    Dear Mr. Joyner, First of all, Mr. Joyner, I still dearly love and respect you. But again, I have a problem that needs to be addressed by you ASAP: The last time I sent you a question/remark about D. L. Hugley's TV program being canceled, you responded right away. Now that I have written to you about your own "shortcomings" in reference to the Inauguration DAY 2009 website, I get no response at all. This is quite disturbing. Did you not receive it? Do I need to send it again? I do need to hear something from you. In addition, I published the letter on my page of the website so others who are active will know about this initiative. We all need to hear something concrete from you. I realize that you are an extremely hard working man in all that you do -- which is considerable – but it is precisely why we appeal to you for your continued support. Moreover, we believe the site is well worth it. In respect to the detractors you received on the show from the failure of Black voters to participate in the state and local elections yesterday, I did not really blame you as others did -- how could we? But it was nevertheless a reality to observe that you did not bring the strength of your usual impetus to bear upon this election as you did for the presidential one as well as other concerns. Now we can't ignore that fact. You did not send your staff all over the country, as you normally do for these things, etc. But we can still only blame ourselves for our failure to come out in numbers to continue to effect change by participating in the voting process. In fact, to tell you the truth, I myself was so uninterested in the local elections that I did not actually keep up with it, and it was only because of your show’s commentary that I eventually forced myself and get out and vote before the polls closed. But I could only vote for two main positions of my interest because I had no information on the other two, so my vote only “half counted” in a way, and I felt rather ashamed of myself. So you see I do relate to the people who did not go out to vote or thought it was not important at this stage of the game. We just thought that things would take care of themselves. But we were wrong -- AGAIN! Yesterday was INDEED a wake-up call for all of us. But also for you, Tom Joyner. Unfortunately, I have to say that for all of your worth and work, it seems that WE STILL NEED YOU to urge and prompt us to do what we need to do. We have to take our LEADERS wherever we can get them these days, and it appears we have to rely on them until we become leaders ourselves. So please don’t give up on us. We can and still be moved to do the right thing when the time comes – I hope. But often we seem to wait until the last minute to do it. But if you had kept up the interest of the website INAUGURATION DAY 2009 -- or even changed its name to include continual diligence and vigilance on the political forefront, we as a group might have been able to speak out and help in so many ways. PLEASE RESPOND TO MY APPEAL TO YOU FOR CONTINUED SUPPORT. So until I receive a response from you, I believe I shall resend the former message at least once a week until you do. Please understand my concern. And thank you once again.

    Open Letter to Tom Joyner:

           First of all, Mr. Joyner, I cannot contact you without first expressing my exceedingly high regard for you and all that you do, especially pertaining to your excellent support of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Voting Rights and Responsibilities, and Family Health Care promotion -- to mention a few.  It is especially because of this high esteem that it is somewhat difficult to utilze this opportunity to “take you to task” about a matter you have not only overlooked these past months, but have actually become grossly negligent for quite some time. The “bone of contention” that we must “machinate” upon is your neglectful ownership of a website called “Inauguration Day 2009.” Tom, this is one time you started something that you have not finished. That is so unlike you. Your “Inauguration Day 2009” site serves as an excellent opportunity to promote social and political responsibility from your listeners. Through it you have attracted and inspired a small, diverse, capable, talented, noteworthy, verbal group of followers – some of whom have still managed to maintain communications on the site by addressing many of the important public issues of our times. I don’t know why they have chosen to hang on, but they have; and it may be for a purpose greater than you even realize just now. It is simply incredulous that you have allowed this significant opportunity to go to waste.

           Tom, you are so savvy, that it is quite a wonder that you have not realized this yet. “Inauguration Day 2009” is an untapped resource that could be mobilized at your fingertips for helping to move and persuade public opinion, but you have chosen not to use it. You seem much more interested in the hottest new craze of text-messaging limited-content notes, rather than encouraging serious, in-depth discussion of issues that can “put the world’s mess to the test.” I have sent you a “Friend Request” that has lain dormant for nearly a year now. J. Anthony Brown and Sherryl Underwood are no better, because they have abandoned the site like their leader. And the usually astute Sybil Wilkes has not even chosen to create a page.  Why is that?  None of you has even been on the site for nearly a year. This is very frustrating. If the creator of the site shows no interest and concern, then the membership becomes truly uninspired, unresponsive, and thus most are inactive. Yet, somehow, a few newcomers appear about each month or so.  So I have decided to begin welcoming them for YOU.  I could have seen this site become a rallying point of writers, journalists, and thinkers, as well as anyone else in cultivating responses and actions that were sorely needed during the Congressional hearings this summer and elsewhere. We longed for a glimpse at other thoughts than those that screamed and screeched out at us over the media. And undoubtedly there are more scintillating times yet to come. With the publication of this Open Letter on my page of your site, as well as more directly in your contact point on Black America Web, I am hoping for a valid response. I must tell you in all candor, I expect no less than the best from you. That’s what you have given to the world so many times over – you can’t stop now.

           In the meantime, I am going to try my best to encourage a little mobilizing on my own from those who are still thriving. But the effort would be so much more appealing coming from you. Finally, please explain the meaning of the site name. It may inspire more tenacity from more people. You are one of the cleverest businessmen we have encountered; surely you can find the means to make this site soar. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration of this request.

     

    P.S.  Most sites allow users to add photos.  Yours does not allow us to do that.  So you obviously intended for this to be solely a talk site.  But come on, Tom, at least let us add graphics or something to increase the interest on this site for those that come on but are not "writers or talkers" yet.  Give us something more to peak our interest.  Please talk with your site designers about that.  We need a few moe perks, I believe.  Too many join and are never heard from again.

• Should America Fear Muslims an

    This particular article is not the article that I intended to submit for today’s readers, however, after receiving a disturbing email this morning from a man that I’ve called friend for over two decades and who I personally believe has morphed into a caricature of hate and fear that is reflective of much of the confusion and anger that we see on television and hear on radio in America today, well…again I am compelled to respond in the form of commentary that I hope will promote thought and civil discourse which will prevent that metaphorical “powder keg” from exploding across small towns and big cities in the United States.
     
    This is what the email stated: 
     
    “I feel better now; we need to keep those crazy Christians in check, right?”
     
    “America has finally lost it”.....
     
    “Repeat after me”....
     
    Obama is not a Muslim, Obama is not a Muslim, Obama is not a Muslim,
     
    Obama is not a Muslim, Obama is not a Muslim…
     
    In order to keep my friend’s email in proper context I should explain that embedded in his email is a link islamoncapitolhill.com/Home_Page.html that connects to a website that I assume was created by a pro American Muslim organization. The website announces a planned day of Muslim prayer which is scheduled to be held at the U.S. Capital on September 25, 2009. Upon connection to the link, in addition to what is written, one will hear what appears to be a prayer in Arabic, which to some Americans who are unfamiliar with the Arabic language, may sound sinister and threatening. This is the gist of the website's opening statement:
     
    “The objective of this gathering is to invite the Muslim communities and friends of Islam to express and illustrate the wonderful diversity of Islam. We intend to manifest Islam’s majestic spiritual principals as revealed by Allah to our beloved prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) of Arabia. Likewise, we intend to inspire a new generation of Muslim to work for the greater good of all people, regardless of race, religion or national origin”.
     
    In addition to the proclamation of a day of prayer made in the narrative, the website also gives an itinerary of planned events for that particular day. Motivated to carefully review the website after reading the false allegation that President Obama is a Muslim, I thoroughly searched but could not find any endorsement of this planned event by the President or any of his cabinet members. 
     
    As a professed Christian, I personally do not feel threatened by this event, nor would I feel threatened by any other religious organization / faith that planned to have a peaceful rally at our nation’s Capital. However, for individuals whose agenda includes emasculating the President and disseminating seeds of fear and hate, this is another opportunity to prey on Americans that may not be fortunate enough to be able to separate fact from fiction. I’m not a soothsayer, however; as debate on national health care reform reaches a boiling point, I understand and can envision how tactics of spreading misinformation and fear about President Obama can distract the average American from staying focused on an issue that will ultimately affect tens of millions of fellow Americans who are concerned about not having sufficient health care coverage.
       
    In regard to the email that I received this morning, President Obama has empathically stated that he is a Christian. I find it hypocritical and disingenuous that former President Bush was not accused of being a Muslim when he held an Iftar dinner (refers to the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan) at the White House during his Presidency. www.wrmea.com/archives/janfeb2002/0201082.html  The million dollar question is, why is Obama being accused of being a Muslim and Bush, in light of officially honoring the Muslim holiday of Ramadan, when he served as the President of the United States, hasn't? An image of Jack Nicholson’s performance as the defiant Colonel in the movie, “A Few Good Men” comes to mind when Mr. Nicholson proclaimed to a relentless Tom Cruise, “You can’t handle the truth”. Inquiring minds want to know what you think about the planned Muslim event at the Nation’s Capital which is scheduled on September 25, 2009. 
     
    Is this event something that Americans should fear? Or is the rally being used as fodder for opponents of the President who rely on “misinformation” as means to boost their own agenda and negatively manipulate the minds of Americans who are forced to deal with near record unemployment and an uncertain future?  As I write this commentary there is no doubt in my mind that my friend’s email will be sent to untold numbers of fellow Americans who may become confused as to what to believe. In lieu of some American factions portraying most Muslims as the “Boogie Man” and with an ever increasing effort on their part to associate President Obama as being an undercover Muslim, does my friend’s particular brand of propaganda instigate violence against the President and his family?

    Alan David Berlin, He is an aide for Senator Jane Orie of Pennsylvania. He is also a furry who contacted a fifteen year old boy over the internet, and offered to "yiff" the boy in a panda outfit, while his parents weren't home. The parents discovered the graphic emails on the boy's computer and called the attorney general's child predator unit sometime in May. Police raided his home and discovered various furry outfits such as a wolf costume, as well as a cat outfit; all complete with two holes cut out at the undersides of the costumes. He is now arraigned in Dauphin County jail on a $250,000 bail.[8][9][10][11]

    Michael Duvall, California state Representative in September 2009:

    2008

    Bruce Barclay, former Cumberland County commissioner, videotaped hundreds of sexual encounters — many with male escorts — using cameras hidden throughout his Monroe Township home.[16]

    Matthew Joseph Elliott, former aide to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was convicted of sexual exploitation of a child.[17]

    Vito Fossella, the only Republican member of Congress from New York City, admitted to police to having a child out-of-wedlock when stopped for drunk driving.[18]

    Robert McKee, Republican delegate from Western Maryland, announced his resignation after authorities seized two computers, videotapes and printed materials from his Hagerstown home in a child pornography investigation. McKee also resigned his position as executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County.[19]

    Daniel Dean Thompson, 31, a Utah retailer of "family-friendly" tapes and DVDs (Hollywood films with the "dirty parts" removed), arrested and booked into the Utah County jail on charges of sexual abuse and unlawful sexual activity with a 14-year-old.[20]

    Derek Walker, former Eagle Scout and candidate seeking the GOP nomination in a race for north-central Pennsylvania district, was charged with felony burglary and criminal trespass stemming from an encounter last year with an ex-girlfriend, during which he allegedly broke into her home and used his cell phone to videotape her engaged in an intimate moment with another man.[21]

    2007

    Robert "Bob" Allen, Florida state Rep. arrested in the afternoon at a Veteran's Memorial Park for solicitation of prostitution from an undercover male officer inside a restroom. According to the papers, Bob "offer[ed] to perform oral sex for $20". Bob later claimed that his offer had something to do with his being afraid of black people.[22]

    John David Roy Atchison, Republican prosecutor, was arrested for soliciting sex from a 5-year old girl, then killed himself three weeks later. At the time of his arrest, Atchison was an "assistant U.S. attorney" appointed by President Bush's attorney general.[23]

    E. Ozwald Balfour, chairman of the Utah Republican Black Assembly and elected to the Republican State Central Committee in 2007, even though he was awaiting trial on four felony counts of forcible sex abuse dating back to his arrest in February, 2005.[24]

    John Bryan, Republican city councilman, killed himself after police began investigating allegations that he had molested three girls, including two of his adopted daughters, ages 12 and 15.[25]

    Larry Craig, Republican Senator for Idaho, was arrested on July 11, 2007, by plainclothes police officer investigating complaints of lewd behavior in a Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport airport men's room. On August 8 in Hennepin County Municipal Court in Bloomington, Minnesota, Craig entered a guilty plea and paid a $500 fine.[26]. On September 1st, Craig subsequently announced his retirement from the Senate[27]. Five days later, Craig changed his mind, renounced his retirement and began a battle to have his guilty plea overturned.[28] Craig supported the Federal Marriage Amendment, which barred extension of rights to same-sex couples; he voted for cloture on the amendment in both 2004 and 2006, and was a cosponsor in 2008. However, in late 2006 he appeared to endorse the right of individual states to create same-sex civil unions, but said he would vote "yes" on an Idaho constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriages when pressured to clarify his position by the anti-gay rights advocacy group Families for a Better Idaho. Craig voted against cloture in 2002, which would have extended the federal definition of hate crimes to cover sexual orientation.[29]

    John R. Curtin, Monroe County state Republican committeeman, was convicted of molesting an underage teenage boy and sentenced to serve six to 18 months in prison.[30]

    Richard Curtis, Washington State Rep., resigned from the House after reports of his sexual encounter with a male escort became public.[31] Curtis has an anti-gay rights voting record. He voted against domestic partnerships for gays and opposed a bill prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation.[32]

    Donald Fleischman, Brown County, WI, Republican Party Chairman, resigned his post after he was charged with two counts of child enticement, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child and a single charge of exposing himself to a child.[33]

    Larry Dale Floyd, Republican Constable in Denton County, Texas Precinct Two. Arrested for allegedly crossing state lines to have sex with an 8-year old child and was charged with 7 related offenses. Age 62 at time of arrest.[34]

    Ted Klaudt, former South Dakota State Rep., found guilty of four counts of second-degree rape of two teenage foster daughters.[35][36]

    Ronald C. Kline, Republican Judge in Orange County, CA, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography on his home computer after six years of legal wrangling. In 2002, charged with child molestation and under house arrest on federal charges of possessing child pornography, political analysts still gave him a 50-50 chance of winning the March 5 primary for the Orange County Superior Court seat. He lost the election to a write-in candidate.

