Hempfling - QUEIJO's First Dan
- From: voicesforhorses
-
Description:Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling has been training the lusitano stallion Queijo for about 4 weeks! The video shows how he moved when he came to Klaus and how elegant, collected, proud and beautiful he has become after just 20 training sessions of 10-20 minutes. Complete relaxation and loosening up is the first important thing in the work and everything is build up on trust, liberty and understanding. Klaus' training supports and develops the natural balance and the horse is always worked from behind towards the front -- encouraging it to collect and carry itself on the hindquarters. The training sessions are short, to be sure the horse participates with joy and is eagerly waiting for the next session. All exercises are soft and always adapted to exactly this moment and in between there is lots of playing, long walks in the nature and just enjoying beeing together. But please remember: First dominance and trust -- then play! In the book 'Dancing With Horses' you can find all this described in details. In September 2008 you can experience Klaus working with Queijo, since he will return to the school-farm on Lyø - Denmark for further traning during the seminars in the September Block Course System. For further information please see: www.hempfling.com You can see more lunging work from Klaus with his stallion Yunque in the video "Art of Lunging" on our channel or in the video "Hempfling - Dancing with Yunque" on the channel LiveLB. The following text is from the web-site www.hempfling.com: Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling, with his professional background in communications has shaken up the international horse world. He is at the forefront of new ideas on working and interacting with horses. The basis of his work is consideration for the horse's psyche, communication via a body language that is understood by the horse and interaction with these powerful, beautiful, dignified creatures in accordance with nature. The development of the rider's "presence" and an orientation to holistic principles is integral to this work. Klaus' first book, "Dancing with Horses" (translated into more than 10 languages), met with overwhelming international success; thousands of spectators have witnessed a way of interacting with horses that made the horses the teachers, the bearers of mysteries, whose proximity could transform human lives. Klaus has the ability to "know" a horse within a few seconds and within a few minutes of the first meeting, he establishes a relationship so firmly that anything after that is completely based on trust. In his Borderline Demonstrations he transforms dangerous, nervous, traumatized, any kind of horse into cooperative companions. They recognize him as their leader, and become willing partners in groundwork and under saddle.

Hempfling - Art of Riding
- From: voicesforhorses
-
Description:You will find Hempflings way described in the books 'Dancing with Horses' and 'What Horses Reveal'. He says that he never practises dressage, even when he rides on a highly collected level, because all the exercises we can see in dressage are originally movements of the free horse executed in nature. Klaus is in his way creating the platform, so that the horse is enabled to develop even difficult exercises in its own rhythm and extend. Hempfling Recognize Your Horse
- From: voicesforhorses
-
Description:How well do you know your own horse; can you really say he reveals all of himself to you? At the heart of the work of Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling is the precise recognition of a horse's nature in only a few seconds, followed by his transformation within minutes of the first encounter. In order to make this transperant, he created his unique system of horse characterization with its 26 individual characters. In this system it is all about the 'outer and inner' characteristics of the horse and its behaviour. It is about the fundamental understanding of the horse's nature, about coming together and communication. In Klaus' book 'What Horses reveal' (J.A.Allen, UK/Trafalgar Square, USA) you may find a detailed description of all the 26 characters and the related working strategies. You may also find further information about the issue on his web-site: www.hempfling.com. If you would like to know which characters are represented in your horse, Klaus offers Horsecharacterization by phone.

Hempfling - his powerful, gent
- From: voicesforhorses
-
Description:To see more about the further lunging and leading please see the video 'Hempfling - Borderline March 2008' where Klaus works with another very aggressive stallion, and also the videos 'Hempfling dancing with horses' and 'The Art of Lunging'. Klaus was only working one day at the military stud. With this horse he only had the possibility to work without any preparation in a riding arena, so everything that has been achieved with this stallion, even in front of a mare in season, is a result of personality and body language. Spain to Italy: Horses driven
- From: voicesforhorses
-
Description:In transit, horses must continually shift their weight to maintain balance. A journey of 36--46 hours is the equivalent of being forced to walk for nearly two days without rest. Thousands of horses are transported live from Spain and eastern Europe to southern Italy for slaughter every year, a journey of 36--46 hours. The horses are denied adequate rest, food and water throughout the journey, breaking European Union regulations designed to protect them. The animals are constantly distressed by the overcrowding and are subjected to roasting temperatures that often exceed 40 degrees centigrade. The conditions result in extreme stress for these sensitive animals during their final hours. The long journey to slaughter is unnecessarily cruel. Horses suffer this for one reason: if slaughtered in Italy, their meat can be misleadingly marketed to consumers as being of 'traditional Italian' origin. European nations should enforce the EU rules on live animal transport to support the existing humane trade - chilled or frozen meat already makes up a significant part of the Italian horsemeat market.
