When it starts to turn cold and the days get shorter it is the time to ask for donations for those who will be out in the cold while millions of others are tucked away in their warm homes. Well, why not, they pay for it they get to use it and stay warm. Being that we are a capitalistic society still, last time I checked, it is up to others to pay for those who do not have and that is the way it has always been. As a Charity you ask all year long for donations so we will adequate financial resources to reach out and bring warmth and food and clothing etc to those in need. I have to say I am very disappointed in those who throughout the year who promise to help and then do nothing like they never said anything. I find this so relavent in the nonprofit business. There is government employees and managers who do the same thing. They make promises in from of others so they look cool and then when the time comes to ask for what they said they were going to do it does not happen. People it is better not to offer anything if you are not going to follow thru. In our Charity we ask for help for homelss Soldiers who fought for us and we have a hard time getting money, but I see others who ask for help for those who do not even live in this country and millions pour in to feed their hungry. What the HELL, why not take care of the child who is hungry and is going to die in your neighborhood, or the child of a homeless veteran who does not know where his or her next meal will come from, or the wife who is homeless and is trying to take care of herself and her children knowing they can not eat because they do not have any money to buy food. I think it is okay to help those in other countries but you should first help those who were there to help you and your family members and our now in need of help and you have the money because you send thousands overseas. We need to feed more families who have nothing, help us with action not your lame promises that only make you look better or feel better when you are the most fake!
