- We'd like to highlight for our readers the existence of the Italian Jewish Cultural Center of Calabria. It is led by Rabbi Barbara Aiello (originally from the USA). Rabbi Aiello is the first female rabbi in Italy and a leader in the Progressive Judaism movement there. She has been instrumental in leading efforts in Italy and the US to enable people with Jewish ancestry to re-aquaint themselves with their Judaism.
