showers
and sprinkles this afternoon. The high doesn't make it out of the 50s today.
Wednesday is also shaping up to be a rainy day, thanks to another storm. And yes, there
is also rain in the forecast for New York. And Wednesday night is Game One of
the World Series between the Phillies and those Yankees.
The call right now is for the rain to be in the process of tapering off around gametime, which is
at 8 p.m.
Dry weather is back for the rest of the work week.
The early call on Halloween (which is also the first home game of the Series):
Cloudy skies, a chance of showers, and a temperatures near 70-degrees. The early call is for that rain
will to taper off just in time for the game, and for Trick or Treating, too.
