Sandwiches bored me so my mum became very creative with my packed lunches, buying extra wide thermos flasks so that I could fit in varied meals such as meatballs and pasta meals. But as a scruffy schoolboy travelling to school every day on the London Underground my main problem was keeping the thermos flasks undamaged and finally too many days went by where I would come home and rattle my thermos to the sound of breaking glass.
So it was back to boring sandwiches, which sometimes would get forgotte
When I was a 6th former, money was not plentiful, so applied succesfully for a Saturday job at Debenhams. I worked in the menswear department and of course those were the days before customers served themselves, so my role was to assist customers, though I'm sure they didn't need assistance! I received absolutely no training and no induction. The pay was a miserable £2.30 a day. I can honestly say that I have never been so bored in my life. My grandson can't wait to get back to school!! He will go from 'Reception' to 'Year 1' and is so excited. He has been a bit bored but we have done a lot of things.
Today my room is clutterd with glue, paint, loo roll tubes etc...we have made subamarines under the sea to flowers for his mum.
I will miss him though when he goes back to school. I do love the babysitting PART!!
a little about me,i am 62yrs of age i have had emphysema for about 7yrs now,i don't work any more because of it i live on my own but have a daughter of 34 and 5 grandchildren but really because of my condition i get very depressed some times and very bored in away you could say i am fed up with life,some times i wish god would take me so i can be with my mum again,i am new to this site so maybe a few friends is what i need.
