My first response to this is, YES! Finally, revenge of the fat kids. But to piggy back (pardon the pun) on what Dr. Ian said Monday about the danger we are placing these kids in, we as parents and grandparen
But as much as I enjoy quoting J’s theory it doesn’t always hold up. And the only thing worse than unhealthy overweight
I know it’s easier said than done but think of this statistics

catlady64, 1 year ago | FlagI agree with you about being responsible for making heathier choices. My daughter and I are making simple changes such as eliminatin g candy, sugared drinks, fatty snacks, etc . Walking is the best (and cheapest way) to get daily exercise. What I did not like was Dr. Ian's attitude on air this week. The attitude that he displayed towards the obese family that he saw at the airport security checkpoint disgusted me. He came across as a total a**! My daughter's FORMER pediatrici ans displayed the same disgusting attitude as Dr. Ian towards my child. After I gave the office manager of that practice a piece of my mind, I switched pediatrici ans. They are supportive and don't put my child down. They praise her when she loses ponds and give her constructi ve feedback . They treat my child like a human being and don't turn up their noses at her like her former doctors and Dr. Ian. Yes, we must make better choices but there are so many barriers out there that makes is hard on us who are want to lose weight. We don't need people like Dr. Ian to beat up on us emotionall y. I hope that his self-right eous attitude towards people who are struggleli ng with weight ignore him (and others like him). The LAST thing folks like us need is a doctor who never walked a second in our shoes "turning up his nose in disgust" at fat people. He is no better than anyone else who has berated us because of how we look. We don't need HIM or anyone else bringing us down! I don't need his approval or acceptance and my daughter and I will be ok with the help of God and making better life choices for us!
