Live in Wisconsin.  Just started riding Icelandics.  Love the size.  Love the temperment.  Had many bad experiences many years ago on horses...just started riding again and am taking lessons at a local Icelandic farm.  Doing well so far on what I call a "pokey pony".  on a scale of 1-10, this gelding is a 1.  Perfect for me.  Am thinking of buying him, but would like my dream horse which is a palomino pinto..about 12 or so hands high.  The one I am on now is a bay, and stands over 14 hands.  I would like to do trail riding all year round and continue with lessons.  I would also like to ride bareback.  Have had back surgery 20 years ago, and am a bit afraid of the tolt...the horse I am on now has a choppy tolt which is not great for me.

Am researching info on buying an Icelandic, and am trying not to let my excitement  get the better of me.
