Seek and Find
I seek God and find true peace and prosperity.
There are times in my life when I am perfectly comfortable just where I am and others when I am seeking something more. If I am seeking, I need to ask myself what it is I hope to find. Is it greater peace and strength? Is it a change in my career or lifestyle? Do I seek a new skill, a greater challenge or an outlet for my creativity?
My seeking may be prompted by the gentle urging of Spirit to be the best that I can be. I trust Spirit now as I turn within in prayer. By seeking God first, I open myself to abundant blessings. I trust God, knowing I will find the resources, strength and confidence to be all I am meant to be. In God, I experience a life of greater joy, wisdom and prosperity.
From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul.--Deuteronomy 4:29

Saturday, November 7, 2009 – Beauty
"Seeing beauty is about broadening our ability to recognize the interconnectedness of all manifestations of life and delighting in how the smells and sounds and tastes and sights that surround us conspire to draw us toward living fully."
~Oriah Mountain Dreamer
Today's Affirmation
I see beauty all around me.
Today's Meditation
Dear God,
I behold the evidence of Your handiwork all around me.
All of my senses tingle and sizzle with life when I take the time to notice.
Every day contains hundreds of incredible moments, and each one reveals the interrelatedness of life.
The smell of fresh coffee,
the smile of the clerk at the grocery store,
the notes to my favorite song playing on the radio,
the honking of Canada geese as they fly overhead,
the warm embrace of a longtime friend,
the way warm water in the shower flows down my back,
the warm feeling of my bed at the end of a long day,
the sight of my freeway exit after a long trip,
my neighbor's new puppy,
sleeping in for an extra half hour,
watching children jostle out of the school bus door,
the crisp November air and the brilliant red leaves on a maple tree.
Each element of life is connected in the most amazing ways.
For all of these things, and the many others that surround me,
I give You my thanks.
May all the Earth celebrate the life we share.
Amen
