Well, this is it. My last Sunday broadcast on Fox 29 will be tonight at 10 O'Clock. It's been a good run...almost like a college education. I want to thank each and every one of you for making it possible. I have more information that I want to share, but I will wait for a more appropriate time. After all, my last day of employment at Fox 29 is not until Friday, October 2nd.
Keep checking the status of www.davidaldrich.com over the next couple of days. Right now, it just shows you my Fox 29 bio. But that will change, too.
Now for the weather...
Sunset tonight is at 6:50 PM for the start of Yom Kippur.
You may want to secure any umbrellas or patio deck furniture that may be susceptible to the wind. Why ? Because...
Windy conditions will move in, especially Monday afternoon, as this storm system pulls away. Note: It will not be very windy when you wake-up tomorrow morning. But those gusts should be increasing by midday. Wind gusts Monday around 40 to 45 mph still seems reasonable to me.
Temperatures will climb back into the mid to upper 70s by Monday at 3 P.M.
Wind gusts on Tuesday should be near 35 mph with highs only in the mid-60s.
It may be time to check your furnace, as temperatures by Thursday, October 1st may struggle to reach the lower 60s for highs, as a deep upper-level Canadian low sits on top of the Eastern Great Lakes for several days.