    Joseph M. McDade, 75, was issued a summons on a charge of exposure of sexual organs, a misdemeanor that carries up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. The longtime Pennsylvania Republican congressman who served for 36 years in the House and now works for a Washington lobbying firm, has been accused of exposing his private parts to two women at a beach resort on Sanibel Island. [37]

    Patrick Lee McGuire, former former Flagler County Commissioner, surrendered to police after allegedly molesting girls between the ages of 8 and 13.[38]

    Jon Matthews, Republican talk show host in Houston, was indicted for indecency with a child, including exposing his genitals to a girl under the age of 17.[39]

    Joseph Monteleone Jr., Elyria city councilman, was found guilty of fondling underage girls and asking them to have sex with him.[40]

    Glenn Murphy Jr., chairman of the Clark County Republican Party and president of the Young Republican National Federation, resigned both posts, after the Clark County Sheriff’s Department began investigating Murphy for alleged criminal deviate conduct. A 22-year-old man claimed that Murphy performed an unwanted sex act on him while the man slept in a relative’s Jeffersonville home. During the investigation, a similar accusation from 1998 came to light.[41]

    Armando Tebano, Schenectady County Republican Chairman, pleaded guilty to fondling a 14-year-old girl.[42]

    David Vitter, junior Senator from Louisiana, became one of the few high-profile politicians to be implicated as a client of "D.C. Madam" Deborah Jeane Palfrey.[43]

    2006

    Steve Aiken, campaign manager for a Republican candidate for Congress in Arizona, former Quakertown, PA, police officer and self-proclaimed reverend, was convicted of having sex with two underage girls.[44]

    Louis Beres, chairman of the Christian Coalition of Oregon. 3 of his family members accuse him of molesting them when they were pre-teens. In August 06, Beres confessed.[45]

    Howard L. Brooks, Republican legislative aide and adviser to a California assemblyman, was charged with molesting a 12-year old boy and possession of child pornography. [46]

    Randall Casseday, Washington Times newspaper executive, pleaded guilty to soliciting sex from a 13-year old girl on the internet.[47]

    Larry Corrigan, Republican operative and Director of Operations and Budget at King County Prosecutor's Office, OR, was arrested for soliciting sex from 13-year old girls.[48]

    Carey Lee Cramer Political consultant and anti-Kerry ad producer, tried for molesting two young girls, one of whom lived with him, and was 8 yrs old; the other starred in an anti-Kerry commercial. Diary [49]

    Mark Foley, Republican Representative, Florida Sixteenth Congressional District. Resigned after trying to solicit sex from male congressional pages via an instant messenger program. The conversations included his asking a sixteen-year-old "stud" whether his penis was erect and requesting that he take out and measure his penis. The cover-up involved Republican House Majority Leader John Boehner, Ohio Eighth Congressional District and Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert, Illinois Fourteenth District.[50]

    Jim Gibbons, then US Rep. and Republican candidate for governor, was accused by a Las Vegas casino cocktail waitress of grabbing her, shoving her against a wall and threatening her after she rebuffed his advances.[51][52] Since elected Governor, Gibbons is under investigation by the FBI on corruption charges and is embroiled in what looks set to become a very messy divorce.[53]

    Ted Haggard, was fired as pastor of the New Life Church and resigned from his position as president of the National Association of Evangelicals in November 2006 after a former male prostitute alleged they had a cash-for-sex relationship. The man also said he saw Haggard use methamphetamine. Haggard confessed to undisclosed “sexual immorality” and said he bought meth but didn’t use it.[54] After the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive counseling, overseen by four ministers. In Feb 2007, one of those ministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual." As of early 2009, Haggard continues to receive counseling, and now he says that he is a “heterosexual with issues”. [55]

    Don Haidl, Assistant Sheriff of Orange Country, in violation of California's rape shield law, led a smear campaign against the child his son poisoned and then violently gang-raped on videotape, adding up to 24 felony counts. He said that his son "acted accordingly" because the child was a "slut".[56][57]

    Jeffrey Ray Nielsen, Christian conservative activist and lawyer with close ties to Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and Scott Baugh, head of the Orange County Republican Party, was arrested for having sex with a 14-year old boy.[58]

    Jeffrey Patti, local Republican Committee chairman from Sparta, NJ, was arrested for distributing what experts call "some of the most offensive material in the child pornography world" - a video clip of a 5-year-old girl being raped.[59]

    Brent Schepp, Republican County Board Candidate was charged with molesting a 14-year old girl and killed himself three days later.[60]

     

    J.C. Watts, Representative (R-Oklahoma), loud champion of "moral values." Has out-of-wedlock children.

    This is the Family Values Party. The Catholic Church and The Republican have a fondness for Kinky, and Homosexual sex while condeming everyone esle. Some odeous people were ranting, crying, and shouting they would be removing their children from school -- which is always their right. Cacausian Presidents -- many before this African-American President == have spoken to America's students without fury. African-American's never have accused them of intended racism, nor socialism; so why are Cacausian's accusing this president of socialism and worse:  politicism. Not one of them has been &quot;forced&quot; to display their entire speech in the press to convince the public that what they are saying is only words of encouragement. No fairly elected American President should have to go through that. But I commend our President that he has the humility to go on and do so to quell the evil-nature of the beast we are being confronted with.  The rouse that a lesson plan that asks students to write how they would help the President is malicious.  As a former teacher who assigned such topics (though usually students had their own options in my class), this is not only innocuous, but typical; and that it really is a question of how would students desire to help the country regardless of who the sitting president happens to be. It is similar to JFK's "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country", which was universally considered a highly patriotic statement.</span></li>    <li> </li>    <li><span style="color: #3366ff"> What is more, we are hearing about a minister in his parish in Arizona who has openly said to his congregation that he wants President Obama dead and for his children to be fatherless. This is coming from a man who is supposedly &quot;of the Cloth.&quot;  Following that, one of his parishioners was seen at a Congressional meeting carrying an automatic rifle. What is this world coming to?!?!?!?!?!!! What are we teaching our children from our actions and words as parents, church, and community. The field of education must help our children make sense of all of this. Not by teaching politics, but in teaching intelligence, and how to read and think for themselves properly. . That is really the basis of it all.   <li> </li>    <li><span style="color: #3366ff"> Again, I beg of people all over this country to pray also against the Evil that is being dispersed through distractors and detractors in this country who are crying out against President Obama with false allegations, against a man who is in the uppermost position our nation, who only wants to encourage our nation's students to study and do well in school.  So again, I ask the members of this site to come together in prayer in support of the person that God has allowed to be put in charge of this country at this moment in time. I have just heard a newscast that reports former First Lady Laura Bush has spoken out saying that she thinks President Obama is doing a good job, and is praising First Lady Michelle. I give her high commendations for this objective, Christian-like response of speaking out amid the evil-mongering of the Right, including those who are ill-advised of her own party.     The power of misinformation is profound.

    (A Message to all Black people]

     

             There exist a type of deplored warfare that is commonly used by governments against the masses and targeted groups. It is a covert method that prevails from a psychological perspective using manipulative misinformation. Manipulative misinformation is so profound that it may cause an individual to take his own life.  Lets us, for example, imagine that a man was being held prisoner within a small room. And that he was forewarned that highly dangerous poisonous gas would be pumped into the room. Even if this gas was replaced by a few harmless puffs of baby powder, the man being totally convinced and expecting the lethal gas would response accordingly to that expectation. He would panic causing his heart rate to race out of control perhaps causing a fatal heart-attack. He might also break his hands or rip his nails off as he struck them against the solid wall trying to escape. The terrified man may also resort to holding his breath-- to prevent from inhaling the gas he believes to be poisonous-- causing himself to pass out, thus falling to floor hitting his head and dying. In this scenario the man is killed by manipulative misinformation and it is a very plausible example.  The power of manipulative misinformation is so immensely profound that it can deeply crush one’s spirit a thousand times over in but an instant. It only requires the proper circumstances and setting.

             Such circumstances and setting exists within the corporate owned and governmentally controlled media. The media’s ability to manipulate the masses is incredible.  A few news reports about a swine flu out break can convince millions of people not to attend work tomorrow and pull their children out of schools even if there was in fact no swine flu at all.  The media’s immense ability to manipulate the masses should never be under estimated nor is it ever overstated. In fact the media’s ability to manipulate is so powerfully effective that it can even convince a loving mother to kill her only child.

     

               The effectiveness of the media’s ability to profoundly influence and a control mass population was made obvious as a result of one of the most infamous mistakes in history. It happened on Oct. 30, 1938, when millions of Americans tuned in to a popular radio program that featured a plays directed by, and starring, Orson Welles. The performance that evening was an adaptation of the science fiction novel The War of the Worlds, about a Martian invasion of the earth. But in adapting the book for a radio play, Welles made an important change: under his direction the play was written and performed so it would sound like a news broadcast about an invasion from Mars, a technique that, presumably, was intended to heighten the dramatic effect.  News of the panic was conveyed as a via genuine news report. As the audience listened to this simulation of news broadcast, created with voice acting and sound effects, a portion of the audience concluded that it was hearing an actual news account of an invasion from Mars. This quickly generated immense scare. People packed the roads, hid in cellars, loaded guns, fought among themselves, even wrapped their heads in wet towels as protection from Martian poison gas, in an attempt to defend themselves against aliens, oblivious to the fact that they were acting out the role of the panic-stricken public that actually belonged in a radio play. These people listening to the false broadcast were taken in by the totally false accounts and became confused, disarray and distrusting of their neighbors even resulting in immense violence.  This example proves more potently than any argument, Dr. Edward Bernays claims of the enormous effectiveness of the media at affecting masses of people.

    Most people are unaware of the profound power of misinformation when it is systematically deployed as a psychological weapon against an individual or group. However the white elites are well aware of its immense power. They have researched it thoroughly and have used it repetitively -as a sort of psychosocial weapon-- against individuals and targeted groups. According to researcher Mack White, Psychologist Dr. Hadley Cantril conducted a study of the effects of the broadcast and published his findings in a book, The Invasion from Mars: A Study in the Psychology of Panic, (1939). This study explored the power of broadcast media, particularly as it relates to the suggestibility of human beings under the influence of fear. Dr. Cantril was affiliated with Princeton University's Radio Research Project, which was funded in 1937 by the Rockefeller Foundation. Also affiliated with the Project was Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member and Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) executive Frank Stanton, whose network had broadcast the program. Stanton would later go on to head the news division of CBS, and in time would become president of the network, as well as chairman of the board of the RAND Corporation, the influential think tank which has done groundbreaking research on, among other things, mass brainwashing.

    Two years later, with Rockefeller Foundation money, Cantril established the Office of Public Opinion Research (OPOR), also at Princeton. Among the studies conducted by the OPOR was an analysis of the effectiveness of "psycho-political operations" (propaganda, in plain English) of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the forerunner of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Then, during World War II, Cantril and Rockefeller money assisted CFR member and CBS reporter Edward R. Murrow in setting up the Princeton Listening Center, the purpose of which was to study Nazi radio propaganda with the object of applying Nazi techniques to OSS propaganda. Out of this project came a new government agency, the Foreign Broadcast Intelligence Service (FBIS). The FBIS eventually became the United States Information Agency (USIA), which is the propaganda arm of the National Security Council. Thus, by the end of the 1940s, the basic research had been done and the propaganda apparatus of the national security state had been fully established.

    Over time the techniques continued to increase in their sophistication.  Since the 1950's, U.S. experimental psychologists and Cognitive scientists have developed ideas about the unconscious mental process that proposes that most of our mental processes happen outside of our awareness suggesting that the ability to control the behavior of people around us subconsciously is now a distinct possibility. Moreover, over the past five decades, human sociobiology has transformed into an evolutionary psychology that has gained science the means and ability to control and, therefore, predict the actions and feelings of individuals or groups merely by the messages conveyed against them. According to this controversial use of psychology, the human mind is the most extraordinary part of the human body, and there seems to be little doubt, wrote biologist David Barash, "that the unconscious is real and that in certain obscure ways the forces of culture are all-powerful in shaping human behavior.
      People’s definition of themselves, their definition of other people and the definition of values by which people operate and act towards other are greatly influenced by the media. Perception created by the media leads to non-deliberate thoughtful decision-making or decision below the level of consciousness. It has been called “thinking without thinking”, and it ultimately leads to unconscious similar behaviors.

