Hi Sixtyplusurfers,  I am Barry,  I am 70 years old,  retired  (and enjoying it.)  I was born Just outside Manchester,  but have lived in Devon for the last 29 years.  I went into the army in 1957,  saw active service in Cyprus,  And I  was demobbed in 1960.  I have 2 hobbies at the moment.  1 is growing roses (Im still learning) although I do have a little success with them.  My 2nd hobby is writing poetry.  You may have seen a couple of them here. I`ve had a few published and I am hoping to get a few more published in the near future
