Because of all the talk that’s been going on about my last blog, let me say this: I don’t think the starting job is mine because of the round and pick I was drafted, and I don’t think it’s going to be given to me because there’s favoritism.
That’s not my way.
I’m far from my peak, I have not played or showed any comparison to what I did at South Florida and a lot of fans, writers, coaches don’t know that. Me and Orlando are two totally different players. You can’t coach me the same way you coach him. Just like Nnamdi and Asante Samuel, we have two totally different styles.
So for closure, I’m coming into camp with a chip on my shoulder and I think the job will be mine because of the confidence I have in myself and not because of anything else! Everyone is trying to make this a big issue when this is just a needle in a haystack. The big picture is to win our games no matter who the starter is and make the playoffs.
Point blank, period.

is everything for a corner. I am glad you feel the job is yours to lose. The biggest thing anyone can do is put themselves out there for all to see and than back it up. You have done just that and I commend you for it. I agree that you both are different corners. You both bring different skills to the table. With teams in the nickel almost half the time, you both will get more than enough time on the field. In todays NFL, three corners are a necessity.
Keep up the good work.

Nice number... Good luck to you at camp. As a lifelong Cowboy's fan, I am much relieved at the high-quality youth & athleticism we now have in our defensive backfield; I was very glad they drafted you when they did. I don't think you should feel any negative feelings about Orlando, not that you've indicated that in any way.
Scandrick has been a very pleasant surprise based on when he was drafted; but just because he plays more like a 1st rounder than do most 5th rounders, that doesn't in any way mean that you are not living up to your draft position, because you are. I know you guys are going to get All-Pro worthy very quickly and I feel much better having the 2 of you and T-New. Believe me, it has sucked watching earlier teams try to match-up when they were too thin at corner.
By the way... which up-and-coming Cowboy's WR do you see as the hardest to cover? Or is it Felix or Marty-B?
Take care, good luck and good health to you and your team!