           The U.S. Government has longed used the media’s mass manipulation abilities to steer society towards its objectives. These media manipulation practices are used to promote certain political policies, ideologies and governmental objectives. It also used to intrinsically define targeted groups and or populations. --- Intrinsically, definition; particularly definitions that are developed to harm other people have been described as “radical simplifiers” that position for marginalization or for destruction, those they defined---. It can either involve outright lies, or a distortion of the truth. This latter example is precisely what is being done to African Americans as a means of meeting the U.S. government’s unrelenting objective of maintaining its white racial dominance and control. The U.S. government now secretly uses this same proven method of media manipulation against its Black population through a media deployed psychosocial program of where in which African Americans are perpetually misled and manipulated by way of fraudulent negative media reports and false statistics that are designed to corrupt their sense of unity and lesson pressure for social change in their behalf thus facilitating a national consensual setting for their exploitation and suppression.  It is an insidious yet very sophisticated system of control that creates deplorable false misinformation and media reports about its Black population.

     

    Most African Americans are totally unaware of this method of emitting white racism; therefore many will find it too shocking to contemplate.      Unlike the blatantly overt system of racism used in the past that resulted in African Americans unifying themselves against it, this modern system of racism is not easily recognized or comprehended by its Black victims.  Nevertheless, it is directly intertwined with the extensive challenges negatively impacting Black America today.  It is so well disguised that although many of its Black victims may instinctively feel that there is something wrong, they are however unable to sufficiently conceptualize it so that they can unify and defend themselves against it.  It is so sophisticated that even the very brightest of African Americans may have little, if any hope of extricating themselves from its detrimental effects. 

     

    It is a psychosocial program of where in which African Americans are denigrated within every aspect of American society through reports about their educational failures, crime statistics, and national health statistics.  In fact based upon the U.S. Government’s national health statistics and reports concerning the health of Black America, it appears as if the bodies of Black people are literally genetically and physically inferior to the bodies of Whites.  However, when examined outside of governmental discretion and control, we see, to the contrary, that Blacks are often America’s greatest athletes.  In other words, it is only when statistics are totally in the hands of the White government that the bodies of Blacks appear physically inferior to Whites.  Clearly there is a psychosocial manipulative conditioning programs being applied against African Americans. We can no longer ignore the obvious indications that the U.S. government is using its proven method of mass psychological manipulation against us African American. The mounting evidence is too great to be purely coincidental for us not to connect the dots -- it is in fact an exact match.  The routine subjugation of African Americans could not occur so effortlessly without psychological warfare.  It is too prevalent to be merely dismissed as an oversight or as being the work of a few local governments.  It is being deliberately instituted at the national level.  Given the preponderance of noted evidence and facts clearly then connecting these dots should be made rather easy. African Americans are being deliberately psychologically mortified by a governmentally media deployed mass manipulation program. This method of deploying white racism is so thorough and proficient that many African Americans will disregard any disclosure of its existence as mere nonsense and preposterously inconceivable. In fact, this form of racism is so proficient at damaging Black self-perception that tragically it has become easier for many Blacks to accept that the  problems lies with themselves rather than being a modernized system of institutionalized racism implemented by the ruling white governmental elites.

     

    The media is corporate owned and government controlled.  How else is it possible that these so-called independent newspapers and independent television channels remain so succinctly synchronized in their news presentations each and every day?  Clearly the free press in America is a myth, for no matter what happens in the world, and no matter what channel you turn to, you hear the identical news reports from network to network -- only the faces reading the reports changes. This is far too much of a coincidence given that the media have separate journalists.  Much of the news comes from syndicated news sources and these accounts for the overlapping identical news report and explains how is it that the national media may be used to controllably influence, and therefore socially engineer society. These factors combined with the fact that the media’s fraudulently inaccurate deplorable depiction of African Americans and its produce outcome of causing internalized turmoil and disunity among their group are totally consistent with those applied psychological mind-conditioning programs and systems developed by the federal government makes this conclusion inevitable.

     

    White people do not have to be smarter than Black people to maintain their dominance they merely just have to convince Black people that they’re smarter and this system provides that for them. In that it mortifyingly conditions Blacks to not only accept, but to also prefer white institutions and dominance over their lives.

    How is it that today so many African Americans, perhaps more now than ever before in history, so favorably and adamantly refer to themselves by the derogatory "N" word?   How is it that a word that we as a people once fought so adamantly against is now seen as a favorable term of endearment and empowerment among so many of us?   Why are so many of our male youths now admiring the deplorable behaviors of thugery and pimping?  Moreover, how have Black unity, racial pride, and educational aspiration, once hallmarks of Black identity -especially as so overtly demonstrated during the 1960's- so dramatically declined?  How and when did we African Americans become living contradictions of our former selves?  Do we continue to accept the easy and convenient answer that we as a people merely “just changed” – therefore our admirable cultural traits all merely disintegrated-- when integration and other subsequent opportunities became available?  Are we really to believe that the white race’s unmatched proclivity for racism magically disappeared and that it is only we that are now our own worst enemy? (Our thoughts of contempt has now been turned psychologically inward; it is a common combat strategy to turn a people against themselves)

     Within this same breath the question should also be asked of how and when did the white race become the litmus test and standard for all humanity despite their brutally racist history to the contrary of where of which all other races has been either their enemies or their victims?

    Many people of African descent-- those possessing the mental fortitude to remain psychologically awaken within a white dominated world that wants them asleep-- have pondered upon these very same profound questions their entire lives. They know that there is something going on. Many often can not fully explain it, but have felt it their entire lives like a splinter in their minds that something is terrible wrong.  Rather than partaking within the pathological struggle created by these profound questions this literature will instead reveal the long awaited answer.  It is a terrible truth that many Black people have intuitively always known was happening.

    These profound questions regarding the present state [and apparent mind set] of Black America is not void of a rational and intelligent explanation.  The present state of Black America [as with Blacks else where within a white governed society i.e. the U.K, Canada, etc...] is the result of a governmentally deplored modern method of control.  Although today most African Americans do not experience racism the way their parents experienced it, they do, however, still experience White racism.  White America's practices of economically exploiting and suppressing its Black population were never actually abandoned, but instead sophisticatedly reincarnated. White America's methods of institutional racism has been secretly modified into a more contemporary and stealthy design.

    As a means of  maintaining its white dominance and control over its Black population, the U.S. Government now secretly deliberately disseminates false deplorably racially devaluing statistics and propaganda about its Black population that are deliberately designed to adversely manipulate and shape the minds and collective consciousness of its African American population-- corrupting African Americans sense of unity, cohesion, and reason -- and facilitates a consensual national environment  of where in which its Black population is more easily divided, exploited and ultimately suppressed.  When most people hear the term of psychological manipulation they usually think in terms of the classic "conspiracy theory" that refers to overt mind control such as mind altering drugs with carefully hypnotic programming. However, the real and true dangers are Bernays well proven methods of affecting the unconscious mind by using deception, and psychological manipulation. It is neither magical nor mystical, but a process that involves a set of basic social psychological principles.

    This modern system prevails by using misinformation as a tool to spread false beliefs and fears to influence the masses to ensure that its white dominance and control is maintained. The usage of information is rarely considered when discussing method of emitting white racism; however information is the single most important thing that moves the global economy, influences political regimes, and constructs human behavior. Information management, social engineering, and traffic shaping are the evil crafts of the digital age.  Information is the single most important thing that moves the world economy, influences political regimes, constructs human behavior and, when put together, defines meaningful thoughts. It is a tool of our trade and a powerful ally, but it can also be used as a weapon of mass destruction.

     The constant relentless bombardment with deplorably negative images of themselves that of which African Americans are so inundated with is a very carefully and deliberately designed mass media social manipulation program that subjects African Americans--through a white controlled media --to seeing only the fraudulent worst in themselves. Its unrelenting daily assault on the Black psyche drills the message that Blacks are powerless, of lesser moral, and intelligence and that they need whites to govern over their lives.  It totally detaches African Americans from their sense of power and reality. Moreover, it corrupts African Americans’ sense of racial unity and cohesion, mold the character of self-hatred, engender self-doubt, self-loathing, and distrust among their group while insinuating that Blacks admire, respect, and trust only Whites

     

     Unlike the blatantly overt system of racism used in the past that resulted in African Americans unifying themselves against it, this modern system of racism is not easily recognized or comprehended by its Black victims.   It is so subtle, pervasive, well-organized, complete, and proficient and yet most African Americans are totally unaware of this method of emitting white racism.      Unfortunately for Black America, this modern racist system will not be discontinued by the white elites because of the historic and unprecedented presidency of Barrack Obama alone.  America’s true rulers, the white elites that maintain their powers and status regardless of who is president, merely intends to use this presidency as a global marketing campaign as a means for restoring America's eroded global image and standing in the world.  They will also use it to solidifying their positions of white dominance and control by perpetuating the false hood that America has truly become a fair and equal society thus making all minorities cries for true equality even lesser heard.  

     Unless the masses of Black people are made aware of this modern racist system and unify themselves against it, the white elites will continue to use it against us --even with one Black president.   

    From the perspective of the white elites this action against its Black population is deemed necessary as a means of preserving its White dominance and control. If the U.S. government did not treat its Black population in a manner which promoted maintaining its White dominance and control, it would be diametrically opposed to itself--its white preservation and dominance.  This hidden scenario has always necessitated the U.S. Government to secretly use every conceivable means and opportunity to suppress the advancement and growth of its Black population; even those suppressive methods that contradict its own stated moral and ethical values. [This statement is affirmed by  evidential facts of history’s  Jim crow laws; Tuskegee experiments, Federally funded eugenics program targeting Black birth rates; CIA’s involvement  in  disseminating drugs and high powered weapon into Blacks communities ; Federal enhance sentencing laws that targets Black populations; FBI COINTEL programs that negatively targeted  Black enhancement programs and groups.]

     

    Through this sophisticated media deployed psychosocial program African Americans are perpetually misled and manipulated by way of fraudulent negative media reports and false statistics that are designed to corrupt their sense of unity

    This psychological manipulation program works by affecting the unconscious mind through deception. It uses the psychology of deceit to adversely affect the recipient group in terms of their behavior. To the detriment of many African Americans, it has been an extremely effective. It has successfully conditioned many African Americans to accept the dominance of Whites and white institutions over their lives by misleading them to believe that they are, themselves, their own worst enemies, therefore engendering an aberration of internalized self contempt that pulverizes Black unity and halts Black upward mobility. It is at the root of both the profound division and self hatred now afflicting so many Black Americans and is at the heart of internalized feelings of superiority that many whites possess.

     

    IT ALSO ENGINEERS CONSENT FOR THE MISTREATMENT OF BLACK PEOPLE

    . Not only does this massive governmental psychological manipulation campaign negatively impacts Blacks self perceptions, it also lesson pressure for social change in their behalf thus facilitating a national consensual setting for their easier exploitation and suppression. This media driven psychosocial program  conveniently provides a more socially acceptable and covert means of ensures that the masses of African Americans remains the most racially devalued and most economical exploited and suppressed group in America. 

    The media’s constantly depicted deplorable imagery of Black Americans creates a shift of victimization that changes the root problem of racism in America to be due to Black’s behavior rather than White’s proclivity for racism. Therefore engendering increasingly prejudiced distorted perceptions and acrimonious beliefs about African Americans that are designed to makes the nation and the entire world insensitive to their plight, tranquilizes efforts on their behalf, lessens pressure for social change on their behalf, and makes any serious criticism of White racism almost impossible today. Therefore fostering a national setting of where in which Blacks are more easily exploited and ultimately consensually suppressed. It also creates a false justification for the legal system’s mistreatment of African Americans wherein they are disproportionately incarcerated, given stiffer sentences, and are more likely than other racial groups to be treated brutally, beaten, and fired upon by police officers while they are unarmed. These injustices now goes ignored because the perception has subconsciously become that it’s all now justified.  When contempt of Blacks is made to appear to be justifiable, it is the fiercest and most effective type of racism because its witnesses, bystanders, and even world audiences will sit by idly allowing African Americans to be brutally mistreated under the belief that it is justified. This method of control and suppression is based upon the methods of propaganda techniques of renowned psychologist and United States propaganda specialist Dr. Edward Bernays. This is what mass manipulation propaganda specialist Dr. Edward Bernays referred to as “engineering consent”. 

    The effects of this social program are also manifested in ideas, education, governmental policies, economic stratification, social segregation, housing markets, hiring and promotion practices, psychological issues, and minority access to a variety of social services and opportunity. It also affects attitudes that when enacted through governmental policies, laws, and other legislation actions, serve to ensure that African Americans will not advance.  Through the usage of mass psychological manipulation White America’s methods of institutionalized racism has been secretly modified into a more sophisticated and stealthy design. Unfortunately to the detriment of many African Americans this modern system of deploying white racism has been very proficient.  Some studies have shown that this social program has engendered increasingly acrimonious beliefs and prejudiced perceptions about and against African Americans that are arguably stronger today than they were after emancipation.

