A) My name is Kurt Rowedda, I am 51 years old. I live in Marion, Ohio. I have Cerebral Palsy affecting my right side. I have a 19 year old daughter that lives in Chicago, where she is going to college. I started working at the age of 6, mowing lawns. When I graduated high school, I went into the trucking business with my father which I did until I was 30, (I could no longer take the physical pounding). I started receiving SSD in 1988. At the age of 31 I got married and a year and a half later Maggie, my daughter was born. I stayed home and raised her, went to preschool and grade school with her as much as the school would let me. In April of this year my wife of 20 years and I started divorce procedures.
B) As Maggie was older in 2007, I started to look for something to occupy my time. The first time I touched a computer was March of 2007. I came across a company that would teach you to build a website. I was very intrigued with the opportunity. In June of 2007 I began. I spent 8 months learning and studying. In this time I slowly began to build the website that is now MaggiesClocks.com. I learned how to build content, home page, sub pages, keywords, article writing and submitting, submitting site to directories, relevent link exchanges, HTML and so much more. I published the website in March of 2008. Still to this day I am still working on the site and still totally fascinated with the internet. MaggiesClocks.com has a Google Page Rank of 2 with 2200 links. It has a monthly traffic rate of about 2000 and 12-15 sales monthly, all of which are organic searches. After learning about the process of Site Build It, the limited success I have had is due to working harder not smarter. The people I learned from didn't teach and stress the importance of procedure that Site Build It does. Mon
C) The steps and thoroughness of the information at first seem a little overwhelming, but is definitely needed to succeed. Researching the potental profitabillity is invaluable. The teaching method of the video and lecture are wonderful tools. When beginning the content building to drive traffic to the website is the most important aspect. To me the brainstorming is the most useful and fascinating tool I have seen, it is worth its weight in gold. Choosing a domain name and when to choose it, is also very valuable. Site Build is the most comprehensive training, I believe for building a successful and profitable website.
D) I will study and research using Brainstorming to find Keywords for the niche that would be profitable for the topic I choose for my website. It will be a topic I am knowledgeable about and can write about with ease. I will do research to learn more about my topic and to be able to get useable and relevant content. I will grow my traffic by using content potential customers will want, thus creating a trust factor for further growth. The theme of the website will be broken down into sub pages using single Keywords to rank higher in search engines organically for more traffic.
E) It will enable me to become self sufficient, where I am not dependent on other people. I never thought of myself as dependent on anyone else, until my wife left and filed for a divorce. I only receive $488.00 a month after Medicare deduction. Winning the Site Build It prize will enable me to build a website the correct way to make it profitable enough to not only support just myself, but make me able to help my daughter get through school. It would also help to enhance the quality and profit with my current website. When the house I currently live in is sold or foreclosed I will have to move to Illinois, where my brother lives so I can make a new start for myself with a little help from him. Although I am grateful for my his help, I don’t want to become dependent on him. Having a website would allow to essentially be able to live anywhere. I plan on working on the website as much as I need to, to make sure it is high ranking in Google, Yahoo and MSN and moving forward. The knowledge I have now with the information and training from Site Build It I beleive I could leap frog a website into profitability much quicker. When it gets to the point it makes more money than S.S. allows, I would then be able to not have to draw S.S. anymore and become completely independent.
Those of you out there that already have a web site up and running maybe we can help each other....
Here is what I am thinking we all earn money various ways on the internet some of us are affiliates, some of us set up individual agreements with other web sites and some of run ads - maybe we can figure out a way to work together.
For instance I am an affiliate for Amazon.com BUT Amazon will not pay me if I click on one of my ads and purchase a product and I buy monthly from them. But one of you may have an affiliate link to Amazon.com that I would be happy to click on each month and YOU would earn the affiliate income.
Another example is that I earn money for getting people to sign up for an eco-tips newsletter maybe some of you out there could sign up and help me earn some extra cash.
Let’s all brainstorm and come up with a list of affiliate links, newsletter signups etc… and help each bring in some extra cash this New Year!
If you are interested just leave a comment at the bottom with your information and I will edit this blog to include any affiliate links or information you would like to include.
You may want to include:
1) Your name
2) web site name and address
3) description of web site
4) affiliate programs and links
Hey just a thought maybe we can start a directory of sorts.............
Also to anybody that has a current web site I have a fantastic list of tips that can help you drive more traffic to your site just drop me a note on my Bio Page or email me directly via my web site and I will send it right out.

Any of you out there with a web site that are looking for an additional way to monetize you should consider in-text advertising. I have tried a few companies and infolinks.com by far pays the highest in the industry. It is the same company that I recommended to Brian to use on The Disability Digest and yes I get a commission but I sure as heck wouldn't reccomend them unless they were a great company.

