Boy that sucked.

Oh well, in the grand scheme of things it's actually a good thing that we lost yesterday to Iowa, to be standing at 8-1 and still in first place in the Big Ten. Let's face it, even if our Spartans went undefeated at the end of the eason, the BCS would likely put some team from North Dakota that plays junior high school opponents in the title game before us.

Who the heck wants to go to Scottsdale for New Year's anyway? I went to the 1988 Rose Bowl in LA, a trip that gave me some of the wildest memories of my life and would love to take my kids there this year. It's still very much in the stars for MSU. To go 11-1 in the regular season and 12-1 overall has never been done at MSU and now your Spartans need your love an support more than ever to help them close out this season strong.

Three-way tie for Big Ten title likely; Here’s how tiebreaker would work

Assuming Michigan State and Wisconsin do not lose again, there will, at worst, be a three-way tie for first place in the Big Ten. Here is how the tiebreakers would work out:

*If MSU and Wisconsin end up tied with Iowa, Michigan State would go to the Rose Bowl.

*If MSU and Wisconsin end up tied with Ohio State, the team rated the highest in the final BCS standings would go to the Rose Bowl.

All of that would change, however, if any of the four teams lost any of the other games on their schedules. Here are the remaining schedules of the four teams still in the hunt for the Big Ten title and a trip to the Rose Bowl.
