Hi. I am new to this board, and new to riding Icelandic horses. I had a number of bad experiences riding 30 years ago because I am intimidated when I am upon a horse. I therefore am not in control...and you know what happens!
I started riding a very gentle Icelandic, and have been taking lessons for two weeks. 22 years ago I had a discectomy on L4/5. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about riding after that kind of surgery? I am really enjoying this riding, and would like to get my own horse, but I am afraid the back thing.
Any info would be appreciated.
