There are so many of us on this site for an opportunity, and are finding that there is a WORLD of opportunities here.  My name is Christine Messaros and I have learned that my illness is necessary to show that my purpose has much more instrumental advantages than what my life was about before illness.  Obviously it is not pleasant to be disabled and with an illness so poorly misunderstood and not sure if properly diagnosed.  However, support is so key in moving on as we need to in our lives.  I have lived a life thinking the "way" was to work hard and I did for 20 years in the corporate world.  Three years ago the "train" that was bolting down the track that I was strapped onto came to a halting stop.  As a single mom of a 3 yr old wonderful daughter, and no family in the state of Texas, I was beside myself.  Three years with prognosis' repeatedly of "you'll be 100% in months" have fallen but I have not.  Keeping a journal and starting a business (no income yet) was my way to distract myself from my illness.  Now, my hope is to share my journal entries in blogging and hopefully in time I will have a book.  I have poetry that I hope will inspire and most of all if I can contribute to supporting/comforting others struggling, in turn I feel comforted.  You can view my complete blog at http://designyourdestinyonline.blogspot.com and my beginning of a website to start my own business is at www.designyourdestinyonline.com.  Lastly, my hopes are that this world (disability digest) that found me, and shows me such a wonderful oppotunity, allows me to share in giving.
