Kirby Gray/Health Educator/Community Advocate /Motivational Poet -aka-Dj.Grayface! HIV infection is spread primarily through sexual practices or by sharing needles, (Wake Up!!Music!! & Poetry!!) messages will address these topics. Mr. Gray will introduce how rap and poetry is used to as a form of expression. DJ Grayface will demonstrate this point through 1) sharing his personal experience with rap/poetry and what it means to him as a DJ; and 2) how rap/poetry can help channel thoughts and emotions into lyrics and rhymes. DJ Grayface will assist the students in developing their own "lyrics" to a beat; developing the words/delivery and performing for the "crowd"... At the end of the presentation, the students will be familiar with the various uses of rap/poetry in expressing thoughts and emotions, particularly as it relates to learning to live a safer life and prevention of HIV & STD’s. Mr. Gray utilizes positive musical forms such as rap and poetry and creative writing as a tool to educate and build HIV Awareness to the youth and anyone who will listen.
