Today's Daily Word - Sunday, October 25, 2009

Prosperity

I am open to abundance and prospered in every way.

As I greet the sun and behold the blessings of an abundant universe, my heart thrills to God's provision. I begin this day filled with a spirit of thanksgiving.

I am grateful for the many ways my life is enriched, for the loving relationships, supportive surroundings and creative outlets for expressing my own God-given gifts.

As I use my gifts to touch the lives of others, I am even more blessed in return. Giving from the abundance that comes my way, I am assured that by sharing, I open to even greater prosperity and fulfillment.

My appreciation for God's blessings grows with each passing day.

"Your heart shall thrill and rejoice, because the abundance of the sea shall be brought to you."--Isaiah 60:5

Sunday, October 25, 2009 – Spirit-Centered

As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, "I will follow you wherever you go."

Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."

He said to another man, "Follow me." But the man replied, "Lord, first let me go and bury my father."

Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God."

Still another said, "I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say good-by to my family."

Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."

We are spiritual beings sharing this physical experience we call life.

Today's Meditation

Dear God,

In this moment, I set my intention to remain focused on You.

There are many voices vying for my attention; the news proclaiming what the so called experts think, challenges, my own fears and insecurities, even the pleasant distractions of my family and life.

Some of these voices are loud and demand that I notice and respond right now.

Your voice is gentle and peaceful, whispering of the Love that You are expressing as me.

In the face of the outer storm I say, “Peace, be still”

I turn within to the eternal Christ presence.

God, Your life in me is strong.

Today, I am Spirit-Centered and open to Love.

Thank You, Sweet Spirit!