    This is not an attempt to shirk our own personal responsibilities as Black people but is instead a truth that needs to be recognized and address if Black people are to be apart of the future. This present stated of Black America is the results of this detrimental social engineering program.

    Because this literature exposes the profound dimensions of hidden, conspiratorial racism that secretly still exists at governmental levels in the United States, these are therefore very dangerous areas that the author is exploring.  For if this disclosure was to become better known among African Americans, the U.S. Government would most certainly initiate a national campaign of spin control and coverage through the national media and the Internet with experts lined up to dispute its premise.  The reason of why is because this article offers the truth for those who will listen for it.  The many problems now facing Black America will not be corrected by implementing outdated strategies of foot marches, speeches, or the commemoration of fallen Black martyrs.  We can also no longer survive as a race addressing this modern system of racism using nineteen century strategies.  Nor will these problems be corrected by the preaching of scriptures from any of our religious texts but instead only by exposing and addressing this modern covert system of control that I refer to as the “Black Matrix”. It is the fiercest and most lethal system of institutionalized racism now facing Black America.  A reality of truth must prevail if we Black people are to be a part of the future. We can no longer survive as a race hanging on to given white misinformation used to confuse, divide, exploit and ultimately suppress us as a means of maintaining their white dominance. 

    We Africans and African descendants throughout the world must educate our selves about what is really going on. This understanding is in fact extremely imperative if Black people are to be a part of the future. In order for Black people to acquire real positive change within the entire global community it is imperative that we understand how white racism has sophisticatedly evolved and then confront it unrelentingly.

Beauregard, (that’s me) has chanced life and limb and not to mention “enhanced interrogation techniques approved by former V.P. Dick Cheney, to report to you and the rest of the “civilized world”, exactly how strategies to combat Liberal Democrat Commies are born and developed in a place so secret, that we will only refer to it as “The Hornets Nest”. 

     

    The Reality of it all

     

    “The Hornets Nest” is the Think Tank of all Conservative Think Tanks.  Funded by our friends and allies from The John Birch Society, the NRA, Fox Network News, Birthers for Freedom, Hanks Ammo and Taxidermy and 65% of the US Senate, our goal, err… I mean, “Their goal”, is to defeat the Socialist Communist Nazi Loving Democrat Party which is led by “Their President”, Barrack Hussein Obama”.  Who, thank you very much, is attempting to ensure that ALL Americans receive affordable healthcare.  Every real conservative knows that healthcare insurance without maximum profit is purely un-American. 

     

    In an exclusive interview granted to yours truly by Tennessee Senator Diane Black this past Easter at the “Beacon Light” Baptist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee, Senator Black stated that “All Good and God Fearing Americans already have ample enough health insurance as provided by our patriotic Health Care Corporations”.  In fact the Senator went on to say that if we allowed Governmental Socialist Health Insurance to circulate around the country, “illegals”  “from south of the border” and welfare recipients from “up North” would live longer, thus creating an unnatural phenomenon that would increase their chances of taking over our beloved country.   

     

    The Hornet’s Nest

     

    Under the leadership of House Minority Leader John Boehner and former Alaska Governor Sarah “You betcha I’m a wolf hunter” Palin, the best and brightest of “Conservative Minds” converge annually on the birthday of our country’s greatest President, Ronald Reagan and devise tactics to counter the Democratic agenda which is led by Obama, Pelosi and Reid. They are taught that the best way to hide one’s weaknesses and the best way to protect one’s backside is to accuse his or her nemesis of the very weakness that makes that particular “conservative soldier” weak.  Whether the weakness is women, young boys, drugs or booze, if that conservative soldier has a particular struggle, then in the name of Gawd Almighty, (Gawd won’t mind, because Gawd is a Conservative) accuse your Liberal opponent of having that weakness and then…create enough smoke to make the charge “linger around” for a decade or two.  Getting “them” before they can “get you” is an essential component of Hornet's Nest Philosophy. 

     

    Per Senator Black, Knowing when to apply the principles of “up is down” and “down is up” – example – (torture is good, war is good, diplomacy is bad) - to our constituents who still believe that “Mayberry RFD” and “All in family” are the last oases for safe family viewing on TV Land, is paramount in being able to control our constituent’s political “hot buttons”.  From years of study and application, it has been proven by alumni of the Hornet’s Nest, that the mere mention of God, guns, abortion, Socialism, and Communism will drive our faithful constituents into a frenzy that is fit for a lynching.  But the greatest secret weapon that current Hornet’s Nest students are devising that will be used against Obama, Pelosi and Reid is a critter called “The Blue Dog”.

    Per Pat Buchanan, who is the Dean and Chief Administrator of the Hornet’s Nest, the Democratic Blue Dog Coalition is a group of currently 52 moderate and conservative Democratic Party members of the United States House of Representatives, first formed in 1995.  The Blue Dogs promote, among other things, fiscal conservatism and accountability.  In other words, Blue Dogs believe in the same values as set forth by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Robert E. Lee and John Wayne.  Because of the Blue Dog’s ability to infiltrate and wreak havoc within the world of Liberal Socialism, they are rewarded by way of campaign contributions from our country’s greatest corporate philanthropists (Insurance and Banking), who ensure that the Blue Dog’s double agent existence and cover will prevail and their mission of dissolving Democrat Party unity lives on forever.

