The Eastern Front is going to achieve what so many RTS players have been yearning for so many years: The integration of the Soviet Union into Company of Heroes.
First of all, do not worry. EF is not going to harm your normal CoH in any way, you can still play it normally. Also, it does not overwrite any of the exisiting factions. It will add the new factions, and you can still play with the old ones as well.
Our goal is the integration of the Red Army and the Ostheer into CoH. Complete with new models, skins, sounds, buildings, tech trees and maps.
We have already come a long, difficult way. Modding CoH is not easy. But we have an ambitious team of crack modders and we have taken all the hurdles. And now, two and a half years after our very first idea for this mod, we are close to making our initial release.

I just opened the box on Dragon age and I got the game up and running. Looks like my Company of Heroes Tales of Valor addiction is going to be taking a backseat to Dragon Age for a while. The game is playing just like an MMO RPG with the exception that you control all the players in your party. You’re allowed to queue up one command per character and then unpause the game in combat. The game graphics are as good as Mass Effect and there is a lot of blood. I see a lot of similarity between Mass Effect and Dragon Age so far in game play and that is a good thing. Is it a must buy? If you’re into RPG’s you’re going to enjoy it for sure. I have only scratched the surface of the game so I will let you know how it goes.
Issue 15: Anniversary allows City of Heroes to come to life with more in-depth gameplay experiences and storytelling options as it marks the revival of The 5th Column, the most popular villain group, through 10 new action-packed missions. Players will participate in a Hero Task Force or a Villain Strike Force, in order to uncover the mystery behind this long dormant foe. Along with the new missions, players can now customize their characters with more than 20 extra character faces, Vines and Ulterior themed costume sets and several new costume change emotes - visual animations that come to life when characters transition between costumes within the game.
Additionally, Issue 15: Anniversary introduces players to new mission creation enhancements, testing tools and navigation services as part of the recently launched Mission Architect system. These features allow players to more easily create and polish their own unique custom content before sharing it with the public, and help streamline the process of searching through user-generated missions. Since the release of City of Heroes’ Mission Architect system, two months ago, users have developed and published more than 200,000 stories for the community to enjoy.
For Issue 15, there are two new costume sets available to everyone, created by the newest addition to our character artist team, Cheryl Austin. “Vines” is a new pattern while “Ulterior” is a new texture set, both of which work with most of the existing costume pieces. Cheryl has also created over twenty new face textures, something we haven’t done since City of Villains launched. While our options for individual costume pieces and sets have continued to expand over the years, our selection of faces hasn’t received the same amount of attention. Her goal was to create a set of new face textures that were a bit more subtle and realistic and while also working well across our full range skin tones.
There are also a number of new costume change emotes in this update. As many of our players will remember, costume change emotes were something we introduced in the Magic Super Booster Pack. One of our goals with the Booster Packs has been to leverage them into adding things to City of Heroes that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to include in a regular update. For the Magic Super Booster Pack, we were able to push for the programming support to do something that we’ve wanted to do for a long time: costume change emotes. Now that the technology is in place, Issue 15 is our first opportunity to provide a number of more universally themed costume change emotes as part of a regular content update for all of our players. It’s our goal that everyone, even those who didn’t purchase the Magic Super Booster Pack, will benefit from the extra time and resources that we’ve devoted to creating these booster packs.
While all of these added customization options are part of the immediate content going into Issue 15, it’s really only a sampling of a much larger picture – as hinted by the recent announcement of the Going Rogue expansion. Our players can expect to hear some very exciting news about the new, much larger systems we’ve been working on to support and expand the customization aspect of City of Heroes within the next few months.
City of Heroes has hit the five year mark and is announcing the next installment that is now in development. With the upcoming Issue 15: Anniversary, Paragon Studios brings fans a host of new features and content that include more options and more usability for the Mission Architect game system. From new mission options for both Villains and Heroes, to new costumes and faces, Issue 15: Anniversary further builds on the innovation and customization of the Mission Architect tool.
I have been real busy with work and I finished the Tiger Ace Campaign on the Company of Heroes Tales of Valor. It was short but worth it. Direct Fire is worth buying the expansion. I can replay it in versus mode. That should be fun if anyone wants to play.
My theory about 2012 is unprovable as this is the best picture of Jupiter right now. I was theorizing that if there will be a polar shift in 2012 we would see it coming in the gas giants cloud patterns. The sun has been at solar minimum for as long as I have been researching it.
I also just found out about Planets X and I think that is wish full thinking. If there were a planet X we should have a picture of it buy now.
I preordered Company of Heroes Tales of Valor and should get it on the 8th of April. It's funny but the last two games i have purchased are from THQ. I guess they are on the money now a days. I don't know much about CoH ToV other than its the newest expansion for one of the best RTS games ever made. That is enough for me.
