  • My Mother Started It All

I have always loved horses but I am sure it was my mother's influence that got me really involved. If I had lived with my mom all my life I probably would have started a lot sooner. I was 13 years old when she paid for my first riding lessons. I have been riding horses ever since.

    That was 22 years ago.

    How about you?

  • getting into horses

my mother did everything she could to get me out of horses and still does. I have introduced my daughter to riding now and my mom also thinks that is a big mistake (we aren't rich and so are participating in activities "above our station"!) Oh well, I'd rather have a small house and a passion to feed the soul!!

  • I Was Born This Way

I was born a Horse Nut. I lived in the city, so wasn't able to own a horse or even learn to ride until I was an adult with my own money.

When I was still a baby there was an old rag man that came around in a horse drawn cart. My mother told me about how I would just go nuts whenever I heard the "clip, clop" and she would have to take me outside so I could see the horsey.

The best I can explain it is with this quote from Robert Vavra ~ "From my earliest memories, I have loved horses with a longing beyond words."