Jones                                        The present despairing state of Black America is neither a baffling phenomenon, nor the result of some innate racial deficiency among Blacks, but rather instead the result of the White elite’s innate proclivity for always reinventing devious methods of  suppressing its Black population-- as a means of maintaining its white dominance and control. The architect of the modern method of suppression now used against Black America was the late Dr. Edward Bernays.   “If we understand the mechanism and motives of a group mind, it is now possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without them knowing it"         -- Dr. Edward Bernays      Dr. Edward Bernay’s was a nephew of Sigmund Freud and one of the most skillful experts in mass manipulation.  He invented the modern day Madison Avenue advertising Agencies by using his Uncle Sigmund's knowledge of the human psyche to make people feel they needed whatever product was being advertised. Edward Bernays also invented the public relations profession in the 1920s and was the first person to take Freud's ideas to manipulate the masses. Bernays was one of the main architects of the modern techniques of mass-consumer persuasion. He showed American corporations how they could make people want things they didn't need by systematically linking mass-produced goods to their unconscious desires. His most notorious feat was breaking the taboo on women smoking by persuading them that cigarettes were a symbol of independence and freedom.   You've Come a Long Way Baby!    Bernays was convinced that this mass method of manipulation was more than just a way of selling consumer goods. For him it was a new political idea of how to control the masses. By satisfying the inner irrational desires that his uncle, Sigmund Freud, had identified, people could be made happy, docile, angry, self hating or even confused.   During World War I, Bernays and journalist Walter Lippman were hired by then United States President, Woodrow Wilson, to participate in the Creel Commission, the mission of which was to sway popular opinion in favor of entering the war, on the side of Britain. The war propaganda campaign of Bernays and Lippman produced such an intense anti-German hysteria as to permanently impress America’s governmental elites with the potential of large-scale propaganda to control public opinion. Edward Bernays advised US presidents from Woodrow Wilson to Eisenhower and served numerous corporations and business associations. This was the start of the mass media and governmental psychological manipulation programs which has come to covertly dominate today's world. One of Bernays biggest fans was Hitler's propaganda chief, Joseph Goebbels, a fact about which Bernays bragged proudly.  A common pattern used repeatedly by Bernays was to turn a harmless entity into a fearsome enemy through lies and manufactured news items. Then use the "threat" to justify attacking the entity. Edward Bernays coined the terms "group mind" and "engineering consent", important concepts in practical propaganda work. Bernays said in his 1928 book Propaganda, that; "The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. He further states that; “If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, it is now possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without them knowing it” The current public relations industry is a direct outgrowth of Bernays' work and his method of mass psychological manipulation is also still currently used by the United States government.   The U.S. Government has an extensive history of conducting planned campaigns of extensive strategic psychological operations [based upon the works of Bernays] through the national media to influence and direct the perception and climate of the nation towards its governmental objectives. Given that the nineteen sixties were a period of massive black rebellion and unrest that eroded the American global image and increasingly placed the nation’s peace and stability in dire jeopardy and perhaps most particularly because the nations top sociologist and psychologist knew that those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. This quite logically necessitated that the U.S. Government employ these same proven methods of mass psychological manipulation against its entire African American population.       Today as a means of maintaining its white dominance and control the U.S. government now manipulates, and shapes the minds and collective consciousness of its Black population through the usage of misinformation disseminated through the mass media. The U.S. Government now secretly deliberately disseminates false deplorably racially devaluing statistics and propaganda about its Black population that are deliberately designed to adversely manipulate and shape the minds and collective consciousness of its African American population-- corrupting African Americans sense of unity, cohesion, and reason-- and fostering a consensual national environment  of where in which its Black population is more easily divided, exploited and ultimately suppressed.       When most people hear the term of psychological manipulation they usually think in terms of the classic "conspiracy theory" that refers to overt mind control such as mind altering drugs with carefully hypnotic programming. However, the real and true dangers are Bernays well proven methods of affecting the unconscious mind by using deception, and psychological manipulation. It is neither magical nor mystical, but a process that involves a set of basic social psychological principles.  The constant relentless bombardment with deplorably negative images of themselves that of which African Americans are so inundated with, through a white controlled media, is a very carefully and deliberately designed psychological conditioning program. Its unrelenting daily assault on the Black psyche is designed to corrupt African Americans’ sense of racial unity and cohesion, mold the character of self-hatred, engender self-doubt, self-loathing, and distrust among their group. And while insinuating that Blacks admire, respect, and trust only Whites.   This method of psychological manipulation works by affecting the unconscious mind through deception. It uses the psychology of deceit to adversely affect the recipient group in terms of their behavior. Here is a simplified example of how this is being implemented against African Americans.  Let us, for example, imagine that a crew of people was aboard their own massive ship and that this ship was being shadowed by another neighboring ship that was constantly broadcasting derogatory messages to the first group. Such messages as that their ship was lesser, smaller, not seaworthy, perhaps slowly sinking or that their crew was incompetent and was planning a mutiny.  With time, the group receiving the negative messages, being unable to refute or to confirm these derogatory messages and deficiencies will grow weary and paranoid of the negative messages and will eventually comes to accept these negative assessments of themselves. The perception created by the taunting now unconsciously influences how the taunted group perceives themselves, subsequently causing them to become distrustful of themselves, doubting themselves, hating themselves and, eventually, fighting among themselves. The taunted group may even become so besieged by deep feelings of inadequacy that they may even jump into the sea and attempt to swim towards the taunting ship now believing it to be superior to their own ship even if their own ship was in fact better. The basis of this concept of mind manipulation is that the human being's most critical aspect is the mind and it works by affecting the mind through deception. Within a real life setting this mortifying psychosocial treatment is precisely what is being deliberately done to African Americans through corporate owned and governmentally controlled media outlets that deliberately subjected them to seeing only the fraudulently worst in themselves. This is done through an immense campaign of false derogatory misinformation and false negative media reports and statistics that are created by U.S. governmental agencies and then leaked to its collaborators in the news media, which either knowingly or unknowingly carry the stories as their own. These false information about African Americans are then disseminated unrelentingly everywhere; it is deliberately perpetuated through news releases in magazine articles, radio, television, press releases, documentaries, and false census reports perpetuating and framing the myth of Whites’ racial, moral, and ethical superiority over its Black population. However, the weapon is not in how the message is carried, but is instead within the messages that it carries and how these messages detrimentally affects the Black population at large. The overrepresentation of Black crimes and grossly exaggerated statistics of Black on Black violence within this psychosocial program are intentionally designed to create fear, hatred, and distrust thus molding the character of disunity and self-hatred among the Black community.  [Black’s own personal negative experiences and interactions with their fellow Blacks then merely confirm the program’s perpetuated message that it is they that are their own worst enemies]. The ultimately goal of this governmental psychosocial treatment of African Americans is to destroy the Black unity and cohesion that was historically the cornerstone of civil rights gains and that was a crucial factor of the survival of African Americans through more than four hundred years of racial oppression. [Logic dictates that given that unity and cohesion among African Americans was responsible for the demise of White America’s past system of blatant, institutionalized racism, then destroying this unity would be an essential objective of this psychological manipulation program.]   All African Americans have experienced the burden of this system of applied psychological conditioning, some more severely than others have.  It is experienced every time we [Blacks] read a newspaper, watch the evening news, listen to a radio report, enter a classroom and read its racially biased textbooks.  To the detriment of many African Americans, it has been an extremely effective. It has successfully conditioned many African Americans to accept the dominance of Whites and white institutions over their lives by misleading them to believe that they are, themselves, their own worst enemies, therefore engendering an aberration of internalized self contempt that pulverizes Black unity and halts Black upward mobility. It is at the root of both the profound division and self hatred now afflicting so many Black Americans and is at the heart of internalized feelings of superiority that many whites possess. And while many African Americans have successfully navigated through this psychologically mortifying mine field and have gone on to lead successful, productive lives, for far too many this immense devaluation can seem inescapable and tragically, over time, many begin to accept subconsciously and painfully the negative portrayals of themselves. Many also become discouraged by the acceptance that their society is also preconditioned to see the worst in them and that, therefore, if they were ever to gain acceptance, if it is to be won at all, that success would be hard won. This in turn manifests negative internalized psychological pain and distress within many African Americans that can take many forms. In fact, this governmental mortifying psychosocial treatment of African Americans may be the most aggravating, if not core, factor of the national phenomenon of self hatred; loss of educational aspirations; loss of unity, cohesion and racial pride; and fragile psyches of many African Americans today. It is in fact so fundamentally detrimental to the Black human condition and psyche that it may even affect the extent to which many African Americans realize their full human potential. This type of psychological manipulation program has also been proven very effective in rapidly destroying a group’s ethical and moral values and engendering negative cultural norms with regard to violence, brutality, and even murder. All people, to some degree, are products of cultural conditions and their worldviews operate outside of their level of consciousness. Therefore, no group can be preconditioned to see only the worst in themselves and not exhibit some degree of negative psychological impact.  Not only does this massive governmental psychological manipulation campaign negatively impacts Blacks self perceptions, but it also provides a more socially acceptable way to assure that the masses of African Americans remains the most racially devalued and most economical exploited and suppressed group in America.         The media’s constant, fraudulently inaccurate, negative imagery of Black Americans is designed also to create a shift of victimization that changes the root problem of racism in America to be due to Black’s behavior rather than White’s proclivity for racism. Therefore insinuates that America would be a better society as a whole if African Americans were gone, thus engendering increasingly prejudiced distorted perceptions and acrimonious beliefs about African Americans that are designed to makes the nation and the entire world insensitive to their plight, tranquilizes efforts on their behalf, lessens pressure for social change on their behalf, and makes any serious criticism of White racism almost impossible today.  Its propaganda and manipulations practices are being deployed in all sectors - government, media, health and welfare, entertainment, and education, etc- nationally and internationally.   Therefore fostering a national setting of where in which Blacks are more easily exploited and ultimately consensually suppressed. Moreover, some studies have shown that this shift of victimization now reflects increasingly acrimonious beliefs and prejudiced perceptions about and against African Americans that are arguably stronger today than they were after emancipation.  This campaign also attempts to discourage miscegenation between Blacks and whites, and creates a false justification for the legal system’s mistreatment of African Americans wherein they are disproportionately incarcerated, given stiffer sentences, and are more likely than other racial groups to be treated brutally, beaten, and fired upon by police officers while they are unarmed. These injustices now goes ignored because the perception has subconsciously become that it’s all now justified.  When contempt of Blacks is made to appear to be justifiable, it is the fiercest and most effective type of racism because its witnesses, bystanders, and even world audiences will sit by idly allowing African Americans to be brutally mistreated under the belief that it is justified.  This is what Dr. Edward Bernays referred to as “engineering consent”.   This governmental psychological conditioning program stripped African Americans of the national and international support that was acquired during the 1960's civil rights struggles. It also today affects attitudes that when enacted through governmental policies, laws, and other legislation actions, serve to ensure that African Americans will not advance. Its effects are manifested in ideas, education, governmental policies, economic stratification, social segregation, housing markets, hiring and promotion practices, psychological issues, and minority access to a variety of social services and opportunity.               Many researchers have concluded that this insidious racist propaganda manipulations program was originally orchestrated by London's Tavistock Institute of Human relations. Although it had existed for decades earlier, the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations was formally established as an independent not-for-profit charity organization in September 1947.  Headquartered in London, the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations is a leading organization in the use of new and experimental behavioral science programs. The Tavistock Institute is an independent organization that conducts research in the social and behavioral sciences, applied in the field of health, education and community development. The Tavistock Institute's research orientation places it between, but not in, the worlds of academia and consultancy; and its range of disciplines include anthropology, economics, organizational behavior, political science, psychoanalysis, psychology and sociology. However BRAINWASHING remains the primary function of the Tavistock Institute of Human behavior. It has developed pioneering breakthroughs in the field of mass manipulation and brain-washing techniques. Its experiments in crowd control methods have been widely used on the American public, a surreptitious but nevertheless outrageous assault on human freedom by modifying individual behavior through topical psychology. The Tavistock Institute uses its skilled method of mass manipulation and societal social engineering to maintain social order-of which includes maintaining white dominance and control. The personnel of the corporations are required to undergo indoctrination at one or more of these Tavistock controlled institutions. A network of secret groups, the Mont Pelerin Society, Trilateral Commission, Ditchley Foundation, and the Club of Rome is conduit for instructions to the Tavistock network. The Institute’s prophet was Dr. Sigmund Freud, whom settled in Maresfield Gardens when he moved to England. Tavistock's pioneer work in science along Freudian lines of "controlling" humans established it as the world center of foundation ideology. Additionally Dr. Edward Bernays, Freud’s nephew and one of the most skillful experts in mass manipulation, was one of its most prestige’s members. In fact  Dr. Bernays was the first person to take Freud's ideas to manipulate the masses.      It is surmised that this system of mass manipulation of Blacks in America was implemented in the U.S in 1968 in the face of widespread violence that ensued after the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Dr. King’s brutal assassination led to many demonstrations of unrest and rioting disturbances; that of which were reported in more than 100 cities across the nation. This violence resulted in the loss of lives and property that cost the nation and taxpayers millions of dollars and increasingly placed the peace and stability of the nation in dire jeopardy.  America’s brutal racial mistreatment of African Americans had appeared to have reached its boiling point creating much unrest and discord. These factors, combined with the rapidly tarnishing American global image, led the U.S. Government’s agents of White supremacy to quickly reform their techniques of institutionalized racism.  The problem led to the then president, Lyndon B Johnson, ordering that a commission be formed, later known as the Kerner Commission, to investigate and prescribe a cure or recommendations for the problem. The Commission concluded that blatant White racism was the single aggravating factor for the collective problems. The Kerner report’s findings required that the U.S. Government abandon it’s condoning of open, blatant forms of racism to control and maintain White dominance. This abandoning of dated tactics led to the need for developing an improved method of controlling and suppressing its Black population.  Changing times made it necessary for the U.S. government to change its methods to a much more subtle and socially acceptable means of continuing its racial suppression of Blacks and to maintain its White dominance.  Clearly, the sophisticated method of psychological warfare met such a need.  It was the logical choice, perfect for the changing times.  Unlike the blatantly brutal forms of racism used in the past, which Blacks were able to identify easily and therefore unify and form counter strategies, this modern method of racism works from a psychological perspective The basis of this concept of mind manipulation is that the human being's most critical aspect is the mind and it works by affecting the unconscious mind through deception. Its weapon is the message that it carries and the way that it adversely affects the targeted recipient group in terms of their behavior. . This method provided the U.S. government a more socially acceptable method of continuing the White racial hierarchy for dominance and control given that it is not as easily recognized.  This new method exists in the space between overt racism and racial respect.  It provides the U.S government the ability to both influence the national climate and engender personal psychological feelings among  Americans that meets its governmental objective.    In order for we African Americans to overcome the profound feelings of hopelessness, confusion, and self hatred that still overwhelmingly plagues millions within our communities, we must synergized our energies and efforts towards countering the effects of the United State’s ongoing governmental mass media psychosocial treatment of us that is deliberately designed to render such disunity and confusion among our race as a means of ensuring that its white dominance and control is maintained. The objective of the United States government has always been to maintain its White dominance and control over its Black population, and clearly, psychological warfare meets this need. It was the logical choice because it covertly provided the U.S. Government with a far more sophisticated, proficient, and socially accepted means of covertly controlling and suppressing its Black population. Through this method the U.S. Government is able to both influence the national climate and engender personal psychological feelings among its Black population that meet its objectives of maintaining its white dominance.  Furthermore, history overwhelmingly demonstrates that the White race’s innate proclivity for racism, control, and dominance is much too deeply ingrained for them to just merely give up their practices of implementing suppressive methods over its African American population. The records of history show that the reincarnation of suppressive methods into forms more acceptable to the changing times is a common practice of the United States government.   As seen after the abolishment of slavery wherein its methods of using racist, oppressive treatment of its Black population was reincarnated into Jim Crow inequalities that included many devious strategies and methods that prevented Blacks from becoming registered voters.  And let us not forget the horrific Tuskegee experiments where of in which from1932 and 1972, the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) conducted dangerous syphilis experiments on four hundred Black men. These men were deliberately left to degenerate painfully under the ravishes of the disease – with symptoms including blindness, tumors, paralysis, insanity and death – to allow the U.S. Government to collect the needed data from their autopsies.  And let us also not forget of the CIA’s involvement in flooding the Black communities of Los Angeles with drugs and high powered weaponry and then disseminated these drugs and weaponry to many African American communities throughout the United States destroying the lives of millions of African Americans while stimulating the economy through the prison industry. The historic and demonstrative evidence overwhelmingly reflects the reality that the U.S. government does manifest a proclivity for reinventing devious methods to suppress its Black population.     Why I love African Americans

     

                 History affirms that African Americans have done more towards the obtainment of equality in the United States than other ethnic group. Where of which other ethnic groups, victimized by white racism, such as Asians, Latin’s, Native Americans etc had painfully accustomed their lives around America’s blatant system of white institutionalized racism African Americans however unified themselves and fought against it.  During the 1960’s African Americans fought white institutionalized racism on every front using militant means, non violent civil disobedience methods and through Black lawyers pleading their cases for equality within America’s Supreme Court. The brilliant organization and mobilizations of mass bus boycotts, marches, freedom riders, and sit ins that were peacefully conducted through the unified protest of civil disobedience by African Americans was remarkable and demonstrated an immense degree of Black unity.

              These methods of civil disobedience gave the world images of African Americans being violently attacked by Whites and not violently responding to them in return.  These images touched the hearts and consciences of others, gaining national and global support that eventually lead to white America abandoning its blatant and legalized forms of Jim Crow racism.  The degree of unity and organization demonstrated among African Americans then was extraordinary and arguably remains unrivaled by any other group in the history of America.

             Additionally African American contribution towards the advancements in the fields of science and technology during and following reconstruction has also been remarkably astounding.  This was made evident by the overabundance of patent applications submitted by African American inventors to the U.S. Patent office. Many of us know that the Wright Brothers invented the airplane but most of us are deliberately eluded of the fact that the motor and the propeller required to fly the airplane were invented by African Americans. It was also an African American that performed the first open heart surgery, made advancements on the light-bulb, invented the method used for blood banks around the world etc… These significant contributions are especially miraculous considering they were done under such racially oppressive conditions and so relatively shortly after slavery.  It was even an African American that invented the cell phone; an invention that has impacted the entire world and millions of people.

     What is more, the premise that there exists an innate proclivity for divisiveness among African Americans is also totally inaccurate. This premise is inconsistent with the true history of African Americans.  While perhaps difficult to believe, Black unity (Umoja) was historically, the cornerstone of the African American community and a crucial factor in the survival of Black America for more than four-hundred years of White racial oppression.  It is credited for the success of the Underground Railroad system that secretly led to the escape of hundreds of African slaves to the North.  Black unity and cohesion also contributed to the survival of millions of African Americans not only during slavery, but also during the aftermath of brutal Jim-Crow era lynching and through the financially crippling years of the United States’ great depression era.  Black unity was the most significant factor in the success of the 1960's civil right movement.

    This positive narrative of Africans Americans is a factual one but it is also one that is deliberately never heard neither within America’s educational system nor within its media. In fact their common portrayal of African Americans is deploringly contradictive of what has been presented here.

    Within the American society African Americans are most often depicted as the race and or group that can’t get it together, being intellectually inferior, more prone to crime, as having health disparities and diseases and as being societal burdens that have contributed very little if anything at all to the American way of life.

    Although sadly many Blacks themselves have come to accept these given negative assessments of them, they are however harmfully untrue.  Despite what is most often presented in the U.S. media, most crimes are not being committed by Black males and nor are Black women the largest recipients of welfare and affirmative actions. (White women are)  Also regardless of the prominent showings of Black athletes that marry white women, most Black men in the United States do love, prefer and most often marries Black women.  In addition the down low gay life style is not highest among Black males and nor are Black women more prone to possessing the most abrasive and rudest attitudes among their gender.  

      Furthermore, the belief that Blacks don’t enjoy reading is also totally fallacious, because Black readership is at its all time highest. For never before have there been more published African American authors, publishers and Black owned book stores. The Johnson publishing company, for example, is one of several African American publishing companies that have made the fortune five hundred list almost exclusively on the backs of millions of Black readership alone. Thirty years ago the popular Jet Magazine was published once a month now it’s published once a week if African American our reading less today how then is this possible?

     

        The more pressing question is why are African Americans being so grossly inaccurately portrayed within the United States media?  The monumental answer to this profound question will be answered within this article; however it will be quite difficult for many African Americans to accept because they have been conditioned away from realizing the truth. Also because of its immense degree of sophistication therefore many will find it too shocking and stunning to contemplate. However, it is imperative that all Black people become cognizant of what is really being done to them.

