Big Brother C J brings over 20 years of experience in radio, television, stage, film and music. Big Brother C J is a three-time "Wammie" (Washington Area Music Association Award) winner. C J's career started as a musician, with more than 40 recordings under his belt, and the leader of C J's Uptown Crew. His band was one of the most popular rythematic groups, famous for their technique of fusing together different genres. CJ and his crew traveled throughout the world while performing for the military, Presidents and various other high profile dignitaries. They were one of the most sought after "Black Tie Optional" R&B bands in the Washington D.C. area. CJ's bigger than life personality, catapulted him into his debut performance in front of the TV camera. C J was featured in New York Billboard Books first book length study of Washington D. C. based music genres. The book, called, The Beat: Go Go's Fusion of Funk and Hip Hop by Kip Lornell and Charles Stephenson, covered some of C J's contributions to the Washington music scene. CJ was also featured in the movie Short Fuse, narrated by the legendary Art Garfunkel. CJ's talents as well as popularity led him to become host of several of his own TV shows. His fans couldn't get enough of that king-sized voice and no one was surprised that his journey led him into the field of broadcast radio. CJ's radio career began in Washington D. C. at WPGC, where he hosted his "C J's Wake Up Show." He was blessed to stay at WPGC for 3 format changes, Hip Hop/Go-Go, R&B, and Gospel before moving to Knoxville, Tennessee to program a Christian format there. In this capacity, C J was able to interview the hottest Christian stars in the industry. Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, LL Cool J, Donnie McClurken, Evander Holifield and Prophetess Juanita Bynum, to name a few.
