It's been said many times that art is a window to another reality, an escape, or a snapshot of the artist's inner world. While I agree with that, I also think that art is often much more than that - it is an amazing way of enriching our own reality as well, and adding something new to our experience of the world.
What moves me are the strong and intense emotions, good ones as well as bad...I think of painting as of capturing and giving a physical shape to a feeling or a state of mind that might otherwise fade away, bringing it out of the elusive private inner world into the common reality, to be shared with everyone.
I'm a graphic designer/illustrator, and I love exploring different styles of visual art. My main fields of interest are SF and fantasy realm, pop-surrealism, lowbrow, and mythology.
My interests include old legends, folklore, mythical creatures, angels, fairies, dragons, monsters, fantasy and dreamlike landscapes... and I also love drawing and painting portraits and human figures. Most of my works are acrylic on canvas or pastel on paper, but I also use all types of artistic media, including photography.