     

    Malcolm X once said (paraphrasing) that the media has the ability to turn villains into heroes and turn victims into villains. He also said (again paraphrasing) that the white controlled media and educational system bamboozles and hoodwinks us. His profound words uttered some forty years ago are precisely what is being done to African Americans today. Moreover it is now the most detrimental, proficient and sophisticated system of racism ever deplored against African Americans.

    As a means of maintaining its white dominance and control, the U.S. government now uses a modern covert system of control and suppression of its Black population that uses false disinformation disseminated through the national media that is deliberately designed to confuse, and divide its Black population and to create a consensual environment of where in which Blacks are more easily exploited and ultimately suppressed.

    The white controlled media deplorable portrayal of Black people is a

    deliberate psychosocial program that is designed to engender self hate, disunity, and confusion among African Americans as a means of maintaining America’s white dominance and control. Not only does it conditions African Americans to accept white dominance over their lives, but also conditions them to prefer it.

    This covert revamped system of white racism is so proficient that it directly contributes to the ill self perceptions among millions of African Americans and the myriad problems now adversely affecting Black America.  Black people’s images of themselves are being defined to them by white men whom they’ve never met. Powerful elites white men that are secretly still committed to maintaining white dominance and control in the United States and therefore are doing so by feeding Black people those fraudulent stories of themselves that convinces them of white superiority and their own inferiority .

     It is these media reports comprised completely by white men, that African Americans can in fact neither confirm nor refute, that tells Black people who and what they are. As a result of this unfair arrangement many millions of African Americans have now come to accept the deplorably inaccurate perceptions of themselves as a race; a view that Black unity, racial pride, and educational aspiration-- collective characteristics that were once hallmarks of Black culture and identity-- all merely disintegrated when integration and other subsequent opportunities became available and that they themselves are totally the blame and now their own worst enemies. The harmfully inaccurate self perceptions among millions of African Americans today are not merely coincidental.

     

    It no random coincident that so many Black people in the U.S. are now saying that they hate Black people. These feelings are the result of a deliberate covert psychosocial mass manipulation is program that is being deplored against America’s Black population as a means for maintaining white dominance and control.

     

    Because African Americans are inundated with fraudulent negatively depictions of themselves they are therefore operating from a false perception of themselves. Although some blacks may experienced negative interactions with their fellow Blacks that make these negative portrayals appear accurate they are however not. Blacks own negative experiences with their fellow blacks merely acts as a confirmation of what is being fraudulently perpetuated.  For example, a Black woman who has been hurt by three Black men in her life time may become totally convinced, when such hurtful experiences are constantly support by the media’s negative portrayals of Black men, that all the other 12 million Black men in the U.S. that she hasn’t met are all dogs incapable of love.

    The U.S. government has used fake news reports to support its governmental objectives for several decades. Its unrelenting objective of maintaining its white racial dominance and control unrelenting has resulted in it secretly uses this same proven method of media manipulation through fake news reports against its Black population. It is an insidious yet very sophisticated system of control. Deliberate fraudulent statistics, media and news reports about African Americans are disseminated unrelentingly everywhere through news releases in magazine articles, radio, television, press releases, documentaries, and false census reports perpetuating and framing the myth of Whites’ racial, moral, and ethical superiority over its Black population. However, the weapon is not in how the message is carried, but is instead within the messages that it carries and how these messages adversely affect its targeted Black recipient group. Its constant relentless bombardment of deplorably negative imageries of African Americans is a very carefully and deliberately designed psychological conditioning program. It is designed to adversely manipulate and shape the minds and collective consciousness of America’s Black population by subjecting them to seeing only the fraudulent worst in themselves.  Its unrelenting daily assault on the Black psyche drills the message that Blacks are powerless, of lesser moral, and intelligence and that they need Whites to govern over their lives.  It totally detaches African Americans from their sense of power and reality. Moreover, it corrupts African Americans’ sense of racial unity and cohesion, mold the character of self-hatred, engender self-doubt, self-loathing, and distrust among their group while insinuating that Blacks admire, respect, and trust only Whites. Additionally it conditions America’s Black population to accept the dominance of Whites and white institutions over their lives by misleading them to believe that they are, themselves, their own worst enemies, therefore engendering an aberration of internalized self contempt that pulverizes Black unity and halts Black upward mobility.     Its propaganda and manipulations practices divides to conquer and misinforms to exploit and suppress it Black population and it is being deployed in all sectors - government, media, health and welfare, entertainment, and education, etc- nationally and internationally.

     

    It is surmised that this modern method of control was implemented in 1968 in the face of widespread violence that ensued after the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Dr. King’s brutal assassination led to many demonstrations of unrest and rioting disturbances; that of which were reported in more than 100 cities across the nation. This violence resulted in the loss of lives and property that cost the nation and taxpayers millions of dollars and increasingly placed the peace and stability of the nation in dire jeopardy.  America’s brutal racial mistreatment of African Americans had appeared to have reached its boiling point creating much unrest and discord. These factors, combined with the rapidly tarnishing American global image, led the U.S. Government’s agents of White supremacy to quickly reform their techniques of institutionalized racism.

     The problem led to the then president, Lyndon B Johnson, ordering that a commission be formed, later known as the Kerner Commission, to investigate and prescribe a cure or recommendations for the problem. The Commission concluded that blatant White racism was the single aggravating factor for the collective problems.

    The Kerner report’s findings required that the U.S. Government abandon it’s condoning of open, blatant forms of racism to control and maintain White dominance. This abandoning of dated tactics led to the need for developing an improved method of controlling and suppressing its Black population.  Changing times made it necessary for the U.S. government to change its methods to a much more subtle and socially acceptable means of continuing its racial suppression of Blacks and to maintain its White dominance.  Clearly, the sophisticated method of psychological warfare met such a need.  It was the logical choice, perfect for the changing times.  Unlike the blatantly brutal forms of racism used in the past, which Blacks were able to identify easily and therefore unify and form counter strategies, this modern method of racism works from a psychological perspective. This provided the U.S. government a more socially acceptable method of continuing the White racial hierarchy for dominance and control given that it is not as easily recognized.  This new method exists in the space between overt racism and racial respect.  Its methods include the ability to both influence the national climate and engender personal psychological feelings among Americans that meet the U.S government objective. 

     

        The basis of this concept of mind manipulation is that the human being's most critical aspect is the mind and it works by affecting the unconscious mind through deception. Its weapon is the message that it carries and the way that it adversely affects the targeted recipient group in terms of their behavior. Here is a simplified example of how this is being implemented against African Americans.  Let us, for example, imagine that a crew of people was aboard their own massive ship and that this ship was being shadowed by another neighboring ship that was constantly broadcasting derogatory messages to the first group. Such messages as that their ship was lesser, smaller, not seaworthy, perhaps slowly sinking or that their crew was incompetent and was planning a mutiny.  With time, the group receiving the negative messages, being unable to refute or to confirm these derogatory messages and deficiencies will grow weary and paranoid of the negative messages and will eventually comes to accept these negative assessments of themselves. The perception created by the taunting now unconsciously influences how the taunted group perceives themselves, subsequently causing them to become distrustful of themselves, doubting themselves, hating themselves and, eventually, fighting among themselves. The taunted group may even become so besieged by deep feelings of inadequacy that they may even jump into the sea and attempt to swim towards the taunting ship now believing it to be superior to their own boat even if their own ship was in fact better.

     

    Within a real life setting this mortifying psychological manipulation is precisely what is being done to African Americans through an immense campaign of false derogatory misinformation and false negative media reports, fake news, and statistics that are created by U.S. governmental agencies and then leaked to its collaborators in the news media, which either knowingly or unknowingly carry the stories as their own. These false information about African Americans is then disseminated unrelentingly everywhere; it is deliberately perpetuated through news releases in magazine articles, radio, television, press releases, documentaries, and false census reports perpetuating and framing the myth of Whites’ racial, moral, and ethical superiority over its Black population. However, the weapon is not in how the message is carried, but is instead within the messages that it carries and how these messages affect the targeted recipients.

    The constant relentless bombardment with deplorably negative images of themselves that of which African Americans are so inundated with throughout the media  is a very carefully and deliberately designed psychological conditioning program. It is designed to subject African Americans to seeing, through a controlled national media, only the worst in themselves-- while insinuating that they admire, respect, and trust only Whites. This unrelenting daily assault on the Black psyche is designed to corrupt African Americans’ sense of racial unity and cohesion, mold the character of self-hatred, and engender self-doubt, self-loathing, and distrust among their group.  Many Blacks may even begin to feel that there is something not quite right about their Black humanity. To the detriment of Blacks, this system of applied psychological conditioning has been an extremely effective. It has successfully conditioned many African Americans to accept the dominance of Whites and white institutions over their lives by misleading them to believe that they are, themselves, their own worst enemies, therefore engendering an aberration of internalized self contempt that pulverizes Black unity and halts Black upward mobility.

    Moreover, all African Americans have experienced the burden of this psychological warfare, some more severely than others have.  It is experienced every time we [Blacks] read a newspaper, watch the evening news, enter a classroom, and read its racially biased textbooks.  And while many Black Americans have successfully navigated through the psychology mortifying mine field and have gone on to lead successful, productive lives, but for far too many African Americans this immense devaluation can seem inescapable and tragically, over time, many begin to accept subconsciously and painfully the negative portrayals of themselves. Many also become discouraged by the acceptance that their society is also preconditioned to see the worst in them and that, therefore, if they were ever to gain acceptance, if it is to be won at all, that success would be hard won and likely to manifest negative internalized psychological pain and distress within many African Americans that can take many forms. In fact, this governmental mortifying psychological warfare against African Americans may be the most aggravating, if not core, factor of the national phenomenon of self hatred; loss of educational aspirations; loss of unity, cohesion and racial pride; and fragile psyches of many African Americans today. Moreover, this type of psychological manipulation program has been proven very effective in rapidly destroying a group’s ethical and moral values and cultural norms with regard to violence, brutality, and even murder.  All people are products of cultural conditions and their worldviews operate outside of their level of consciousness. Therefore, no group can be preconditioned to see only the worst in themselves and not exhibit some degree of negative psychological impact.  This mass manipulation program is In fact, so proficient at damaging the Black self-perception that tragically it has become easier for many Blacks to accept derogatory premises of themselves rather than recognizing this program.

     

    This mass psychological conditioning program also significantly influences society as a whole. Its ultimate goal is to foster a consensual national setting of where in which Blacks are more easily divided, exploited and ultimately suppressed. The media’s constant negative imagery of Black Americans is not only fraudulently inaccurate but is actually being done to engender a shift of victimization that changes the root problem of racism in America to be due to Black’s behavior rather than White’s proclivity for racism. Therefore insinuates that America would be a better society as a whole if African Americans were gone, thus engendering increasingly prejudiced distorted perceptions and acrimonious beliefs about African Americans that are designed to makes the nation and the entire world insensitive to their plight, tranquilizes efforts on their behalf, lessens pressure for social change on their behalf and makes any serious criticism of White racism almost impossible today and attempts discourage miscegenation between Blacks and whites.  It also creates a false justification for the legal system’s mistreatment of African Americans. Wherein they are disproportionately incarcerated, given stiffer sentences, and are more likely than other racial groups to be treated brutally, beaten, and fired upon by police officers while they are unarmed. These injustices now goes ignored because the perception has become that it’s all now justified.

    When contempt of Blacks is made to appear to be justifiable, it is the most fiercest and effective type of racism because its witnesses, bystanders, and even world audiences will sit by idly allowing African Americans to be brutally mistreated disproportionately incarcerated under the belief that it is justified.] It also affects attitudes that when enacted through governmental policies, laws, and other legislation actions, serve to ensure that African Americans will not advance. Its effects are manifested in ideas, education, governmental policies, economic stratification, social segregation, housing markets, hiring and promotion practices, psychological issues, and minority access to a variety of social services and opportunity. This campaign successfully stripped African Americans of the national and international support that was acquired during the 1960's civil rights struggles. This anti Black governmental campaign of psychological warfare also creates a false justification for the legal system’s mistreatment of African Americans wherein they are disproportionately incarcerated, given stiffer sentences, and are more likely than other racial groups to be treated brutally, beaten, and fired upon by police officers while they are unarmed. Moreover, some studies have shown that this shift of victimization now reflects increasingly acrimonious beliefs and prejudiced perceptions about and against African Americans that are arguably stronger today than they were after emancipation. 

    The objective of the United States government has always been to maintain its White dominance over its Black population, and clearly, psychological warfare meets this need—because it covertly creates a national climate that allows the government to suppress consensually the advancement of its African American population and to maintain its White dominance and national stability.

           The present despairing state of Black America is neither a baffling phenomenon, nor the result of some innate racial deficiency among Blacks, but is rather, in fact, a deliberate design and out come of a very sophisticated, more detrimental and proficient system of racism t hat has been secretly implemented against African Americans--as a means of maintaining America's white dominance and control. In order to recognize it requires that African Americans                                                                                                                                reexamine some of their most basic beliefs and prior assumptions.  It will also require that African Americans first overcome a psychologically ingrained “White is right” preferentiality that has been thoroughly indoctrinated upon the Black psyche.     [The essential purpose of defining people through the media is to create two sets of consciousness, in other words, to establish two sets of realities. The first set of realities is to put limitations on those defined and create a demarcation to exclude them and constrain them to accept such definition as providence or inevitability. The second set of realities is to subjugate the conscience of the one who defines, in order to create a disposition that justifies or rationalizes his actions, however contrary to reason they are, for example the mistreatment of others —the people they have defined.

