After the pillow fight, we caught this cool shot. When we organized the shoot, we assumed the feathers would just blow away...but they didn't. I wish I could see the owner of the field's face when he discovered the pile of white feathers laying in the grass- was albino Big Bird mauled?
We had some down time at this wedding, so we grabbed the mini bride and groom for a fun shoot in the kitchen. Pots, Pans, and Fans- made for adorable pictures.
This shot was inspired from a Children's Place ad, believe it or not. We saw a picture from them that had an old beat up truck with kids legs and shoes hanging out every angle..... we just tweaked it.
ok, my wife set up this shot. We always want to get at least one shot that could go in a magazine from each shoot. The sprinklers came on right after this was taken...
This engagement was shot on the campus of LSU. If you look closely, you can see the LSU bell tower in the reflection of the door. I don't think many people notice that for some reason...
We always love to have fun with our clients. When Heather put the bride on the dining room table, I told her to look at the camera, pretend I was her fiance, and say "I'm what's for breakfast..." We all got a kick out this shot.
Ironically, this has become one of my favorite shots. At the time, I shot 3 frames at the location- then moved on- I wasn't feeling it. You just never know...
Welcome to DBUI (Don't Box Us In), a community for visual artists. This community will focus only on the finished product (what the client sees). At this point, we won't be discussing topics such as marketing, branding, pricing, or any other business related issues. There are numerous forums around that offer great advice on these topics. We want to focus on keeping you inspired and feeding your creativity. Through your involvement, you can return the favor to other members.
So get involved, post your work- and tell us about it (what inspired it or how it was created). Be open for critique as well as praise. That's the only way we can get out of our creative ruts. After all, our clients don't live in a box- why should we?
