Worst injury cause by our equines friends
my friend came into school today and told me about her riding in the holidays.
she was riding out with her korses owner who was leading Lilly .they came up to a stream and lilly wouldn't go through and kathy was being taken into the river by her horse.so My friend got of and gave conan to kathy so she could lead lilly in. lilly was scared knowcked Alex over and used her as a stepping stone to get across!! apparently
what is the worst thing a horse has ever caused you?
i have never fallen off, been bucked off etc i have only been bitten once by a shetland foal with no or well little baby teeth and have only been stood on once or twice...ma

Tina, 1 year ago | FlagI have had my horse for twenty years he was seven when I brought him he was young he was very fiesty and I think I was to then, however I rode him until four years ago when his COPD forced me to retire him, In all that time I only came off him once when I was jumping no serious injurys except my pride . But I now live in Wales and brought a wonderful Welsh cob(Aimee)she is lush . I have owned her for four years and within the first year I fell off her twice again no serious injurys. I have a 2yr old Archie and whilst taking him for a walk in the forest with Aimee something spooked him and he took of and I had my hand through the loop of the lead rope and you have probly guessed I got dragged, Injurys are pulled the muscle in my shoulder away from the bone and tore the muscle oouuch. Of sick at the moment just had a operaton to repair Morale of this storey NEVER put your hand through the loop of a lead rein as old as I am it happened.T ina -
voicesforhorses, 1 year ago | FlagComming off cannot really be avioded much but the rest, I think on the whole can be. Awareness is the key and I think you have that

voicesforhorses, 1 year ago | FlagI am the same too many to list. Worst accident - I did not walk for 6 months - funniest was being doubled barreled by one horse that sent me flying in to the backside of another (poor thing got such a shock) Both knees have been kicked - so I am a right mess. Interestingly enough once I stopped doing things the way I was being taught and started working 'with' equine behaviour not against it (which I believe is all to common a practice) the ‘accidents ’ have decreased dramatical ly. Your friend was very lucky and this is a typical kind of accident that can be avoided. -
