The Lions first mistake was taking Stafford with the number one pick. All that money for a QB who was maybe the 3rd of 4th best coming out of college. Matt should be thanking Tebow, Bradford, and McCoy for his paycheck. i understand the pressure to win in the NFL but with a veteran in Dante and the up and coming Drew E. Stanton the Lions could have spent less and picked up a key player on defense. I was told at a young age by Gaylord Stanton that "defense wins games, offense only determines by how many." What better way to win a city back by giving the hometown kid the ball. Althogh I like to think of Drew as a Laker, his legacy will be in Michigan. All I'm sayin is put a little L.O. on the field and see what happens, seriously!
