I would rate last season a 3 on a scale of 1-10. I feel I was born and bred to run the ball and play on offense, but last year we had so many running backs I played mostly on special teams. I contributed, but not the way I want to.

Today I signed my contract, one year for $460,000. I’m still trying to get into that Brandon Jacobs/Derrick Ward pay frame, but to do that I have to earn more carries. My mind state is, every carry I want to try to break it and take it to the house because you never know how many carries you’re going to get.

Even with Derrick in Tampa Bay we still have 3 good running backs so we’ll always have fresh legs on the field. Whoever is hot that day is probably going to stay in the game, that’s how it worked last year and hopefully it will stay that way. When it’s time for camp I’ll be in the best shape of my life so I can make the most of my carries.

I’m glad I have the opportunity to do this blog because I think it’s important for fans to see what’s going on with the team, how everybody’s attitude and confidence are, week to week. Give people a closer look at how everything goes on.

I took a little time off this season but I’ve already started working out again, nothing serious just getting ready for mini camps and off-season workouts.

This season, Giants fans can expect a lot of hard running, a lot of yards after the carry, hopefully a couple of end zone appearances. I’m just going to work hard, play hard when I’m on the field and do the best I can to help the team win.
