CCAD's President - a huge supporter of Easy Columbus - featured in a new art exhibition. How cool!
The "Botanica" series, the core of a Dennison Griffith exhibition of new paintings at Hammond Harkins Galleries, might never have been created if the artist had spent the summer riding a bicycle.
On Block Island, R.I., while his friends went cycling, Griffith stayed behind to sketch the hydrangeas in bloom.
He became interested in the "dark underneath the hydrangea bush" - which translated into the series.
Griffith, president of the Columbus College of Art & Design, uses the natural world as inspiration for his lyrical, abstract paintings.
