Her native home is the Ukrainian harbor Odessa, full of ships and sailors. Her father was a sea Captain, and maybe because of that tradition, she, Larisa Zemanova, also married a Captain of sea ships. Love at first sight ended up with marriage and brought her to the Czech Republic, at that time former Czechoslovakia, with her son Karel already born. An educated pharmacist without much work experience, she started off working from her new home as a translator, interpreter. After the change of communist regimes in Europe everything in her life had changed too. She divorced her husband; she definitely had not had the best time of her life, with the Russian language starting to “fall into disgrace”, and a sick son. She dived deep inside herself and she found a new source of energy. For 12 years she has been reading cards and after a couple of years she had become better than her mother. Step by step she became an astrologer and card reader. She lives and works in Prague and she has an adult son Karel.
In a family, where the father is always at sea, the women crew must stick together, carrying out all necessary daily tasks and on top of that, managing to have some fun. My mom and grandmother enjoyed themselves by reading cards and predicting the future from coffee sediments. These abilities came from their predecessors from Georgia, the mountain area of the former Soviet Union, and I probably inherited this ability. The most significant person in my life was my father. Because he had wanted to study, he had to disguise his aristocratic origin. I really admired his courage, because of this courage he went through many of life’s tests.
For example, during the Second World War he was last to leave with his battleship when the Germans conquered the city Sevastopol and he was awarded with many outstanding war medals of Honor.
He taught me that I have to be strong and never show tears “You get a hit, you return two”, he used to say. I have to say he was true.
