welcome post

I am new to photography,I am using a PanasonicDMC-FZ8.I am normally a big fan of Panasonic generally, however I purchased this camera while shopping at Maceys in New York.I have had a few technical problems with this model.I found that the camera froze,it had jammed,I couldn't use it.But it freed itself, I sent it for an independent  inspection.Panasonic uk didn't want to know as it was from USA,The camera was just outside of its 12 month warranty.Despite contacting Panasonic UK,they just kept hiding behind their warranty rules,no customer service offered here.I have experienced this fault on two other occasions. After a period of time it  clears itself.I can then use the camera as normal.Unfortunatley this knocks ones confidence in this product.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has any ideas as to the fault or likewise you have suffered the same fault.

I use Picasso 3 for photos, just reccently i have uploaded my photos and find that they are duplicated on the computer,is this Picasso at fault or is it a setting on the camera that is responsible for this.Again I would accept any advice or ideas offered.

Thank you

Phil W
