The music industry in Ghana has a low record of females who do a blend of R&B, Hiplife and Highlife. We can boast of Becca who is more of an R&B singer and Mzbel who does mostly Hiplife. It?s hard to find a female doing all three, namely Hiplife, Highlife and R&B. There is a new voice about to be launched on the radio, a voice of rare talent and perhaps a voice that will change the music scene in Ghana. She is not only filled with a sweet voice but she does what she wants to do and something she says comes to her naturally and that is music. Miss Vida Darko is her name and currently she has ventured into both music and acting. Her artistic name is Veeda and has been singing since she was a child.

Long hailed as South Africa's undisputed Queen of the Vocals, Brenda Fassie first hit the radios and townships of Johannesburg with her tune 'Weekend Special' way back in 1986. Born in Langa, Cape Town, in 1964, Brenda's first musical endeavour was at the age of four, when, inspired by her pianist mother, she formed a singing group. By the time she was 14, she had already moved to Johannesburg to seek her fortune. Using the South Western Townships (Soweto) as her base, Brenda was asked to stand in for an absent member of one of the hotter groups of that era, called Joy. Hers was instant success. Joining two other groups, Blondie and Papa then the Big Dudes in quick succession, it was not long before Brenda was recording her solo debut, 'Weekend Special'. Soon, the song was a hit even in Britain
Part urban singers and part urbane songstresses, sibling duo Brick & Lace are genre-busters who staunchly defy the 30-second pitch. The amalgamated sound that makes up their 180/Geffen debut, Love Is Wicked, is unique, though also at once very familiar.
Barbara Kanam is one of African’s most popular female singers. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Barbara is the third of her father’s 12 children. After her high school education she left her country in 1991 for the University Of Pretoria South Africa, to read Economics. Music took over her at a point and she could no longer concentrate on her studies. She could not graduate from the university because she had lost interest in studying to get her degree. She wanted to make a career from music so she left the University to concentrate on her passion, music.

Jackie Appiah In Heart of Men,
The trailer shows us nothing but sex. I do not get a story per se. But hey, I am curious to know what it is about. All that sex? I do want to just see why Majid allowed his precious but to be in a trailer. They have given all the suspense away by telling us watch out, this is sex galore!!! Yes ohhh, Jackie Appiah is in this, so you know Joy will talk, dissect and yes Joy shall receive abuse from the faint heart-ed and uncivilized. Yes, all of you those who call me names like bitch, witch, ugly are uncivilized. You are welcome to abuse and be harsh but use color.
Michael Jackson - Billie Jean:
News of pop star Michael Jackson's death has been greeted with a mixture of disbelief and sadness across Africa. In Nigeria, a presenter on Radio Continental broke down live on air and could not continue her programme. A woman in Ghana burst into tears in the capital, Accra, when told by a BBC reporter about the musician's death. In 1999, he was presented with a lifetime achievement award by South African icon Nelson Mandela at the Kora All Africa Music Awards. BEEAFRICAN NETWORK INC SALUTE MICHELA JACKSON 1958-2009.