    The definition of people by other people has fundamental implications. Definitions such as “race” establish attitudes of racial superiority and inferiority, prejudice and bigotry. These attitudes ultimately evolve into an institutionalized system of discrimination, exclusion, deprivation, and oppression; based on superficial and imposed qualities or characteristics such as skin color, other racial definitions and sentiments associated with race definition—superiority and inferiority complex, prejudice and bigotry. Through the ages, definition has been used as an instrument of domination, exclusion, and oppression.

    Such definitions also bring about racial and cultural aggression, all of which are highly destructive to the people so defined. This is particularly true of African Americans, who have experienced extreme cases of the impact of definitions that inspired and established racism and cultural aggression towards them.

    Historically, the definition of people, such as race or race definition, constitutes a system of special privileges and benefits. It guarantees psychological, symbolic, and material rewards for those who have successfully defined others as to exclude those they have defined from the benefits of privilege. It also guarantees special privileges to those included, by reason of based on the object of definition, for example skin color, ethnicity, etc. In essence, the purpose of defining people is to establish a system of privilege, designed to exclude or include them.

    Definition has been used and is still being used as a servo and strategy to divide, exploit, and destroy people. Such is the color complex associated with dark skinned people, particularly Africans. Increasingly, poor and low wage working “class” of people are subjected to similar treatments, albeit without the destructive power of the presuppositions that inhabit racial definitions. ]

    Comfort

     

    The love of God enfolds me and my loved ones.

     

    When I am in need of comfort, I turn to the indwelling presence of God. As I take a deep breath in, I feel the love of God enfolding me.

     

    As I breathe out, I experience a feeling of peace, which relaxes me. And I know: God is always with me and with those I hold dear. I rest for a moment in the awareness of God's presence.

     

    Deep in my heart, I feel assured that those dear to me are enfolded in God's love now and forever. Neither distance, nor death, nor circumstances can separate us from the presence of God.

     

    I lift my thoughts to the truth of God's ever-present love, and I am comforted.

• Why Michael Jackson Went Globa

    What about the face of Michael we didn't like. Rev. Al Sharpton had it right. Michael Jackson wasn't strange.
    
    Prior to the death of Michael Jackson, you rarely heard any Michael Jackson songs on the radio. One of the albums that deserved more air play was Invincible, released in 2001. My favorite tracks from the album are "Butterflies" written by Marsha Ambrose from Floetry, "Break of Dawn", and "You Rock My World" featuring an intro by Chris Tucker. Kudos to 96.3 WHUR in Washington, DC. They were really the only station that gave those tracks any significant airplay. For the most part Black radio and mainstream media in America abandoned Mike.
    
    Overall, Michael became less popular in this country the last ten years of his life, while he continued to maintain popularity around the world. Americans generally thought he was weird. Some may say because he began whitening his skin, the African American community stopped buying his records and supporting him. Or maybe it was the accusations of child molestation that caused his popularity to suffer. One thing for sure, if you don't get radio airplay or video plays it's hard to get record sales.
    
    Maybe corporate radio followed the dictates of the record companies and simply stopped giving his records spins. At the time of the release of "Invincible", if you recall, Michael accused Sony Records and its president Tommy Mattola of racism, think about that for a second, and said he was a devil, because they did not promote the album. He even called on Rev. Al Sharpton to set up a protest and demonstrations at Sony Records in New York. So I ask, what's a recording artist to do to keep themselves popular in the world of entertainment. You do what you deem as necessary. In recent years, we've heard stories of Michael trying to recapture his American audience. We've heard he was seeking advice from everyone from Prince to T.I.
    
    Many in the U.S. look at Michael Jackson as wacky because of the many plastic surgeries he had and of the skin whitening. More specially, African Americans perceived the changes in his features as self-hatred. In this country, skin color is such a politically and socially charged issue we expect the world to take it as serious as Americans do. But that's simply not the case. Michael took a look outside of the United States of America and began to play to a global audience, a world stage if you will. Not to suggest that a "whiter" apearance was Michael's ultimate plan, but let's be real, it didn't hurt.
    
    After the success of the "Thriller" album, the world was ready for more of Michael Jackson. He was determined to become the greatest entertainer the world had ever seen. While Michael's skin condition worsened, he hid it with dark glasses and sparkling military attire which included his infamous glove. The quirkiness of his personality became more apparent and his inability to maintain a private life disappeared. Michael did suffer from the skin condition vitiligo. He also used make-up, bleaching and chemical treatments to even out the absence of skin color on portions of his body. Besides who in the entertainment industry hasn't had plastic surgery that sometimes has gone wrong. By the time the "Bad" album was released, Michael Jackson was definitely different. He was playing to a world audience now. U.S. record sales were only a small piece of the pie. World wide concerts were on the horizon. Michael, a Black man, who was losing his color, had gone global and we didn't understand. He was just "weird Mike."
    
    We've seen the videos from countless countries in Europe and Asia, where thousands of people were in near hysteria over his mere presence. We sit back in this country, in amazement at the adoration of these fans. But we must realize, Europeans and Asians are not Americans. We may share music, but cultures around the world are unique and different. Michael made himself relevant on a global scale. Michael was a genius. What we saw as strange, the rest of the world embraced.
    
    Case in point is the world's fascination with white skin. One aspect about Michael's life that was seen as controversial to Americans especially people like Bill O'Reilly. We in this country would be horrified by seeing skin bleaching commercials. But the rest of the world, even in parts of Africa, sees this as normal. We would never see or hear these commercials on radio or TV in America. Obviously, "Say it Loud, I'm Black and I'm Proud" still hasn't reached most of the world.
    
    So let's be clear, it was not appearance, it was talent nurtured in the tradition of African American soul music from singers like Jackie Wilson and James Brown and nothing else, that caused Michael's star to soar. Which makes him not only a Black icon, but the quintessential World Superstar.
    
    Michael Jackson was built to entertain. What a sacrifice he made to entertain. A sacrifice that included his childhood. So I don't judge Michael Jackson for the choices he made in his life when compared to the humanitarian contributions he made to this world.
    
    In death, maybe we need to think differently or have another perspective about Michael, as Berry Gordy so eloquently put it at the memorial service on Tuesday; he was more than the King of Pop, he was the greatest entertainer the world has ever known. He was brilliant. For that Michael Jackson paid a price we may never understand.

    What Does A Brother Have to Do?  In Defense of Joe Jackson

    In the wake of Michael Jackson’s sudden tragic death and the incessant media over-coverage thereafter, several themes have taken root that I for one am tired of hearing.  There is the constant questioning of what will happen to his children, and the state of his finances at the time of his death.  It is highly questionable whether these matters warrant such attention from the public or a responsible news media.  However, the one subject that I am most tired of hearing about is the criticism railed against his father, Joe Jackson.  It’s time for a reality check America.  Joe Jackson is a hero who should be extolled as such, and not derided so cavalierly as has been done by media over the last week, and even over several decades

     

    We are living in a time when only three of ten African-American children born are born into married two parent homes.  Our social landscape is replete with statistics and evidence of the consequence of missing fathers.  Social service networks have been established by federal, state, and local governments, as well as by private endowments to address the consequences of fatherless homes.  Then there is Joe Jackson, a man born in 1920’s Arkansas, long before Black was beautiful, and before Brown v Board of Education outlawed legal segregation in America, and long before an African-American was assured the right to vote in this nation.  At some point like many men, Joe embarked on his own life and love story.  He married Katherine, and they had dreams, and over approximately a 25 year period, had nine children, several of whom would become among the most renown in the world in their field of endeavor.

     

    Like so many African-American men born in the same period, Joe at some point decided that his life chances and that of his family would be better served if he moved from the American south to its industrial north.  So, he moved his family to Gary, Indiana, not a place for the faint of heart.  Joe took care of his wife and children by working as a welder in one of Gary’s steel mills.  In other words, he carried around a torch while working in a furnace to sustain his family. 

     

    At some point in the mid-1960’s, Joe discovered that his five sons seemed to possess the vestige of what appeared to be real talent, so he worked them to develop it.  Soon thereafter, the world saw what he had seen, and the rest as is often said is history, literally.  His children made history.  Among their achievements, they were the most successful “child” act in the history of American music, and one of them sold the most albums that any single album ever sold, among his other astronomical achievements, including signing the biggest record contract in the history of the music business.  Another of his children, the baby girl, became for a time the most successful female recording artist of her time, and eclipsed her brother in signing at the time the largest contract in music history.  This doesn’t happen in a vacuum people.  Fathers either make a difference or they don’t America.  You can’t have both ways.  In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s when Gary, Indiana was for several years the murder capital of the United States, Joe Jackson’s children, due in large measure to his efforts, had long since left their native city and its peril and were safely ensconced in Santa Barbara and other parts of southern California, with two of them reigning as the top male and female entertainers in the world.

    In case you think that all of the family success happened due purely to the talent of the children, you should recall that in the mid-1970’s, Motown had all but written the Jackson family off, essentially saying that they had reached their peak and had no more left.  It was Joe Jackson, who wrestled with one of the legendary lions of show business and the Motown empire, and moved his still growing children to another record label, Columbia/Epic.  There, the success continued for the group and of course for Michael individually.  If further evidence is needed of dad’s role in the success of even his most successful child, it is found in a legendary story in music industry circles about events that led to the making of “Thriller”.  After Michael had sold an astounding eleven million copies of his album “Off The Wall”, it appeared that Epic still hadn’t seen enough and pretty much discounted him.  It was Joe, again wrestling with an industry titan, who went to the top executives of the label and advised them that they had violated Michael’s contract by failing to provide label support as required by the contract and threatened to leave the label.  Embarrassed and panicked, label executives scurried to find a way to resolve this potentially disastrous situation.  The result was an agreement for the largest pre-release marketing budget the label had ever undertaken, and again, the rest is history.

     

    We’ve heard the stories that raise the question of whether Mr. Jackson’s discipline of his children rose to the level of abuse. However, as it has often been said, “the proof of the cook is in the pudding”.  It would appear that Joe’s pudding turned out pretty good.  Joe Jackson pushed his children to work, in a period when black children were admonished by wise elders that “you have to work twice as hard to get half as far”.  In reflecting on their achievements, his children have been cited in media quoting Joe’s lesson on work ethic, “plan your work and work your plan”.   Joe Jackson raised his children when neither America or the world cared much about the fate of little African-American (Negro for accuracy sake) children, the time of “spare the rod, spoil the child”, “ a child left to himself bringeth his mother shame”, and “children should be seen and not heard”.  But his children were seen and heard by the world.  The wine and cheese set of today can now see the world through enlightened 2009 eyes; but, it was a different world then, and in the face of every conceivable institutional obstacle, Joe Jackson created a family that impacted the world. 

     

    Long before “Thriller”, Joe Jackson’s children were heroes when they were still children.  At a time when it was rare to see African-Americans on television in any capacity, they made countless appearances on the top variety shows of the time, including the king of them all, The Ed Sullivan Show, and perhaps most impressive, they were presented to the world in a cartoon series in the early 1970’s, even before the iconic Bill Cosby’s Fat Albert.  There were no Black children on television at the time, as heroes or otherwise; but Joe Jackson’s children were.  They were on television commercials selling cereal, and the lunch boxes that America’s children carried to school.  Unlike other major child stars, his children were not in trouble, and did not disintegrate after the prime of their careers.  Joe was never a stage father.  Over the 45 year period where his children have been stars in the public eye, you rarely, if ever saw him on camera, and certainly did not hear from him.  Unlike celebrity parents of today, he did not seek to impose his presence in his children’s celebrity, no celebrity tell alls, no public feuds, no reality show.  He has comported himself with honor and dignity.

    In the face of all that we have seen in America about missing fathers, this father achieved miracles, and is still in the lives of his children, most of whom are now over 50 years old.  Just prior to his death, Michael Jackson met with concert promoters attempting to resolve a dispute that threatened to stop his London comeback shows.  Who was at that meeting with him, his father, Joe.  After 45 years dwelling in the highest echelons of show business, dad was still by his side. 

     

    America, there are no Ward Cleavers, and the quest for this false image has contributed to an array of social dysfunction over many generations looking for this idyllic father figure.  Fathers, like all people are imperfect; but when we find one worthy of praise, we should take note and celebrate.   As the world mourns the loss of Joe’s son, Michael, there are two African-American sisters playing each other on center court for the championship of the premier Grand Slam event in tennis for the fourth time.  Their father has noted that he was motivated by the success of the Jackson children, and like Joe, saw the potential in his children and worked them to develop it to world class talent.  Like Joe Jackson, he too is much maligned.  But in part because of Joe, his daughters and other Black children, a fellow named Woods (whose father was also ridiculed) comes to mind, are changing the world.  Joe, I salute you.  You have helped change the world!  What else can a brother do?

