Humid, Pop-Up Storm Today
A weak disturbance or trough stretching down across Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina will allow for the possibility of a few showers and thunderstorms to develop here today. Once the initial cloud and fog deck lifts this morning, hazy sunshine will move in. Today will be quite humid for the first full day of autumn.
How humid will it be ? Well, dew points are likely to climb between 70 and 73 degrees this afternoon. This is quite sticky, especially for fall.
Today's chance of rain is running around 40 percent.
Thursday's chance of rain appears to be less...around 20 percent.
A Canadian cold front will sweep through the Delaware Valley on Thursday, ushering in less humid air and sunny conditions on Friday.
Right now, Saturday looks great, but cool. Mostly sunny -- highs near 67 degrees.
Sunday, however, looks rainy and damp to me at this time for the Eagles Game.
The potential for an inch of rain or more, I think, exists for the second half of the weekend. Sunday's high ? Around 71 degrees.
