I was an Energy Rater in California when the concept of energy efficiency home guidelines were first implemented.  I've seen the concept grow from focusing only on HVAC equipment energy ratings to window efficiency and then onto the concept of a HEALTHY HOUSE.  Moving to the Carolinas was a bit of a culture shock when it comes to enviormental issues.  Radon, Lead based Paint, Mold, and Asbestos are issues that can have a serious impact on obtaining a HEALTHY HOUSE.
