This song is really about acheiving your personal American dream, whatever that may be. The message I am trying to get across is this: don't ever let anyone's negativity get between you and your dream. You can do anything if you put your mind to it, as long as you stay positive.

your dream, daring, hoping, and reaching higher. We all need some
inspiration in our lives, whether it's getting through a tough day, or
trying to achieve your goals. I am so blessed to have people around
me that always encourage me to strive for my dreams, even when I get
weary and discouraged at times. I wanted to write words of inspiration
that could help uplift someone else if they ever started feeling the
way I have felt at times. I think we all have the ability to keep

"Higher" is a song about conquering obstacles while trying to live out the American dream. The best in us is only revealed when we strive to sore higher no matter what the odds. The featured video expresses my interpretation of the American dream, which is the pursuit of happiness through my family, my two beautiful daughters and loving friends. My life has been plagued with countless trials and tribulations. However, I dare to dream higher and have always believed in myself. I have kept faith that nothing is impossible.