My personal experience with Lupus;
I have suffered with Lupus since "1995". Unfortunantely, autoimmune diseases run in my family. My mom, sister, aunts and cousins all suffer from various autoimmune diseases. I was diagnosed with discoid lupus(skin lupus) in "1995" and with systemic lupus in "2005". My skin lupus produces rashes on different parts of my body. The rashes usually occur once or twice a year or not at all. The last rash I had occurred in "2006". My rashes do not really itch, but they can cause scarring. I usually treat the rash with a cortizone cream. The systemic lupus I suffer with can cause pain, swelling and tiredness. Everyday is a different day for me. I never know how I'm going to feel from day to day. Most people that I know and sometimes people I don't know tell me I look GOOD to be suffering with an autoimmune disease. Well, looks can be deceiving. No one ever told me that auto immune diseases have a "look". I may look good on the outside, but my body is fighting itself inside. This results in pain, swelling and tiredness most of my days. Not to mention the side effects from the medications that my body has to deal with.
Before I was diagnosed with Lupus, my mom would complain about her auto immune disease on a daily basis. She would complain about pain, stiffness and tiredness and also side effects from her medication. I used to say to myself it can't be that bad. I will admit, I thought she was complaining unnecessarly. Now that I have an auto immune disease, I know that was not the case. She was complaining because this disease is no joke. I would not wish this disease on my worst enemy. Everyday, I am in some level of pain. Some days are much worse than others, but I continue on my journey to live my life the best way that I can.
What's my next step with this disease? My goal is to try natural remedies to treat this disease. My mom is currently getting chiropractic care for her auto immune disease and she is starting to see positive results in reducing her pain and swelling only after one month. I also want to eat all organic foods. I must avoid pesticides that are sprayed on foods. I'm allergic. Massage therapy at least twice a month would be nice and getting more into natural herbs.

Introduction to Lupus
Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can affect various parts of the body, including the skin, joints, heart, lungs, blood, kidneys and brain. Normally the body's immune system makes proteins called antibodies, to protect the body against viruses, bacteria, and other foreign materials. These foreign materials are called antigens.
In an autoimmune disorder like lupus, the immune system cannot tell the difference between foreign substances and its own cells and tissues. The immune system then makes antibodies directed against itself. These antibodies -- called "auto-antibodies" (auto means 'self') -- cause inflammation, pain and damage in various parts of the body.
Inflammation is considered the primary feature of lupus. Inflammation, which in Latin means "set on fire," is characterized by pain, heat, redness, swelling and loss of function, either on the inside or on the outside of the body (or both).
For most people, lupus is a mild disease affecting only a few organs. For others, it may cause serious and even life-threatening problems. Although epidemiological data on lupus is limited, studies suggest that more than 16,000 Americans develop lupus each year.
The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) estimates between 1.5 - 2 million Americans have a form of lupus, but the actual number may be higher. More than 90 percent of people with lupus are women. Symptoms and diagnosis occur most often when women are in their child-bearing years, between the ages of 15 and 45.
In the United States, lupus is more common in African Americans, Latinos, Asians, and Native Americans than in Caucasians.

Hi again!
It is May now and I am still struggling with all of my illnesses.
I am frustated with myself, I guess it is because I feel that I am not accomplishing anything.
I have yet found a job that I can do at home and it not having to do with selling anything.
Finances for our family have been hard. I know that so many people are also going to difficult times. But, when it is your own life that you are struggling with and trying to survive it is hard to thing about anyone elses. I have family that are going through hardships and it pains me that I can not help them with anything. I always pray for help like helping to have the ability to focus and remember long enough to look for something that can bring money in to our home plus to be able to help my family. I pray to make it another day. By that I feel so ashamed to say that I do think of sucide at times when I am in so much pain and my depression and anxiety is at it peek. But, most of the time I don't want to wake up or at least get out of bed. I do feel worthless, that I a burden to my family. I do keep on moving or at least trying.
I have been taking some organic pruducts for the inflammation in my body and it has helped with some of it along with some naturalpathic pain treatment. I have been having so much foot pain lately. It makes it so very painful for me to walk. I wonder, is this related with fibromyalgia? I been mentioning it to my doctor and he believes that it might. He tells me that he will look it up and see if there are stretches I can do that may help. I feel so bad for him because I feel I gave him so much to deal with. I do have faith in him that he will do everything that he can to help me.
My health insurance with the state will run out soon and I am afraid that I will be stuck with no insurance. I am looking for good insurance that is not so exspensive ( I can not remember the spelling) I feel so dumb. So now my husband will be trying pay for all of my visits and meds for all the doctors that I see. Does anyone have any advice on what we can do or any info on insurances? Well, by boys are getting so excited now that school is almost over and it is starting to feel like summer is already here.
I better go, until next time!