While the people of the country starved and lost jobs. These master of hate who turned government into the own playground for profit, And call themselves, Conservatives and Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats and tell you that less government is better, while she becomes their private whore. We had a candidate for the Vice presidency of the United States and she could not discern that it is no difference from a Jihadist terrorist and one who kills abortion doctors. They reapeatly say this is a Christian nation. This is suppose to be a nation of religious freedom. Is this not the lie that was told through history, that they fled England to be free to worship as they saw fit. That was the reasoning behind the separation of church and state. The rethugs continually intertwine religion and politics  and hate. They live in some kind of alternate  reality (The Real America). The one in their own minds, The ones that Rush Limbaugh and Hannity and Beck spin for them. The Pat Buchanan’s and their like. The puppet Toms and Tomettes that they have still sharing the house with them. They won’t admit that the whole that makes up the Rethugs  party is a joke and they never had a clue how to make the country work for anyone but that 1%, Some are still under the illusion that these people as a group know what morals are. At Ann Coulter’s mother and father funerals all she talked about was the Democrats, and hawking her books, Bristol Palin an unwed mother held up to be somebody. The exposure of all of this is a plus. We can now identify the Haters and their enabler’s. Like Alan Keys, Michael Steel and it seems the entire repugnant party. And we should always  be diligent in calling them out.

    Dear God,

    Storms sometimes come in the form of outer conditions and challenges. Then there are internal storms as well that cause us to question or to doubt. When the winds of changes blow and howl, I consciously turn my attention to Your still small voice which reminds me of Your love and peace.

     

    In the face of every storm I draw upon my faith to speak the words. “Quiet! Be still.” I know that storms will come and go but Your presence within me abides forever.

    Your love, Holy One, is the eye in the midst of every storm.

     

    I am at peace right here and right now.

    Back in April, there was a huge fuss over an internal report by the Department of Homeland Security warning that current conditions resemble those in the early 1990s — a time marked by an upsurge of right-wing extremism that culminated in the Oklahoma City bombing.

    Conservatives were outraged. The chairman of the Republican National Committee denounced the report as an attempt to “segment out conservatives in this country who have a different philosophy or view from this administration” and label them as terrorists.

    But with the murder of Dr. George Tiller by an anti-abortion fanatic, closely followed by a shooting by a white supremacist at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the analysis looks prescient.

    There is, however, one important thing that the D.H.S. report didn’t say: Today, as in the early years of the Clinton administration but to an even greater extent, right-wing extremism is being systematically fed by the conservative media and political establishment.

    Now, for the most part, the likes of Fox News and the R.N.C. haven’t directly incited violence, despite Bill O’Reilly’s declarations that “some” called Dr. Tiller “Tiller the Baby Killer,” that he had “blood on his hands,” and that he was a “guy operating a death mill.” But they have gone out of their way to provide a platform for conspiracy theories and apocalyptic rhetoric, just as they did the last time a Democrat held the White House.

    And at this point, whatever dividing line there was between mainstream conservatism and the black-helicopter crowd seems to have been virtually erased.

    Exhibit A for the mainstreaming of right-wing extremism is Fox News’s new star, Glenn Beck. Here we have a network where, like it or not, millions of Americans get their news — and it gives daily airtime to a commentator who, among other things, warned viewers that the Federal Emergency Management Agency might be building concentration camps as part of the Obama administration’s “totalitarian” agenda (although he eventually conceded that nothing of the kind was happening).

    But let’s not neglect the print news media. In the Bush years, The Washington Times became an important media player because it was widely regarded as the Bush administration’s house organ. Earlier this week, the newspaper saw fit to run an opinion piece declaring that President Obama “not only identifies with Muslims, but actually may still be one himself,” and that in any case he has “aligned himself” with the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

    And then there’s Rush Limbaugh. His rants today aren’t very different from his rants in 1993. But he occupies a different position in the scheme of things. Remember, during the Bush years Mr. Limbaugh became very much a political insider. Indeed, according to a recent Gallup survey, 10 percent of Republicans now consider him the “main person who speaks for the Republican Party today,” putting him in a three-way tie with Dick Cheney and Newt Gingrich. So when Mr. Limbaugh peddles conspiracy theories — suggesting, for example, that fears over swine flu were being hyped “to get people to respond to government orders” — that’s a case of the conservative media establishment joining hands with the lunatic fringe.

    It’s not surprising, then, that politicians are doing the same thing. The R.N.C. says that “the Democratic Party is dedicated to restructuring American society along socialist ideals.” And when Jon Voight, the actor, told the audience at a Republican fund-raiser this week that the president is a “false prophet” and that “we and we alone are the right frame of mind to free this nation from this Obama oppression,” Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader, thanked him, saying that he “really enjoyed” the remarks.

    Credit where credit is due. Some figures in the conservative media have refused to go along with the big hate — people like Fox’s Shepard Smith and Catherine Herridge, who debunked the attacks on that Homeland Security report two months ago. But this doesn’t change the broad picture, which is that supposedly respectable news organizations and political figures are giving aid and comfort to dangerous extremism.

    What will the consequences be? Nobody knows, of course, although the analysts at Homeland Security fretted that things may turn out even worse than in the 1990s — that thanks, in part, to the election of an African-American president, “the threat posed by lone wolves and small terrorist cells is more pronounced than in past years.”

    And that’s a threat to take seriously. Yes, the worst terrorist attack in our history was perpetrated by a foreign conspiracy. But the second worst, the Oklahoma City bombing, was perpetrated by an all-American lunatic. Politicians and media organizations wind up such people at their, and our, peril.

    Extreme right-wing talking heads have blood on their hands and I’m mad as hell.  My anger is spilling out in the form of two questions that I’m not sure can be answered. My first question is, where were the Feds who should have been monitoring convicted felon James Von Brunn, the 88 year old white supremacist who went to the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C this past Wednesday and opened fire, killing Mr. Stephen Tyrone Johns, a security guard who gave his life to protect the lives of people who were visiting the museum?  My second question is, where were the moderate right-wingers (including the killer’s wife) who personally knew this angry old man and could have warned local and federal authorities that a crazed extremist (who some moderate right-wingers probably placated as a “soldier” in their anti-Obama, anti-government campaign), was on the verge of killing innocent people?

     

    Enough is enough. The Limbaughs, Hannitys, Bachmanns and thousands of others like them (including the house negroes Keyes and Steele) who fit the bill for spreading hate and fear on airwaves and cyber space should all be put on notice by the Feds that their anti-government rhetoric has crossed a line which will no longer be tolerated.  I’m quite sure that somewhere on the “legal books” there has to be a federal law that prohibits the incitement of hate and violence.  If there isn’t such a law, then let’s get one passed by congress.  I am so personally sick of hearing about crazies who claim that they are angry because “White people are losing their rights” and that “White people are an endangered species in America”.  For White folk who have this irrational phobia - and I’m only addressing those White folk with this phobia, “Get the freak over it”.  This ain’t the land of Ozzie and Harriet anymore. Wally Cleaver was a weak athlete, Kato is no longer the Green Hornet’s driver and Black, and Brown Americans no longer sit at the back of the bus unless we want to!

     

    For the crazies who think that they have it bad, a little “food for thought”, - If the national unemployment rate in America (which is supposedly one of the factors that has driven “Angry White Americans” over the edge), is close to 10%, then what is the unemployment rate for Black and Brown Americans?  

     

    I’m not one to advocate violence but I think that there are far more Marcus Garvey’s and Malcolm X’s in the United States today in 2009 than there are Dr. King’s and Mahatma Ghandi’s.  I apologize if I sound disrespectful to the memory of Dr. King; I mean no disrespect to the great MLK or his legacy, however, just like the fictional character “Virgil Tibbs” from the 1967 movie “In the heat of the night”, if “an adversary” has the nerve to slap my face, then that adversary should expect a stronger backhand to immediately come across their face.  Case closed.  But before I go off the deep end, let me state that I know that the crazies want violent confrontation.  I know this.  Why do you think that they’re always crying about the right to bear arms? Folks, we Americans and I mean all Americans need to sit up and take notice.  The crazies are desperate and they feel cornered.  They are beside themselves that America has evolved and they are livid because opportunities that were once reserved solely for White folk are rapidly disappearing. 

     

    The best way to defeat these “rats” who feel that their backs are up against the wall, is to demand that local and federal law agencies do everything that they can to stamp out hate groups.  Flood your local and national newspaper editors with phone calls and emails that express your concern with right-wing nuts like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin (poor Michelle, she’s an Asian who has obviously played with too many blonde Barbie dolls).  Americans, Stop buying the merchandise that is sold by sponsors who pay the salaries of these nuts.  Organize.  Make some noise and stand up and be heard.  My Lord, these fools honestly think that it’s 1939 and we’re living in “Old Dixie”.       

     

     

    In closing, I’d like to leave you with the words from a song written by Stevie Wonder for the reggae band “Third World” entitled, “You're playing us too close” which I’m dedicating to all those angry White folk who think that through gutless acts of terrorism, that they will be able to intimidate Black, Brown and Jewish Americans. – “Jobless people starving babies spreading over the land.  More oppression to the have nots is how you play your hand. More world fighting is the writing from those say they know, and if that's true we know just who you'll be picking to go, but the beat you are playing to what Jah is saying is wrong, and we do recommend that you stop before it's too far gone.  And I just got to say you're playing us too close”.

    President Obama – A Night In Cairo

     

     

    When President Obama gave his historic speech at the University of Cairo last week in Egypt, he established in the minds of people that were in the audience, including the minds of people worldwide, that his administration is truly committed to condemning and preventing hatred and ignorance that tramples the human rights of both Arab and Jew.  All too often because of fear of reprisal from American Jewish voters, past American administrations have been unwilling or at best hesitant in making an effort to win the hearts and minds of Arabs by championing Arab rights, in particular, the human rights of the Palestinian people.

     

    For over six decades American Presidents have had to grapple with promoting the growth of Israel while simultaneously acknowledging that because Israel exists, there are approximately 7.2 million Palestinians who are displaced from their homeland, dispersed all over the world, and stigmatized as a people without a country.  In last week’s speech which was addressed to a predominately youthful Arab audience, President Obama also spoke of the plight of the Palestinian people, stating that mutual distrust and animosity between Arab and Jew must end if conditions for both sides are to ever improve.  Animosity that transforms into hate is the intangible evil that has ultimately challenged the future of young Arabs and young Jews.  Consequently, President Obama condemned the extremist groups on both sides that promote revenge, death and terror. It is clear that before any meaningful peace talks can occur, both sides must whole heartedly agree that both Jew and Arab can co-exist as neighbors.  The key to this co-existence is the creation of a Palestinian homeland that is governed democratically by the people of Palestine.  Additionally, as noted by the President, it is imperative for Arabs and Muslims to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist and Israel’s right to prosper.  What has appeared to be some source of anger for some Jews was the President’s insistence that Israel stop the further development of Jewish settlements in Gaza, which in the viewpoint of most Arabs, only adds to the problem of establishing a legitimate Palestinian State.

     

     

    Throughout the President’s speech the audience was receptive to his ideas and his vision.  It can be argued that the reason why these young Brown skinned people were so in tuned to his words is that this tall and elegant man that spoke before them was a mirror image of themselves.  It is my opinion that the individuals in the audience were in awe of the man and in awe of this historic moment and because of the President’s early upbringing in Indonesia, which is a Muslim country, he was able to speak with a respectfulness and accuracy in regard to Islam and Muslim history that came across the audience as being both legitimate and genuine.  On the front of women’s rights, while taking advantage of his opportunity to address potential future leaders of the Muslim world, the President made it quite clear that a Muslim society that denies Muslim women the opportunity to receive an education is a society that will never reach its fullest potential.

     

    Trusting the United States and the West to be fair towards Arab issues, is a major problem for Muslims worldwide and in an attempt to demonstrate his administration’s commitment to “transparency”, the President discussed how in 1953, the United States with the assistance of the CIA, illegally organized a coup which ultimately disposed Iran’s nationally elected Prime Minister, Mohammad Mossadegh. Mossadegh would later be replaced by the U.S. and British backed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi as the Shah of Iran.  Never before had a U.S. President openly admitted that the United States had been actively involved in the toppling of another country’s government.  Although the revelation made by President Obama was profound in the sense of transparency, it was not the President’s intent as he spoke to the crowd, to be the “supreme apologist” (as suggested by most Republicans) for our country’s past mistakes; rather, President Obama wanted the Muslim world to know that even though the United States is a great and benevolent country, we too bare some of the responsibility for issues of distrust that currently exist between the West and some countries in the Middle East. 

     

    In closing, it is my opinion that the greatest accomplishment made in President Obama coming to Cairo, was speaking in person to a young Arab audience.  In doing do, President Obama has given many in the audience the opportunity to make an intelligent decision on whether they will take their lead from a man that promulgates hate and death, and by the way, hides in the deepest caves of Pakistan / Afghanistan or will they take their lead from a man that offers peace and reconciliation, and who by the way, isn’t afraid to show his face, even in places where he may not be loved.        

     

    Although the President’s speech was not intended to be the “Be all / End all” speech that will bring lasting peace between the West and the Middle East, it did set the tone of what the world can expect of President Obama’s administration as the President takes a more active role in establishing a balance between protecting Americans and being a friend and ally to both Jew, Arab and perhaps Persian.
