    • Please!

    • Please give my fellow fish, frogs and turtles a good home to live in. While we require very little in life we are much happier living in a Aquascape Inc pond designed & installed by CACs who have the passion & skills for building us a nice home.

    • Don't be boring

    • Well I know I just got so tired of the limited selection of Aquatic plants available that I decided to go back to my school days of horticulture. I had been taught many years ago about a method of growing plants without soil - hydroponics - the wave of the future as it was promoted back then. Well it's the future & hydroponics is back - at least within my company it is. We are experimenting with everything from annuals, perennials and yes even vegetables! Tomatoes in a pond? Yep grow them in your bog areas. As you can see in the attached picture I have Impatiens, Hosta & Black Eyed Susans growing right in the waterfall.   Watergardening is suppose to be fun and educational right? I say go for it - throw the plant rules out the window (or better yet down the stream) and experiment!

    • This is part of a large scale project that we completed - the project consisted of 95' of stream cascading down a hill and flowing through a 6' x 8' pond, then a 11' x 15' pond, under a landbridge and continuing another 35' to the main pond which is 25' x 35' with an area that is 4.5' deep which in turns spills into a negative edge wetlands that is 8' x 12' We also included a few large (5' x 6') flat rocks for the clients to feed the fish and dangle their feet in the water.
    • Isn't it sad?

    • Isn't it sad that in this wonderful hobby there are so many contractors out there that claim to be "Pond Specialist"? Unfortunately I as well as many of my fellow CACs come across 'Waterfeatures done wrong' all too often. Clients that had a dream of a tranquil setting, a place to relax and reconnect with nature are left with something that just becomes a nightmare.  Well I think that one pond done wrong is just too many done wrong. How can we as an industry help help protect the consumer & ensure that their dreams of a beautiful water feature becomes reality? Well the best I could come up with is 10 questions a consumer should ask a contractor (contact me @ www.premiumaquascapes.com for your free copy) The next step (and the credit for this goes to Aquascape Inc.) is hiring a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC) we are a group of contractors trained in Ponds Done Right - Customers Served Right and we have a passion for building functioning eco-system features that will delight our clients, the next step is the hardest - getting the consumer to not just look at the price, but to also look at the value & quality they are getting for that price. So I would love to hear from you the consumer how we (CACs) as the professionals in the watergardening industry can help you make your watergardening experience the best it can be.
