NO SUNSPOTS: As April begins, the sun has been spotless for 24 consecutiv
e days. How long can the blank spell continue? The longest stretch of blank suns in the past 100 years was 92 days in April, May and June of 1913. To match that streak, today's sun must remain spotless until early June 2009. That's a lot of quiet; stay tuned!

Oh it's snowing up there by then.
:-)
Just kidding.
Asmodai_1, 8 months ago | FlagThanks for the relativelygood news David. You're dead on about Western NY State. The southeaste rn end of the Green Bay in Wisconsin is like that as well :-) You KNEW I was going to get Green Bay in here somehow.
When I was teaching I always put an "extra point" question at the end of each exam and often it was trivia and not related to the subject of the test. Once I asked them to name the Bay on which the city of Green Bay was located...you will not believe the answers I got. Rare among them was "Green".
David_Aldrich, 8 months ago | FlagThey have great summers in Western New York State. Low dew points = low humidity, comfortable due to Lake Ontario's cool water temp.
People up there take WINTER vacations, not summer vacations. The summers up there can be priceless.
