Traveling to Walla Walla last Wednesday as we pulled into Central Ferry these two rainbows were absolutely glowing. One of the brightest rainbows I've ever seen. Actually saw the end of the rainbow, and as we drove up out of the river actually chased the rainbow's end along the road. Unfortunately I don't have a wide enough angled lens so as to have captured the entire rainbow.

Nite Glow, where the balloons don't fly but do light up like giant luminaries. The balloon in the foreground is the one I crew on but with an envelope (the part that holds the air) that is a part of Balloon Stampede history. All balloons are named, this one is the Columbia, the first balloon owned by Bill Lloyd, one of the 4 originators of the Stampede in Walla Walla 35 years ago. It is not flyable these days, but does look nice for the nite glow.
One of my favorite shots, because I have to be in the air to get it. Sunday morning flight was my turn to go, this is a shot looking SE across Walla Walla from near the airport. You can see about half the balloons that showed up for the weekend, beautiful weather all weekend long made for a very successful event and several flights.
Taken Saturday morning at the 35th Annual Wala Walla Balloon Stampede, the balloon lifting off is Brian's Song II piloted by Scott Shields, originally from W2 now living in Bellingham. The colors and sites are abslutely phenomenal at these balloon launches.

Thunderstorm in Davenport on May 6, 2009 around 8:20 pm. Not sure if this is a funnel cloud or not, but we watched it form and then retreat back into the clouds. Very cool! This picture is looking west towards Davenport when the storm seemed to be directly above the town!
